Mountain top

After getting the permission he needed, Savarus walked out of the resident and got into his carriage, heading straight home so he can have his bath and get a change of clothes.

The moment he finished refreshing himself and getting a change of clothes, he walked back into his carriage and head straight to the Bucadox clan.

On getting there, he could see Bethany already waiting for him. She wore a blue gown stoned with small particles of gems all around it.

As Savarus walked over to Bethany, he stretch out his hand and bow a little like how a real gentleman should, he then kiss on the hand of Bethany as she accepted his.

"Do you have anywhere in mind you want to go?" asked Savarus as they walked over to the carriage.

"I don't really have anywhere in mind to go, and beside why are you asking me, aren't you the one that suggested we should go out?" asked Bethany.

"I just feel like we should go somewhere peaceful and calm where we can relax from all the troubles and training" said Savarus.

"There is actually one place I like going when I was a child, it's a very quiet place, my dad usually take me there when I was young" said Bethany.

"Well then, let's go" said Savarus as he opened the door of the carriage so Bethany could enter.

Bethany gave the horseman the location of the place and they quickly set off to their destination.

After about twenty minutes of riding, they finally got to the place. Just as Bethany said, the place was quiet, calm and peaceful, nobody was seen around, nor even a sight of anyone apart from them.

The view alone was worth the minutes used in getting here, the mountains was covered with grasses all around, a small waterfall was at one side of the mountain, giving the view a calming effect to the mind.

After telling his horseman to wait, Savarus hold Bethany hand and they both walked over to the side of the mountain where the waterfall was located.

On getting to the waterfall, Savarus walked to the corner of the mountain, so he could sit down without getting too close to the waterfall or getting himself wet.

He sat at the edge of the mountain and stretched out his hand for Bethany to take, so she could sit beside him.

"Whatever is giving you that idea that I'm going to sit down there, better get it off your mind because I definitely won't be risking my life by sitting down there" said Bethany.

"Just relax okay?, just sit beside me and you won't fall, beside if you were to fall, I will make sure to catch you" said Savarus with a smile.

"There's no way I'm putting my precious life into your hands" replied Bethany while shaking her head.

"So you do prefer to miss out on this great view by standing there?" asked Savarus.

"I won't risk my life all because of a great view, I'm not that curious and beside what can you see over there that I'm not seeing here?" asked Bethany.

"Peace of mind" was the short reply from Savarus as he look at the waterfall.

"It's surprising how you care so little about life, permit me to ask, why do you care so little about yourself?" asked Bethany.

"Some people do believe that we only have one life, while other believe that if we die, we will be reborn" said Savarus.

"Then what?" asked Bethany.

"Bethany let me ask you this question, what do you think about life, do you believe that if we die, then we will reincarnated or that's the end?" asked Savarus as he continue looking at the water.

"Well I don't actually believe in things like being reborn or a reincarnation cycle, what I do believe is that, we are not the marker of ourselves so we should live the life that's been given to us to the fullest and not just throw it away all because you can be reincarnated" said Bethany.

"You are right, but why is life being unfair to most people, why is life taken from those who really needed it the most, while others who doesn't need it are the one being given to?" asked Savarus.

"As I said before, I'm not the giver of life, but I think those who have been given life were given for a purpose, maybe they haven't it yet that's why they still have it" said Bethany.

"You were right in some aspects, but that's just it, life is a joke" said Savarus.

"Please don't say that, I only have some words for you, if you feel like giving up on life, please don't, life is a precious gift, no matter how rich you are, you can't buy it" replied Bethany.

"According to your words everyone has a purpose to fulfill, I'm pretty sure you haven't fulfill your purpose yet so you won't die yet, come and sit" said Savarus while laughing.

"I can't believe you trick me, so you just said all those emotional words just to find a way for me to sit on the edge of the cliff" said Bethany.

"Just sit down, you won't fall, I promise" said Savarus.

'If what you said is true, then does it means it isn't my time yet or I haven't fulfill my purpose in life that's why I'm still alive even after trying all the possible way to die?' asked Savarus to himself. 'I can't believe I'm even thinking about her words right now, of course it isn't true, what purpose do I have in life that I haven't fulfill over many century now' said Savarus while shaking his head.

The calmness of the mountain was a very good place for someone to forget about all his trouble, the continuous flow of water, and the conversation between Bethany and Savarus was the only sound currently in the mountain.
