Demonic Host & The Ghost Partner

[The present moment]

"Curtis?"

A young boy rubbed his eyes as soon as he gained consciousness, the sleep felt like a deep slumber. But somehow his voice sounded coarse and old, Zaiden had skipped many years in the sleep and now had woken up after a few thousand years later.

Zaiden looked around in the empty restaurant hall in search of his butler but found no one.

"Young master?"

An elderly voice resonated in the hall which snagged Zaiden's attention.

The hall seemed to have been turned into a battle scene due to the tossed chairs and broken windows. But apparently there was no one present except Zaiden and the voice.

It was a void stuck in the time when Zaiden was attacked by the Lancaster lord, when actually outside the void the world had changed. The young master Rivers had no clue that during his stay in the void, he had been shifted to the vampire world.

"Where are you Curtis?"

The young boy/man stood up from the ground and dusted off his clothes while looking around anxiously. He called for his butler who was a cunning bodyguard supposed to remain by his side.

"Master Zaiden,"

The voice echoed again and Zaiden looked behind himself only to see a barely visible blob heading towards him.

"The heck is this!?"

The young boy stepped back cautiously and in the haphazard attempt he stumbled and fell on his butt.

Although the act of innocence and fright stunned the blob, as soon as it reached the young man Zaiden realized something.

"Curtis? Is that you Curtis?"

The blob of smoke took the shape of a face, proceeding into a ghost form and responded to the question placed by the boy.

"Yes master, it's me Curtis."

The blob which was flying settled down on the floor in front of Zaiden's feet.

"Although I'm not sure why I am like this, master. But the last thing I remember is that we fought with the Lancaster family."

Curtis who was a human before but now somehow turned into a blob of smoke could figure out his memories.

But perhaps the young master Rivers took a few moments to decipher the whole situation.

"Curtis, why don't you have a freaking body?"

Zaiden nearly choked over his words because Curtis was supposed to be a sturdy human. But for some reason he had transformed into a mere horrendous blob, which seemed more of a ghost.

"..."

Curtis became speechless upon hearing the words from his master, he had expected some sensible questions from the young boy.

"Just like you have skipped a few years of your life, master. I have somehow changed too, which is highly unusual and inexplainable to me."

He filled in Zaiden who in turn looked down at his own hands and realized that his body had grown into an adult one.

How one would describe Zaiden Rivers, the prodigy who was known for his criminally ingenious and sharp mind. One wouldn't expect such a thing from him. But perhaps that was the demand of the situation.

Within those quiet moments a beep echoed in the hall and a blue screen appeared in the middle of the hall.

[System: The host Zaiden Rivers and Ghost partner Curtis Sanders are identified. Welcome to the Vampire world.]

The screen showed their photos and a mini map of some area, the newly found situation intrigued Zaiden.

"What the heck is happening? Is this some kind of joke by the Lancaster family?"

Zaiden burst out in rage because the cunning family had been playing tricks ever since.

"I'm afraid it's not. But for some unknown reason I don't seem to remember anything else."

Curtis defended himself and flew up in the air besides Zaiden, as they stared at the screen.

[System: Does the ghost partner require a preview of the past hours?]

The voice presented itself to ease their confusion.

"Oh sure. Give me the past full footage of this restaurant from the moment when we arrived."

The blob Curtis ordered.

"But first tell me who or what you are?"

[System: I'm an advanced system specialized to guide you through the vampire world's map and to lead you to the castlevania to conquer. Since the revenge of the host, Mr. Zaiden against vampires is still not avenged.]

Zaiden realized at that moment the system didn't give him the authority but Curtis was the incharge.

"Hey, what does it mean? Why didn't it call out my name?"

The young boy complained not really he cared about it but the realization seemed to piss him off.

[System: Only the ghost partner can operate me. But for that Mr. Curtis has to achieve his fuller credits to unlock the hidden perks.]

"Vampire Realm? Are we really in the territory of our enemies?"

Zaiden knew that the system would not listen to him thus he signaled Curtis, who questioned it.

[Vampire Realm.

Clear indication: Destroy the realm and survive together.]

They both became stunned and looked at each other with no idea why it was happening with them.

Zaiden nodded to the blob who demanded the footage to figure out what had happened with them.

Because a few hours ago they were supposed to be meeting with the heir Raizel Lancaster. Although they both were fully armed with high tech weapons to defeat that noble vampire.

But something must have gone wrong for Zaiden Rivers to be helpless and Curtis becoming a ghost blob.

A light flashed in the room like a projector and a film began to play before them.
