A Forbidden Existence

" I think you should choose either a fallen angel or Demon Spawn." The statue of the Demon God spoke.

' Having wings on my back is weird? Even though it's one of the strongest races, I don't think I should choose this.' Jin thought.

He had no desire of becoming the strongest, one could build a kingdom without being the strongest person in the world. Becoming a Demon Spawn would mean having a human body, to be honest, he liked himself as a human and had a hard time imagining any other body part.

[ You don't need to hold such prejudice, the Fallen angel is the best race.]

" I need to live among humans for some time and that is why I'd need to look just like humans," Jin spoke.

" Then, do you want to become a demon spawn?"

" Yes, that would be suitable for now."

After that, the Demon God instructed him to stand in the middle of the circle which lit up and a remarkable pattern appeared on the shiny ground.

Jin could feel his head spinning and his body getting heated. It wasn't normal, his skin became red and smoke started to come out of his body. His bones were crushing and his muscle tissues shrank as they tried to grab hold of the bones.

He felt like someone is torturing him, something that he didn't expect. He never thought that he would have to go through such pain, unable to endure it he had fallen unconscious.

While unconscious, white light comes out of her body and then takes the shape of a humanoid figure that just looked like a human. Floating just above his body was his soul which starts to absorb all the energy around him. the ruins of the magic circle started to swirl around the humanoid figure.

It was Jin's soul that was floating over his body, slowly it starts getting corrupted by the demonic energy in the surrounding. Slowly the white soul started to change into a dark purple color.

At the same time when his soul was changing, his body was also going under some sort of transformation. His black hair turned grey and his eyes turned the same color as the soul, his skin became paler but brighter.

The red blood that was flowing out of his body turned black and after some time once again become red. The glow on his face returned and his hair and eyes returned to their natural black color.

After a while, he showed signs of movement as his fingers twitched and slowly he opened his eyes. In front of him was a system window, his eyes scanned what was written over the system window.

[ Congratulations, You have successfully been turned into a Demon Spawn.]

[ Do you want me to show your status window?]

' Status window?'

[ It's a special feature, that is available after you successfully become an apostle or after you are baptized.] Abaddon explained.

' Yes,' Jin answered.

Suddenly more than a hundred crystals were floating in front of him when he looked at them closely there were several marks engraved over them.

Even though they didn't look sharp, Jin still found himself hesitating about eating them.

" These skills are all E rank but don't worry, they will evolve according to the rank of the user." The Demon God explained.

Jin grabbed one of the shards floating in front of him and as soon as he did a window popped up in front of him.

[ Seductive Charm: A skill that allows the user to seduce beings even a rank above them.]

' This is not for me, I guess.'

[ Yes, it's not. Although it would have been a good choice if you were a female.]

Jin then grabbed another stone and the same thing happened again.

[ Telekinesis: A skill that allows you to move anything however you wish.]

' It's useful.'

[ Useless for beginners.]

' Is that so?'

[ Yes, as an E rank you will not even be able to move a small rock.] Abaddon spoke, Jin agreed with him, and then picked up another shard.

After that Jin analyzed every skill one by one and after hours of thinking and discussion with Abaddon, he finally selected the three skills that he wanted.

[ Spiritual awareness- A skill that allows the user to sense and be aware of anything within a range.]

" Are you sure I should choose both Phantom or Spiritual Awareness? I want an attack skill as well."

After saying that Jin, started to consume the shards. It felt like swallowing the rock but every time he did a notification would pop out in front of him.
