Keep Her Safe

Sitting high upon a throne, was Luci.

"Big bro," Dia called out.

"My apologies," She paused.

"Your highness…" She corrected herself.

"Nah, big bro works just fine…" Luci mumbled.

"What seems to be the problem?" She asked, leaning against an arm of the throne.

"Do you really have any right to ask something like that!?" He snapped.

Dia looked down.

"Y'know," she began.

"I did it for your sake, for everyone's sake!" She cried.

"What, to try to rig the polls in favor of an unworthy ruler such as myself!?" Luci barked.

"We didn't rig the polls!" Dia huffed.

"Don't you get it, you were chosen by the majority!"

"You have the wrong image of me, Dia…" Luci looked down.

"I may have been born chosen for this position, however my heart didn't choose it..." He muttered, burying his face in his hands.

Dia stared at him for a moment.

"Big br-"

"YOUR HIGHNESS!" A voice shouted.

"What seems to be the problem?" Dia glared down at the guard.

"W-we have intruders claiming they came for our princes head…!"

Luci quickly lifted his head up.

There's no way… He thought to himself.

"W-what the…" She paused, then began to giggle uncontrollably.

"Princess, are you-"

"If they want his head, they'll just have to watch out for their own…" She snickered wildly.

Luci quickly turned to her.

"Don't you dare order any counter attacks!" He cried.

"You know as well as I do who these so called 'intruders' are!" He snarled.

"As your advisor…" Dia began.

"I advise you just sit back and shut up!" She shouted, angrily pushing Luci back.

Luci glared up at her, gritting his teeth.

As he sunk back into the throne, he placed a finger on each temple.

C-calm down Luci… They're all demons, they won't die while in Hell, but rather…

"WAIT!" He suddenly cried out loud.

His eyes widened in horror.

"N-NANA!" He screamed from the top of his lungs.

"EVERYONE, PLEASE…!" He stood up, walking to the edge.

Dia quickly pulled him back.

"Don't you dare…!" She cried, holding him as he struggled.

"I'LL JOIN YOU ALL AS SOON AS I CAN!" He cried.

"SO PLEASE...!"

"KEEP HER SAFE!" Luci shouted desperately, as tears streamed down his face.
