Once known as the most feared demonic cultivator in the Immortal World, San Meili met his end and does not know how he died or who killed him. Helpless with his fate, San Meili thought his Dao had come to an end, but it was far from that. "Am I still alive?! And I'm reincarnated as a snake?! How the hell am I supposed to live like this?!!!" -------- My first language is not English, and I speak it very poorly. Good reading! Battle in the Magic Core (Not Edited)

What's with this sense of urgency? Am I going to die? Is Hellen in danger? No... she is in my head, unless something devastating happens, I am sure I can avoid the worst. Jorge too, nothing will happen to him. My mother is powerful enough to deal with her enemies, and she taught me that if there is no way to win, the answer is to run away. She would run away if she was in danger. Has something happened in the Immortal World? Is my daughter in danger? How can I go there? Why is all this happening at the same time?

Looking up as I continued making my way out of this battlefield, I saw Lu Bao Shi flying lightly, without a care in the world.

Lu Bao Shi, are you in danger? Do you feel any danger?

Understanding my question, Lu Bao Shi brightened slightly, and told me that no imminent danger threatened us. Even though I got confirmation from Lu Bao Shi, this feeling didn't go away. I felt like I was sinking into a swamp, and could no longer breathe. It was overwhelming to feel helpless, and even more devastating to know that I could not prevent whatever would happen with my current weak power.

My body was like a deadly weapon as I walked out on this battlefield. My tail was a whip, taking lives like Lady Death's scythe wherever I went. My horns were a pointed spear of the soldiers of a relentless army, clearing a path wherever I went. My spiritual energy was an immortal army, and the trees and plants that grew from it were my children leaving for a cruel and bloodthirsty world.

At all times, Lu Bao Shi helped me to control my spiritual energy. When I used too much, she would return the excess to my body. When I used too little, she would suck more spiritual energy and fix my mistakes. At every moment I could hear Lu Bao Shi's imaginary voice in my mind, telling me where I went wrong and how I could improve.

Wherever my body passed, a trail of blood remained. Jorge had all the glowing spheres that were the magic cores that I would use to increase my realm. I knew that this would not increase my proficiency in using spiritual energy, but Lu Bao Shi would help me with this. What I needed now was power. Power, power, power, and more power!

After some risky fighting and a Hellen shouting that if I kept fighting she would fight too, we managed to get away from the battlefield. I was exhausted and so was Hellen. Jorge was relatively well, just scared. Lu Bao Shi, on the other hand, was completely indifferent.

Something seemed to be making a corner of my brain itch, but I ignored it. This plain was huge, so it was easy to find a place far away from the battlefield. As soon as we stopped, I made Hellen drink my blood. She was a little reluctant at first, but as soon as she took the first sip, her eyes seemed to contain stars as she enjoyed herself. George brought the magic cores. Seeing those cores, I was going to absorb them as quickly as possible.

Before I could, however, Hellen asked me to wait. Her eyes were red, and her mouth had several drops of blood in it. To ordinary people, Hellen would certainly be frightening. But to me, she was simply beautiful, as she always was, and as she always will be. While still observing every detail of Hellen's face, she became serious and began to speak.

"San Meili, I know you already know the risks involved in consuming so many magic cores at once. But I must ask you one more time. Please don't do this." Hellen said with puppy dog eyes.

I almost fell, but I am a strong and determined snake! I don't change my mind just because a beautiful vampire girl is asking me not to do it! Maybe if she asked a few more times. But I won't give her time to do that!

"My beautiful vampire, there is more at stake than you and I realize. I have a sinister feeling something is making my brain itch. And being weak, while virtually any magical beast in either army. As we talk, my mother is fighting for her life with who knows how many powerful beasts. I was not born to be at the bottom of the food chain, my vampire. Being below everyone else is tantamount to a death sentence in my eyes." San Meili's soft voice seemed to fill any doubts Hellen had.

Hellen let out an exasperated sigh, and with a nod of her head, she eventually agreed to this. She ran her hand over my head, which was close to her body. Although it was a gentle touch, I could feel the warmth of her hand well. In a soft, low voice, almost like a whisper, she told me, "That's fine. But only the magic cores with the greatest compatibility with your Plant element, okay?"

Although a bloody war was taking place a few miles away from where we were, all sound seemed to fade away as I listened to Hellen's voice. Our relationship was strange, to say the least. With a turbulent start, we still managed to get this close. The world seemed to have more color with her around. And even in this dark world where the only light present was from the destructive attacks used on the battlefield miles away, I could see every part of her face, every pore, every thread in her well-drawn brow. I could smell the scent of my blood that still stained her plump lips and... holy shit, I fell in love with a vampire. Looking at Hellen's face that still awaited an answer, I nodded, and she left with undisguised glee to choose the magical cores.

A few minutes passed, and now the magic cores were sorted. The ones I would consume were arranged in two piles. In one pile were all the Water element magic cores, and in a pile next to them were the Earth element magic cores. For a plant to be born and grow strong and healthy, several things are needed, but some of the most essential are sunlight, good soil, and that they are watered so that they are always hydrated. Of all the magical beasts that Hellen, Jorge, and I killed, there were no magical beasts of the Light element, so I will have to make do with the Water and Earth elements.

Just as I was about to start absorbing the cores, Hellen intervened once again.

"I will give you the cores that you will absorb. Do it slowly and don't speed up the process. I know magical beasts don't do this, but my father said that other races often meditate while absorbing energy. Try to do this to help him." Hellen said as she picked up a magic core of the Water element.

I opened my mouth, and Hellen gently put the magic core above my tongue. Without much difficulty, I swallowed it. Closing my eyes, I remembered all the times I had meditated in my past life. Focusing all my senses inward, I found my magic core and focused my attention on it, but nothing was happening.

At that moment I felt Lu Bao Shi land on my head, and it seemed that I could now see my magic core. It was green in its entirety, but there were spots of another color. I didn't know what color it was. None of my three ways of seeing were enough to understand this color.

My magic core was a little faded, without color. Maybe this was because my spiritual energy was almost exhausted. I kept watching the magic core, trying to stimulate it in various ways, but nothing worked. Then a Water spiritual energy surged in like a raging tide. This magic energy was trying with all its might to take my core for itself.

It was like the fighting of two armies. The blue army had a powerful cavalry with unstoppable momentum. The green army was like an ancient mountain that resisted everything, defending my core. The blue color was attacking from all directions, and the weak green color left in my magic core continued to resist with all its strength.

Even though there was no sound, I seemed to be able to hear the war cries of the blue army, commanding its cavalry to continue marching to victory, while the commander of the green army with unfathomable calm told his brave warriors to resist. Several ideas arose in my mind as I watched this legendary war taking place inside my body. Ideas of how to use my spiritual energy without wasting it. Ideas of how the spiritual energy behaves inside my body when I don't use it.

Even though I was focused on my magic core, from the corner of my eyes I could see several green paths that seemed to take the spiritual energy from my core to every part of my body. Some time passed, and I honestly don't know how much.

The blue army had lost its momentum and was now being massacred by the green army. The green army arrogantly took the entire blue army as prisoners and took them into their castle, which was my magic core. Then I felt my body getting stronger and my spiritual energy becoming denser.

I finally understood why half of the spiritual energy of the magic cores that I absorb is lost in the process. Spiritual energy, regardless of the element, refuses to be used as fuel and ends up rebelling against whoever consumed it.

A battle for dominance is waged outside the core of the magical beast, which is why absorbing magical cores is so painful. And in the end, even if you win, some part of the spiritual energy you absorbed is lost in the battle of who will dominate.

Opening my eyes, I saw Hellen's worried face. I tried to smile but forgot for a moment that the muscles in my face couldn't do that.

"I am fine, my vampire. How long has it been?" I asked, trying my best to show that I was okay.

"Are you sure you're okay, don't you feel pain somewhere? Jorge, see if he is lying to us. Only a few minutes have passed." Hellen said.

Jorge was now checking my body, squeezing my scales, and looking at every part he found abnormal. Seeing Jorge's small body next to my giant body, I felt like laughing. He is so cute! After making sure I was okay, and being checked once more by Hellen, I went back to absorbing the Water magic cores.

At some point, my power went up and now I am an advanced stage 3 magic beast! But to achieve this, all the Water element magic cores were used up, and only the Earth element cores remained. As soon as Hellen put the first Earth element magic core into my mouth, I focused on my magic core once more.

Now it was completely replenished. A greenish aura surrounded the whole magical core, and from time to time the green light disappeared and rays of light of a strange color pulsed out from the center of the magical core.

The whole circumscribing space of the magic core was dark before without the slightest remnant of light. But now, perhaps because I was so tired, I could hear something like the sound of the sea. And sometimes there even seemed to be waves breaking close to my core. Still focused on my core, I asked Lu Bao Shi if I had gone crazy. And his answer was simple and direct.

"Maybe you were already crazy, you just didn't know it yet."

That damn butterfly should learn to be kinder. But I still love you, you ingrate!

While I was thinking these things, an army of giant creatures of the earth element arrived. The second round for the sovereignty of my magic core was about to begin.
