1 Embrace the demon

"No!" Damon yelled as the firefighters held him from entering the burning house of his childhood crush, Samantha. He wanted to save her. To rescue her from the fire. But the firefighters wouldn't allow him to enter the building.

"You can't go! They're dead already." A man screamed, while pointing a gun at Damon's head.

Damon knew they were dead. The screams of terror from the house were gone. He grew up with Samantha and her twin sister, Miranda. For twelve years, Samantha and Miranda were his best friends. Now, both girls were dead, along with the rest of their family.

The assassin with demonic powers burned entire house and escaped

Damon was surrounded by police officers and firefighters who were putting out the fire. He was shocked to see all the people surrounding him. He was even more surprised when a familiar voice called out to him.

"It's your fault!" Damon's inner demon screamed at him. "They died because of you! It's all your fault!"

The police took Damon for questioning, however, Damon was lost in his thoughts. He had never thought that Miranda's parents would do such a thing. Who would have expected that his fiancee's parents would commit murder?

"You know what to do, Damon? Accept me!" the inner demon mocked him. "Accept your fate, as you belong to me! You must obey my commands, and only then, you'll be able to break free from this prison of human flesh."

"No..." Damon whispered.

"You can't escape me, fool! I am here forever, controlling you, torturing you, hurting you…" The inner demon continued its mockery. "Make me proud, as we are bound!"

The demon within him urged Damon to listen to its orders, to let go of his humanity and embrace the darkness. But the boy refused, "No… I will never be your slave." Damon cursed himself.

"But... Aren't you hungry for revenge?" the demon asked. "Aren't you tired of living in pain and misery? Look at your life! Your fiancee's family betrayed you! How can you live like this, being a nobody? Accept your fate, as we are one!"

The demon's voice filled Damon's mind, and he couldn't resist it anymore.

"I am not hungry for revenge..." Damon muttered quietly.

"I AM STARVING!" Damon screamed as he accepted the demon and passed out.

"Hey... Kid? KID?!" The policeman who was holding Damon's shoulders shook him hard.

"Kid, wake up! Snap out of it!" The officer yelled.

"Shit! He is turning into a demon!" One of the policemen shouted.

Two weeks later, Damon woke up in a prison where newly transformed demons were held before they could intergrate into the society. However, the prisoners were kept like an animals because the staff knew demons after regaining their humanity would lose their memories.

"Hurry up!" A doctor ordered the guard. "Clean up this filthy creature." he said pointing at Damon's cell.

Damon's body looked horrible, as the limbs were twisted and bruised in unnatural ways. His hair was dirty and full of dirt. Blood was dripping from his nose, and his fingernails were covered with dried blood and clumps of mud.

"No..." a voice came from Damon's cell, but it wasn't Damon who was talking.

"What the...?" The doctor was surprised. He turned around and saw a demon sitting on the ground in front of Damon's cell.

"W-What the hell is this creature?" the guards were shocked. They looked at each other, and one of them took out his gun.

"I think, his superpower is to manifest his inner demon into a reality." the doctor answered sarcastically. "And I think we should get rid of it."

"Yessir." guards pointed their guns at Damon, who started to smile.

"Roses are red... Violets are blue..." Damon's limbs began to heal and regain their original shape as he stood up.

"Hey, don't play with us!" one of the guards said as he aimed his gun at Damon.

Suddenly, a door appeared inside Damon's cell, and a shadow emerged from it.

"I can see the dead... And... NOW I SEE YOU!" The shadow shouted.

The guard's eyes widened, as he shot aiming at Damon's head. However, the bullet hit an invisible barrier, which soon gained dark colour and shape of the hand. Then the barrier flashed and disappeared, revealing the demon.

Damon's demon passed through the cell doors and materialized. The doctor and guards were caught offguard. As the demon raised it's claws at them.

"Wha..?!" The guards screamed as they felt pain all over their bodies. Their bones started breaking, their skin peeled off, and their organs burst open.

Damon focused his demonic power and strengthened his body. He walked through the cell doors, breaking them.

"Ah yes. What a nice vacation." The demon laughed evilly as he casted his magic.

"Now then... Where is MIRANDA." inner demon and Damon said unison. "I am starving for some revenge."

As Damon was leaving the room, he saw Lilith, who was lying down inside her cell. Damon smirked and walked toward her.

"I have an idea..." Damon said to his demon.

"What?" the inner demon asked.

Damon manifested his inner demon into reality again, and started to breaking all the doors within the facility.

"Let's spread some chaos, shall we?" Damon screamed as he released all the demonic humans from their cells.

Lilith slowly walked to the front of her cell. She was scared and confused, but she knew she needed to escape. Suddenly, Damon's face appeared near her. He was smiling and giggling.

"What's your superpower?" he asked while laughing.

"I can see the dead." Lilith whispered back.

"Ho-oh? Really?" Damon asked with a gasp.

"Yes." Lilith nodded.

"That's all?" Damon asked a little disappointed. He couldn't believe that Lilith possessed a superpower that useless.

"Well... I also can summon them to haunt people." Lilith explained.

Damon smiled, as he was secretly pleased that Lilith possessed such power. "Now that's more like it! Let's get out of this place." Damon made his demon punch the wall, breaking them.

As soon as Damon broke the walls, Lilith ran outside. He followed her. The demons started leaving the facility.

"Let it buuurn. Let it burn." the inner demon sung.

"What the hell is going on here?" The officer questioned.

The officer glanced at the video monitor, where he saw Damon releasing every prisoner there.

"This... is bad."
