Chapter 5

<p>The next morning Kayla woke up before everyone in the palace, she stood up from the bed moving around the room thinking of where to start searching for the jewel. she needed to leave soon or else she might be forced to use her powers and reveal herself but she had to find the jewel soon she calmed down and casted an invisibility spell and soon she became invisible, she sliped out of the room and into the main bedroom but the prince was no where to be found, she thanked her luck and soon started her search in the main room but half an hour later she found nothing, she was about to give up when her eye caught a brown covered book hanging from the top of the bookshelf wandering what it was she strood to the self and was about to touch the book when a hand grabbed it before she could reach it, she turned and saw prince Henry<br/> "how dare you touch my things". Henry fumed but Kayla was stunned he could see her but how were her powers fading no it couldn't happen.<br/> "are you deaf or something". Henry asked again when she didn't respond.<br/> "I was just cleaning up the room". Kayla replied nervously.<br/> "you don't have to clean up the maids can do that" Henry said and headed to the bathroom leaving Kayla in her thoughts.<br/> "how did he see me?, is he also a demon, no no he was born by that bloodthirsty king but...I should just stop thinking about it". Kayla tapped her hands twice and the invisibility spell fell off and she walked over to her own room where she met Maria her personal maid.<br/> "did you find it your highness". Maria asked bowing in front of Kayla.<br/> "no I was close to getting an evidence but that prince he ruined it". Kayla said and with that her eyes turned red as purple veins popped on her skin and her teeth became fangs ready to attack.<br/> "your highness you can't let anyone know of your true form". Maria begged but Kayla was not ready she strood over to Maria ready to attack when the door opened and suddenly she regained herself.<br/> "your highness Kayla, the queen said I should call you to the dinning hall". Ivy said poking her head into the room.<br/> "I'll be down soon". Kayla smiled and the door was shut. Soon Kayla was ready and went downstairs to the dinning hall with the help of her maid. She was assigned a chair next to the prince and she sat down looking at the dishes but none interested her, she needed blood but she couldn't have it.<br/> "welcome my dear we've been waiting for you for so long". the queen said and breakfast was served. Kayla ate silently as the queen asked her questions:<br/> "how was your night my dear"<br/> "your highness my night was good and yours". Kayla asked sounding polite.<br/> "has the ritual been done". the king asked staring at his son and back at his daughter-in-law. Kayla was about to speak when Henry blurted out<br/> "yes father". Henry replied and continued his meal.<br/> "I knew you wouldn't disappoint me son, I can't wait to have a grandson soon". the king laughed and the queen smiled at her children</p>
