A few days later, Uncle John left.

Although he only screamed at Drake and lectured him in the past days, familial love was too strong. The reason why he didn't leave immediately was to make sure the situation stabilized.

Even though he kept saying that Drake greatly disappointed him, he still gave Drake all of his contacts in Frozen City. Some of them were killed by Drake, but most of them were still alive and held a great deal of influence in the city. It included the Ice Wolf Mercenary Leader Jack Butterfly, the Apothecary owner Anasthasia Firefly, the library owner Hugo Bone, and the Wooden Merchant Union Head Fang Zheng.

Fang Zheng also happened to be a beginner wandering acolyte. He possessed magical resources as well, and he would prove to be a very interesting ally to win over.

The 100 trainees from the Ivory Tower also arrived. Drake checked their attributes, and among them, only 4 possessed preparatory knight physiques. The rest of them were youths with the stats of average soldiers.

In other words, the family had sent him average men and women to train. To form an independant force capable of defending Frozen City in this timespan was impossible. Drake could see what the main family was trying to do.

Although they only 'exiled' him in Frozen City for three years, it would take at least a decade to complete the task the main family had charged him with. Uncle John also realized that, but he could not do anything about it.

'They want to exile me, just like they imprisoned my parents...How futile...'

He sure planned on gathering all of them by the time the main family heard a word of it. Drake also bought his uncle's silence with 1 pound of Frozen Leaves.

'Frozen Leaves are only helpful to beginner acolytes. Once you reach the intermediate realm, the gain becomes quite insignificant. It would have taken me at least five years to break through the intermediate realm based on my bloodline purity. However, with the help of Frozen Leaves, I might reach the magic power requirements in one or two years, which is the most difficult requirement to complete!'

Once Uncle John left, Drake initiated his ambitious plans.

His cousins and uncles who tried to hinder his progress in the Moonfall Family were not ready for what was to come.

His subordinates shared similar facial expressions as they read all the measures Drake was setting up.

Inhabitants from the Frozen City were not stupid. They came to learn of the bloodbath. However, they could not protest against the Moonfall Family's decision to appoint Drake as the temporary Mayor.
