The Kabelu Woods pt 2

I decided to call it quits and head back home, but the section of the forest I escaped in was deeper than I thought.

On my way out, I collected any valuable plant or mushroom I crossed paths with.

The land here was uneven with deep gulleys and slants. Here the trees were the size of skyscrapers and the monsters...

I hid behind the roots of a tree for cover instinctively. I don't know what it was. I just felt a shadow looming over me.

When I crouched down to look up there were man-sized wasps alighting off from the ground with man-sized caterpillars. The sight of those wriggly bags of flesh squirming petrified me on the spot.

Eughhhhhh! Goosebumps broke out all over and it took everything within me not to scream. At least I've been saved from the horror of encountering either separately, and am now stuck with witnessing both at once.

This area was higher than my own level but I thought it'd be fine since I simply came to harvest materials. As I listened to the entire forest wake, I stood there wondering(panicking) what to do.

I see.

This isn't the game.

I won't be able to see the type of monsters in this area, their levels or skills. It's blind gameplay. This fact took a huge shock on my body. I can recognize them all but in 3D?...Bugs are truly hideous, I was rooted to that spot for a long time even though I knew I should move.

Like that I probably wasted an hour just standing still and listening, waiting for myself to muster the courage to move, but not knowing what was out there made me scared shitless.

I closed my eyes and tried to remember the layout.

The geography in this place must've changed over the years, there must've been an earthquake altering the terrain here.

Hmm. Alright. Let's go back the way we came, the slimes should be gone, going somewhere else to feed.

Thankfully I was right.

Phew!

I hobbled back the way I came deciding to return to the village.

I needed information. A map, a monster resident list, and...a strategy...
