Chapter 47 : Are you a samurai.

The day was slowly getting brighter. The sun dispelled the darkness and everything in the world was covered by the gentle sunlight. But for Haruto, a demon being bathed in the sun, he felt a little uncomfortable. There is a feeling of weakness all over the body. He really want to just sleep the day away.

"Brother, get up."

There was a slight tap on the shoulder. It was Giyu calling him. Haruto opened his golden eyes, looked at the smiling Giyu, and smiled slightly: "Good morning, Giyu."

"Good morning brother, the caravan is already on its way, let's go together."

Giyu smiled. He knew that Haruto was going to pass by his house on his way since he invited him to his house.

"Thanks for waking me up Giyu. You should quick pack up your things."

After sending Giyu to pack, Haruto looked at the girl beside him. She was sleeping with a peaceful look on her face. Kanao was sleeping quite relaxed without much guard. After staying with him for so long, gradually Kanao also began to follow his habit and began to like to sleep during the day. Haruto couldn't bear to disturb her sleep. He leaned over slightly and hugged Kanao in his arms.

Giyu turned his head, looking at the scene with some curiosity and asked in a curious voice: "Aren't you going to wake her up? You know, it will be very tiring to hold someone like this all the time."

"No. It's fine. She usually sleeps during travels like this."

Haruto smiled.

"Can you carry her all the way?"

Giyu was a little worried. In this way, if he kept walking with a girl in his arms. He could walk for a while but if he had to walk for a long time, he might not be able to persist.

"No problem."

Haruto replied with a smile. He is a demon with unmatched physical strength, so naturally there is no need to worry about the little weight of Kanao.

"Brother is really nice to your fiancée."

Giyu couldn't help but express his thought. Haruto just smiled then he lowered his head, looking at Kanao who was sleeping soundly, with a gentle look in his eyes. Even after getting carried she didn't woke up, showing her trust in Haruto. In the starting Kanao used to to force herself to stay awake all the time and keep an eye on Haruto, as if afraid he will abandon her. Although her parents abused her, Kanao still didn't run away since she was afraid of being alone and seeing her own parents trying to sell her, should have made a quite big of a trauma for her.

Kanao really deserved a lot of happiness in her life. Worth being surrounded by all the tenderness in the world. Her childhood was too sad, no one should go through what she did. If it was any other kid or Haruto himself in her place, he doesn't think they would have lasted as much as Kanao. He only hoped that his gentleness could slowly restore the girl to the curiosity and innocence that a girl her age should have.

Well it's worth noting that Kanao had slowly started to express her opinion even if by body movement like before in their travel. It was still a huge plus in Haruto's book.

Without any emotions in her eyes and just following others demands without any thoughts of her own like a marionette. That is not how Kanao should be and he will make sure of that.

The caravan was soon on its way. Giyu also followed and this time, the leader of the merchant's guard did not ask him to help. Just asked him to follow the caravan.

"It's really strange that Master Yasuda suddenly stopped letting me work."

Giyu muttered before he would always help out in anything he could and the guard commander would also ask him id needed. But today, his attitude was a little different, which made him a little uncomfortable.

"Maybe he's letting you easy since you have a guest."

Haruto looked at the guard leader in front of the team and said with a smile but he had to agree, this guard leader is really a person who can read the situation around him and he's experienced and good for being a traveling  businessman guard.

Hearing Haruto's words, Giyu was also very happy. He hoped that he could get more wages this time, so that he could buy more things for his sister and make his sister's wedding day more decent, so as not to be looked down upon by others.

"Let's go."

Haruto turned his head and shouted to Giyu, who was still smiling to himself. Giyu also came to his senses and hurriedly followed and his eyes fell on Haruto involuntarily.

He was quite mysterious. Traveling alone that too with a girl and he had walked so long with the sleeping girl in his arms and still didn't seem to show any signs of being tired.

"Brother, you must be a very powerful samurai, right?"

Giyu couldn't help but ask.
