Chapter 1: Demon Land. Part 2

Part 2

We ran together for a few minutes and when we were close enough to the center of town, I took Aki's arm and led her to an alley nearby to observe what was happening in a safe way.

Perhaps she simply reacted to the danger, but this action took only a couple of seconds, and as we stood in silence we watched carefully.

What we saw were dozens of houses being burned throughout the area comprising Diyu village.

There were only four knights dressed in black armor causing such an atrocious spectacle, when I saw the shield on their armor I knew immediately that they were soldiers sent by the Corenarva kingdom probably under the orders of the church, to finish the cleansing of the demonic race.

The latter was immediately corroborated when I saw a knight in silver armor heading towards the center.

All those knights showed to have an enormous skill with the sword and magic, due to their posture and presence, however the last one that arrived, was closer to a monster, the magical energy that came from him was like seeing an abyss, at least compared to the rest of the villagers, and his face showed dignity and mental strength.

It was strange that they had come to a village so far away, even to be a target for extermination, and besides the way they performed their blissful task was inhuman, children and old people were brutally killed, some women were caught and beaten to death with their fists, they were definitely not going to take any hostages or prisoners.

They were there to annihilate them all, leaving not a single survivor.

Gin looked attentively at the knights ignoring Aki who was at his back, when suddenly his legs began to tremble, then he clenched his teeth tightly in anger and then fell to his knees in disbelief.

—Why? —I asked in a whisper to myself, as I watched my hometown being completely burned and its inhabitants mercilessly killed.

Aki in turn was also in shock, and as she covered her mouth, several tears slid down her cheeks.

I was prostrate on the floor in despair on the verge of tears, but at that moment several demons were brought to the center by one of the soldiers who was searching for survivors.

As in the other case, there were several women, old people and children, counting the young and adult men, there were about 20 demons, and among them was....

My mother.

My legs don't move, what does this mean, am I such a coward, my own mother is about to be killed and I can't even take a single step to protect her, "move, quick, move, damn it".

I incessantly pounded the ground without noticing that my fists were bleeding more and more with each blow I gave, apparently the enormous frustration and impotence I felt at that moment denied the self-inflicted pain in my hands.

Aki who noticed my suffering, hugged me from behind, and later I saw how my mother was decapitated while she looked in my direction with a gentle smile, as if she knew that I was in this place.

At that moment I could no longer hear what was happening around me, I felt as if a crystal had been shattered in my mind.

—«Did she know I was here? Did she know I wouldn't help her? Why did she die with such a gentle expression? Was this her way of saying she forgave me? Why am I so weak? What good are these muscles if I don't use them when I need them? Is it my fault? Did my laziness cause this? What should I have done? What should I do?» —These questions tormented my mind and kept me from thinking clearly.

Why is this happening to us, God, who the hell is he, who the hell decided this fate for us, the church, the kingdoms under his control, the humans? Perhaps, in reality, I am simply a coward seeking solace in these questions, trying to blame someone else.

She was a woman who believed fervently that demons and humans could understand each other, a woman who gave only love to the world, she always smiled at me when I needed it most, and supported me with all my choices, even if others disagreed.

I wanted to master my unique magic as soon as possible, to make her proud, I dedicated myself to study and research about the world and its history, so I could help the other demons, and now everything is in vain, my mother is dead and I will never see that welcoming smile again.

Slowly I was falling into despair and as I sobbed, Aki stood up with determination, when they were about to murder the children, slowly my blurred sight went to my beloved who was walking away towards the center of the village, and realizing her goal, I tried to stop her immediately grabbing her arm, but my hand did not reach and as she noticed my intentions, she gave me back a smile, which told me that there was no other option.

If we were talking I would have refuted that with all my might, after all we could have run away and made a family somewhere else, but knowing Aki's personality, she would not have been able to live with herself knowing that she had abandoned her people, who could.

She is that kind of woman after all, cheerful, strong and impertinent, even though she knows she doesn't have the slightest chance of winning, she will fight for her convictions and ideals.

My mother was dead and the last person I loved most in this world, was about to face those gentlemen alone, I had to get up and help her, so I dried my tears, but still I couldn't get my legs to move, until....

—OOOOOOOIIIIIIII, SHIT KNIGHTS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? —shouted Aki with all her strength and a heroic pose to the knights to distract them and prevent them from continuing with the slaughter.

At that moment I could do nothing but laugh, although my feelings were of despair, that stupid action, revitalized me slightly, it was like going back to the old days when we were kids, and as if my fears had vanished, I got up slowly, this was not the time to regret, if I didn't want to lose anything else, I had to get up and fight alongside this troubled girl.

The best option in these cases would have been to attack them unprepared, but Aki of course, completely ruined the advantage of the surprise factor.

—You really are unique, in a good way and in a bad way... —I said as I approached her, laughing forcibly and trying to forget the huge sadness I was feeling at that moment.

—I- idiot, why did you go out too, and what do you mean by bad sense? —Said Aki a little nervous and angry as soon as I positioned myself next to her, although her face looks much more relaxed than before.

Of course I was furious and full of anguish, but still I couldn't help but argue with Aki as if it was something natural.

—You expected me to stand by and watch as my beloved was mercilessly defeated by those bastards —I said with a smile while trying to hide my fear.

—Do I look so untrustworthy? —Aki replied a bit annoyed, as she continued to watch the knights.

—Of course not, but these opponents are strong, and as your husband I must protect you until my last breath. —I answered with a serious voice while I was watching the knights with determination.

Even if I didn't like fighting, I was confident enough to subdue the 4 knights, but I was definitely going to be killed by the man in silver armor if I underestimated him.

Aki blushed slightly upon hearing my words and then looked at the knights again with unmatched concentration, after whispering —idiot —in an adorable manner.

The knights just watched us with a macabre smile, while we were arguing, they didn't look surprised or much less worried, they were probably waiting for some demons to come out to protect the children, it was definitely a very cruel thought.

—Look everyone, the lord has brought us a young demon with a perfect body to let off some steam, hahahahahahahaha —said one of the knights with a lustful look towards Aki.

—And she came accompanied by a huge bodyguard, I have never seen such a big demon in these villages, I wonder what kind she is, —added another of the knights next to him, who was stroking his goatee up and down.

—I don't know, but I hope it will help us at least to stretch our muscles, the rest of these scumbags died too fast, —said the shortest knight, in fact he seemed to be just a child not much older than the demons next to him.

—I just want to get my hands on that beautiful demon woman, I can't wait anymore, —said the last knight in black armor, while licking his lips in a perverted way.

The knight of the church, looked with disgust at the two knights who had lewd expressions on their faces and in a split second he swung his sword between them.

—I don't care if you belong or not to the knights of the church, while I am here I will not allow such impure acts, even against our sworn enemy, if you continue with this, you will taste the steel of my sword and you will suffer the same fate as the demons, understood, —said the holy knight with a sharp look at the two perverted knights.

They both looked at the sword with complete terror and only managed to nod in response to his words, even if inside they were against it, there was no chance that they would deny anything that man said.

—Sir Risten, I regret the insolence of these two useless knights, as soon as we return to our kingdom, I will make sure they receive a proper punishment, —said the knight who was apparently a child, as he bowed with total respect to the silver-armored knight.

The holy knight named Risten, nodded with a serious expression at the boy's apology, and continued....

—You probably don't feel it, but those demons are much more powerful than you think, especially the male on the right, he probably has the power of a demon general or even a demon lord, to underestimate him is forbidden, understood? —asked Risten, after giving the details of his enemies.

The knight Risten, made an analysis of our strength just by perceiving our magical power, no doubt he is someone cautious.

Obtaining information is one of the most important areas when facing an enemy, from weaponry, skills and number of soldiers, knowing all that can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

After all ignorance and lack of preparation can be fatal, even in villages like this one, our opponent is being cautious in noticing our magical power, this is not a sign of cowardice or insecurity, rather it is the best course of action to take in case your information is precarious.

He probably wants to measure our potential and finish us off when we are exhausted, but I will not give him that opportunity.

—My lord with all due respect, aren't you overestimating these beasts? I think we should do the usual and… —said with a superior expression one of the soldiers that Risten had threatened before, but he was interrupted by a hard blow.

At the moment that soldier was talking, I jumped with all my strength at a speed imperceptible to an ordinary person and then with a spinning kick I threw him against a house, and as soon as I stopped I took advantage of the surprise of the soldiers to knock out another one with a punch to the ground and after that, I jumped backwards, at that moment I was surrounded by a mantle of fire, which is one of the magical abilities that Aki possesses.

She is not very good at using counterattack magics, so she decided to learn support magic instead.

Although Aki's magic is not that strong, the igneous cloak she created protects me from any magical attacks, as long as it does not exceed Aki's power by much, however I am still affected by physical attacks, and the magic is undone either by an external factor or by time duration of the magic, she will have to conjure again after a few minutes.

The two black armored knights left standing, were surprised, but almost immediately after that they prepared to attack me with a smile.

The holy knight, just stood watching me intently, he didn't seem to care about his current situation, rather I think he was analyzing me thoroughly.

My face on the other hand if I had to describe it I would say it was a mix between seriousness for the current battle, anger for the demons killed and sadness for having to hurt other people to survive.

I knew I had to get those feelings out of my head and stay composed during the fight, however I think it is inevitable.

Seeing my neighboring friends and my mother die, then being forced to fight to protect what little is left of the village even though I am a pacifist, and finally sacrificing myself uselessly in this battle that I will not win.

At least I hope that when this is over Aki and some children will survive.

There were only two left before the real fight, they were a boy who had a sadistic and ecstatic smile, and an old man who was very thin but had an expression full of security and confidence.

They both covered themselves as well as me with a magic cloak, since they saw my abilities I guess they are physical reinforcement, but I can't be entirely sure, as for Risten I don't take any defensive measures.

If he is very sure of himself and thinks he won't need it or if he knows I won't attack him yet, it's a complete mystery to me.

I took a few seconds to take a quick look at the two I had hit and they were indeed in the rubble out of combat, at least that is no longer a concern for me.

Without wasting any more time, they started attacking me at great speed, although of course they were not reaching mine, their combined attacks become difficult to dodge over time, they are definitely professionals.

The old man had a rapier with which he lashed out at me without ceasing for a single second, he watched me attentively without taking his eyes off me, in fact it seemed that he didn't even blink.

As for the boy, his skill was not deficient, he diligently wielded his sword to the points that the other knight did not reach, but what put me at a greater disadvantage was that he used a demon-killing sword, which thanks to the red crystal in its hilt, absorbs my magical and vital energy when it approaches.

Why on earth would a simple child have a sword like that, don't they know that this sword absorbs the years of life of the bearer once it is destroyed or its useful life is over.

At that moment I gritted my teeth at the thought of how far they will go to annihilate our race.

There are 4 legendary swords in this world, one of them is the demon killing sword, which as its name suggests is specifically for killing demons, it has a red crystal in the hilt that specifically absorbs demonic energy and is forged with magical steel which helps the sword to be one with its wielder, This means that the stronger a person becomes, the more powerful their sword will become, there are times when they change their shape to suit the abilities of their wielder, so they are very valuable and difficult to produce, that is why most people who have one are adventurers of middle rank and up, nobles, and high ranking knights.

In the case of legendary swords it is not impossible to reproduce them, although it is quite difficult due to the materials used, but logically even if they manage to make a perfect functional replica, it will never have the power of the original.

And also all these swords are cursed, regardless of whether it is a replica or not.

The other swords are:

The soul remover, a sword that inflicts damage directly to the spirit inside you, the original will not do you any external damage, but you will die the instant you are pierced, because your soul will be extracted from your body and will become energy for the sword.

Another one is the dragon slayer, this sword was used by the heroes of ancient times to defend themselves from dragons, but even carrying this sword capable of piercing their hard scales, it must be used by someone worthy and with great skills or it will not be of much help to kill a dragon of medium level and above.

The last one is the deity slayer, this sword has only been recorded to exist, but in reality it has never been used in combat, some say that this sword was used in an ancient war against the angels, according to them a hero in ancient times killed 30 angels sent to earth to destroy it for awakening the wrath of God, still there is not much information about it.

This child obviously has a replica, but at the same time that means that he has a high rank among the knights, and the most discouraging thing is that no one finds it strange, so there are chances that they use more children in this way, do they have no respect for life, it is incredible that they dare to call this justice.

After a couple of minutes my energy had diminished to a great extent, and Aki's mantle had also been absorbed by the demon killing sword, but even though I was unprotected not one of the knights decided to use magic against me, they probably wanted to defeat me with their swords.

The more time passed, slash wounds began to slice me in various parts of my body, the ones that hurt the most were obviously those of the young man who because of the skill of his sword caused my energy to be drained faster with each wound.

For a brief moment I watched the knight of the church and saw how he headed towards the survivors after he lost interest in my combat.

Aki shouted for him to stop in desperation because he knew what would happen when he reached the demons, and then he cast the fireball spell towards the knights that were ramming me with their attacks and another one directly towards Risten's head.

Aki's fireballs are not very powerful, in fact you could hardly call them an attack due to his lack of skill with magic, but in this case they helped me a lot, since the enemy did not know the true strength of the attack, which as a precaution would force them to dodge.

And just as I predicted, they did, which caused a cloud of dust to rise due to the impact of the fireball against the ground.

Taking advantage of the lack of visibility of the knights, I punched the boy in the stomach, which caused him to spit blood and saliva by reflex and fell to the ground in pain, then I tried to give a side kick to the old man, but he blocked it with his crossed arms, so the armor received the full impact of the blow.

Besides, they have a magic mantle that protected them and they have been draining my power, so it is obvious that my attacks are less than half of their potential and I could not defeat them like the previous ones.

The old man, wasted no time and swung his sword at me, I almost failed to dodge it due to feeling a little heavy from the loss of power.

When I stepped back I decided to see if the fireball had hit Risten, although I knew it wouldn't hurt him even if it was a high level fireball, even so just out of curiosity I looked up to get a better look.

And what I saw was one of the first soldiers I knocked out, holding a shield to avoid the impact, although probably the shield was unnecessary, for me it was a huge surprise to see that he was still standing after that big hit.

I looked at him pretending that his presence did not affect me, but when I saw him smiling mischievously, I noticed that the other knight was not in the rubble either.

I quickly turned around to tell Aki to be careful, but it was useless as I was already being subdued by the other knight at that moment.

It was too naive to believe that I could stop even these black armored knights, if I'm not willing to murder as my enemy, it's obvious the result.

Without even waiting to be threatened with Aki's life, I knelt with my arms slightly raised in surrender and submission.

I was too exhausted to continue with this fight of futile resistance, my lazy character acquired over the years would not let me spend more energy, in truth I am useless for fights, a coward, even with the life of my beloved at stake.

The old knight who withstood my blow a while ago approached me and simply positioned the tip of the blade in front of my face, I could hear the screams of the children and the other demons who were being killed one after another by Risten.

I was already very tired, both physically and mentally, I just wanted it all to end once and for all.

I looked at the decapitated body of my mother, it is something strange, even though I feel a strong oppression in my heart, I no longer feel that despair, maybe it is because we will soon be together again.

I apologized to my mother for being so weak and closed my eyes, accepting my death.

—STOP DOING THAT FUCKING PSYCHOPATH!!!, THE CHILDREN HAVE DONE NOTHING, YOU CALL THIS JUSTICE, YOU FUCKING SICK!!! —shouted Aki with all her strength to Risten, while struggling with the gentleman who approached her to our position.

Again Aki brought me back to my senses, that scream is unnecessary and probably wouldn't change anything, but that was Aki, an honest and irreverent woman.

I couldn't help but smile slightly at the sound of her voice.

—You're an idiot, you're definitely just an insect that doesn't know its place, —said the knight who brought her, while pulling her hair tightly.

—Unhappy, don't hurt her, —I said furiously to the knight while being held by two others.

—You thought you could defeat us, we are knights of the Corenarva empire, someone of your kind will never be able to drink from the chalice of victory, —replied the knight arrogantly.

He was about to refute, when suddenly the knight Risten began to speak with a monotonous voice, and a cold look without any kind of emotion.

—The demons and humans have fought in countless battles for generations, this is because we are the representatives of heaven and hell in the earthly world, we knights are the swords of those representatives, in other words, the protectors of our race, even if a demon and a human manage to understand each other, we will always be opposing races which will lead us one day to self-destruction, To avoid that destiny we must wield our swords against you, that is why we are justice, those who will eliminate everything that represents a danger to our citizens or that contaminates our world, with these words said please die for our justice, —explained Risten while he coldly observed the demons he had killed.

Risten's words expressed what his dogma stated, but still it is too convenient, humans can get along with demons, many adventurers pass through demon lands and even buy supplies from us or stop to rest.

If what he said was true, there would have long ago been news of fights between us and the adventurers, definitely the church has total control and influence over their faithful it's almost as if they have no will.

The moment Risten finished speaking everyone raised their swords ready to kill us, but a few seconds before our inevitable death, a sword was shot into Aki's heart.

That sword was the demon slayer whose innate ability will cause the soul of any demon killed by it to be absorbed and reused as energy for it, in other words neither resurrection nor reincarnation can be applied to that demon.

—Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh —I shouted with a voice full of suffering and despair while trying to get the knights off my back.

What is this? Aki has been watching me with his typical smile of everything will be fine, what the heck, why now, can't we see each other in our other life? Having a reunion of our past lives, we won't even be able to meet in the afterlife, this is different from when my mother died, this pain, I've never felt anything like this, I'm tired, but I have to destroy that sword, my eyes feel very heavy, but my anger against that boy who threw his sword doesn't let me close them, everything looks bleak, and as soon as Aki lost consciousness, I felt something again broke inside me, and in turn I felt like I fell into a dark abyss.

—I want everything to disappear, I want everyone to pay for what they did, I want to destroy that sword, I want... to rest and wake up from this horrible nightmare —I whispered between sobs before losing myself.

—I understand your wishes, and I will fulfill them as you have asked, in return I only ask that you allow me to reside in your body until the end of your time, —said a gentle male voice inside my head.

I wasn't thinking, in fact I didn't want to think at all, so regardless of the consequences I simply accepted with a very weak "yes".

Not even five seconds passed since Gin had lost consciousness, but at that very moment she raised her head as if nothing had happened.

The knights around him did not perceive any change in him, so they did not take care of him, however at that moment Risten turned his gaze to Gin, with an expression of surprise and bewilderment, something uncommon in a knight like him.

After killing the last demon, Risten quickly gave an order to the knights.

—Get away from that demon immediately, that's an order, —shouted Risten to the knights in a hurry.

The only one who reacted to that order was the old man, who quickly grabbed the boy who could not get up because of the pain that persisted in his stomach but still had a smile for having stabbed that demon, and then jumped forward to approach Risten's position.

While the other knights who continued to hold Gin were impaled by two instantly created earth thorns.

At the surprised looks of the old man and the boy, Gin stood up and began to stretch his muscles and back while yawning loudly.

—It seems I found a powerful vessel, I hope one day you will learn to use this power to its fullest, —said Gin to himself.

—Who are you? —asked Risten with his typical cold and calculating expression.

Gin didn't seem to be very interested in the knights so he lazily and irreverently listened to the question, and looked at them with disgust as he answered.

—My name is Belphegor of the fourth hell, you have aroused the wrath of my benefactor, which caused him to be released in the process, now without more to say... die, please, —said Belphegor with a tired voice and a look that showed the fury of a god.

The moment Belphegor stopped speaking, thorns of earth sprouted throughout the area that were sharper than any sword and harder than steel.

—That guy uses earth elemental magic, this will be difficult, —said the old man as he nimbly dodged the thorns, jumping between the houses.

—It is not elemental magic, it is probably of creation, elemental magic although it can change the shape and hardness, it does not have so much versatility nor can it change the resistance to this point, —said Risten while incessantly dodging the thorns that emerged from the houses and the ground at a great speed.

Because the thorns were taking them to the edge of the village, Risten thought they could regroup or escape if they jumped the last house, since if they continued to carry a wounded knight, they would have no freedom of movement, the other option of course was to get rid of him, but Risten decided there was no need for that, besides he was still the squad leader so the safety of his group was first in his mind, even though, if the other two knights were alive, he would probably think of some way to rescue them before fleeing.

However, the thorns stopped, of course this did not change their plan to regroup, but the demon in front of them did.

His speed was such, that he did not even give them time to react to his presence, and then that demon with a kick given with terrifying speed threw the old man against the thorns, without even giving him time to think of any countermeasure.

The knight died instantly as soon as he hit the thorns, but since he managed to release the boy in time, he survived.

—I really think the best option would have been to try to attack me instead of running away and getting tired to make my job easier, well let's get this over with, I still have to free the soul of that girl, —said Belphegor arrogantly while covering his mouth with his hand covering his yawn.

Risten wielded his sword with seriousness in front of the demon and with a speed comparable to that of light, he began to swing it agile, elegant and fast against his opponent.

In his mind even though the demon had obtained a power similar to that of a demon king, he still had a chance to defeat him if he had not become accustomed to his body.

Risten had heard that the seven deadly sins were existences similar to evil spirits or demons without physical bodies from the underworld, the only difference was that each of these existences were capable of destroying entire countries for fun or to pass the time, that's why they chose very powerful people with similar characteristics to them, in fact the first demon king until before his death contained the sin of Wrath, the great Amon.

Risten was often told that he had a power similar to that of the hero, although they could have been unfounded comments, he decided to believe them and that was also one of the reasons why he carried out his justice as if he were the Hero himself, who was the one who did not feel fear, nor who did not retreat before any battle.

That was Risten, the self-appointed hero, who despite being born in the slums, and without any living relative, when he came of age to join the knights, rose among them with his great power and leadership, and thus managed to get to where he is now.

His reasoning told him that if his admired hero was able to defeat a demon king with a cardinal sin, he should also be able to defeat a higher class demon with a newly acquired cardinal sin, he would definitely not be defeated.

Or at least that's what he thought....

Each of the attacks was dodged without much effort, no matter how powerful his attack was or how many times he attacked, he never hit his target.

After a few minutes he thought that at least, that demon would get tired, but it was the opposite, his body felt heavy, and his movements became clumsy and unnecessary, it was like a nightmare, he who was closer to the power of the great hero, was being sublimated by a simple demon, although his dignity did not allow him to show weakness, he could not avoid showing his tiredness with an agitated breathing.

—What did you do? —asked Risten with a cold, but slightly angry expression.

—I guess one of my abilities was activated unconsciously, "attrition", anyone who struggles in my presence, will become progressively weaker while in battle, but this only affects the weak, I didn't think it would affect someone of your supposedly great level, I guess this is where it ends, huh? —said Belphegor with a bored expression on his face.

Risten couldn't understand what Belphegor was saying, for someone to call him weak was inadmissible, of course there were people who were stronger than him, but still, he was among the top fifty holy knights, no person would even think of calling him weak.

—It's okay if you don't want to tell me, I'll just have to make you take back your words and tell me the truth —declared Risten with a serious expression as he prepared to make his best attack.

All the power that Risten had was accumulated in the blade of his sword, just with one cut it would seem that he could kill any demon, perhaps he knew that if he didn't give it all at that moment, he would inevitably lose.

But as soon as he swung the sword, it was stopped with only two fingers of the demon and then with his free hand, he pierced Risten's stomach without any resistance.

He could not believe it, all the effort he had made up to that moment would be lost, everything was useless against that monster, he was rapidly losing consciousness, but he resisted anyway, he definitely had to inform his superiors about the existence of this monster.

He tried to pull Belphegor's hand out of his stomach with all his strength, but it was useless, even so Belphegor voluntarily pulled out his hand and placed it on Risten's armor.

And in that instant his life gave its last breath, since inside the armor became hundreds of thorns that pierced completely the body of the holy knight.

Subsequently Belphegor undid his thorn magic in the village as if that event had never happened, all that remained were pools of blood and the bodies of dead knights.

Belphegor walked towards the boy who had a mixture of anger and helplessness in his eyes and dragged him by his hair in the direction of Aki's lifeless body.

Then with the boy's hand he held the sword and pulled it out of Aki's body, the boy was still conscious but he knew that any resistance was useless, so he simply bit his lip in fury.

The reason why he used the boy was because the demon sword has a curse that binds the owner to the sword, so no one besides the bearer can manipulate the sword, therefore even a demon like Belphegor could not remove the sword without hurting himself.

Belphegor put the sword aside, out of reach of the child, but even if he tried to take it it would be useless, then the demon stared at her sadly while he combed the hair that covered her face, and after a few seconds he laid her down on the ground.

—This is the last request that your beloved made to me before allowing me to inhabit his body, I am sorry I could not do anything before, but I hope you can rest in peace, and that someday you will meet in another life, —said Belphegor to Aki's lifeless body with an expression of sadness.

Then Belphegor took the sword from the blade, and although it was draining his energy, he seemed not to feel it too much.

—W- wait if you do that I will die please, I'm just a child, I was wrong, please forgive me, —said the boy in desperation as he realized what Belphegor would do as he crawled to his feet.

The boy was gibbering constantly, begging for mercy, full of tears, hiding the murderous intentions he still had against the demon, it was a completely disgusting and pathetic sight, at that moment his pride as a knight and as a human being disappeared forever.

Ignoring the boy, the demon continued to squeeze the blade, until a crack appeared on it, and at the same time a crack appeared on the boy's face.

—Listen to me, we can free the girl's soul in another way, no, I will definitely find a way, it is not necessary to kill me, I beg you, —said the boy with tears in his eyes while climbing in desperation Gin's pants.

Every word the boy said was an obvious lie, uncovered by his intentions, and his eyes beyond showing regret, showed the disgust he had for the demon in front of him, and for this very reason the boy would meet his end in a matter of seconds.

The sword was cracking more and more, as was the boy's face, and while ignoring the boy's incessant pleas, the sword was destroyed.

At that moment, the hilt was also destroyed, the child who was begging for mercy until the end was transformed into spirit particles, which were consumed in fire due to the curse, and as for the souls inside the sword, they soared freely through the sky after revolving around Belphegor, as a sign of thanks.

These souls will naturally disappear with time, and would ascend to the afterlife to be reincarnated later.

One of the released spirits stood in front of Belphegor as if bidding farewell with a thank you and then ascended with the others.

—I kept my word my new friend, now I will return your body to you, you will be unconscious for a couple of days but I guess you will be fine since she is close by, I will explain everything another time —Belphegor said to himself as if he was leaving a message.

After leaving those words in the air, Belphegor smiled, and then Gin's body fell unconscious on the floor.

The events of that day marked the beginning of the long journey that the Diyu village demon would travel.
