Chapter 6: The beginning of a tragedy.

It all began in the great celestial kingdom a little over a thousand years ago.

The supreme god, superior to any other deity or inhabitant of heaven, decided to create a species different from the others that inhabited the world he had created long ago.

He decided that this species should not be similar to the other animals or creatures of the planet, so he took as a mold, his own body and those of the angels that inhabited the sky.

This new species would not have wings, nor a power as great as that of the gods, but in exchange they could have emotions and feel what the inhabitants of heaven could not, and thus, the creation of the human race took place that day.

Humans were curious creatures and hungry for knowledge, which made them discover magic, a few hundred years after its origin.

To the celestial entities, although it seemed like a waste of power to create such emotionally unstable beings, it was interesting in a way for them to see them progress with magic and technology.

Some were worried that one day the magic of humans would become so powerful that they would try to oppose the gods, and there were even angels who wanted to do a preemptive massacre or at least let them know their place in existence before that happened, but they could not because of the main rule imposed on the heavens by the supreme god.

"There must never be direct interference from the heavens in the world."

However even though most of the angels had given up on that attempt to interact with humans, only one prevailed in his idea of interacting with humans.

The most powerful angel and closest to the power of the gods, Lucifer, the favorite angel of the supreme God.

However, unlike the other angels, Lucifer's objective was not to make contact with humans to execute a massacre, but rather, he wanted to observe them more closely, to learn from them, and to verify that they were really what they called feelings.

For that purpose, Lucifer descended to the land of mortals disguised as a human, although all he really did was to use light magic to make his wings invisible, and as for clothing, he used the same magic to create the illusion of wearing ordinary clothes.

At the time he descended he was treated in various ways by humans, from kindly to help him with directions in the cities and towns he visited, to being treated with disdain by nobles and merchants who saw his peasant garments, which gave the impression that he was quite poor.

Lucifer really didn't understand why clothes were a source of derision for people with cleaner garments, but he really didn't care too much, after all he was there to observe, besides, all he did was to imitate the most used garment in this world, so even if he had feelings, he would have no reason to be ashamed, not to mention that several of the people around him always helped him or comforted him, even if it wasn't necessary.

During his research he discovered that humans were creatures full of desire, in fact most people, fulfilled the minimum characteristics to say that they possessed the 7 deadly sins.

«Is this because of feelings?»

Lucifer on multiple occasions thought about it, but he did not want to believe that something that was granted to them by the supreme god, would cause such an effect in these creatures, because if that was the case, it would mean that his lord was not perfect being the creator of humans.

Lucifer had an idea, however, to turn that imperfection into something that would succeed in benefiting the heavens.

«Prayers.»

Despite the imperfections of humans and their worldly desires, Lucifer liked that species, so it would be a shame to have to exterminate them for being sinful creatures, he wanted to avoid it, and for that he decided to make humans strengthen heaven, through prayers and prayers for the gods, and to that end, he had to become the person who would fulfill their wishes and desires.

Since then Lucifer traveled the world, fulfilling those wishes, while proclaiming that he was a messenger of God, and that they should pray to the heavens as a sign of gratitude.

He healed all the sick, helped the soldiers of different countries, teaching them how to create weapons and shields to defend their people, helped people with fewer resources to prosper with his ingenious and innovative mercantile ideas, and even helped them to have greater advances in their control of magic.

And with that his plan had worked at first, as all those he had helped began to pray to the heavens as a sign of thanks, and the others continued to pray for their prayers to be heard, although without realizing it, the prayers of the humans began to increase progressively, after all, they were greedy creatures that could not be satisfied.

But he did not notice this until after he had embarked on a long journey with the only person he considered his friend in those lands previously unknown to him.

A sorcerer of enormous power, almost comparable to his own, who helped him fulfill his dream of helping his master, while observing the humans.

A man who would later be known as the king of hell.

The one called Samael would soon make his first move together with his friend, who would soon become the prince of darkness.

And what is much worse, Lucifer did not realize what his actions provoked in the heavens, and the uneasiness that the gods had in front of this event.

As for the gods, since Lucifer came down to earth, they felt overwhelmed, they did not know what he was planning to do, nor why he was helping humans in this way, yet this caused them to worry that he was trying to use humans to start a war against heaven and during the commotion, take the heavenly throne.

In those aspects the gods were quite suspicious, especially in this case, where one of the most powerful angels, was teaching powerful magic to mortals, and not only that, but was arming them with knowledge and tools that only the celestials had seen, they did not need more fundamentals than that, they needed to bring him before the supreme god and prosecute him for his crime of interacting with humans.

Yet this made them wonder why their all-seeing god had done nothing about Lucifer's actions?

Was it because he was his favorite angel or something else, perhaps he turned a blind eye to Lucifer's actions so as not to have to prosecute him, or perhaps he was unaware of the actions of his right hand man.

But if those last ones were the reasons, then it meant that the one who sat on the heavenly throne was not all powerful, as everyone believed, and was also someone of irresponsible character, maybe that was the reason why he created such inferior and sinful creatures, it was because his god was imperfect.

The doubts among the gods were growing more and more, and it only took a little push, for a rebellion or revolution to start in the heavens, but for now they had to wait patiently and try to solve the problem that Lucifer had caused, with the insecurity of the heavens.

Little did they know that the rebellion they thought was still a long way off had already begun, and that the heavenly realm would soon receive shocking news that would shake the world as they knew it, for celestials and mortals alike.

That day, the news that the supreme god had died spread throughout the kingdom, causing complete panic in the heavenly paradise.
