Feast and Growth

Yu Sheng's eyes had already turned from their usual blue colour into a dark shade of black, his grey hair was now fully white.

Hunger… This is what the man mentioned… After seven months of loneliness, Yu Sheng did not feel pain anymore, it was simply his insatiable appetite. The thing he was craving was even more disturbing.

Human flesh…

Cavastine, Whitesea Building.

"Boss, you are leaving again?" Wilfox's assistant was upset as he asked.

"Yes. I have some business to take care of…" Wilfox cracked his knuckles as he replied. "Bring me the thing I told you to prepare, I need it now."

"Hahahhhahahahahahaha" Yu Sheng began laughing for no reason at all, his sanity was completely gone. His eyes were a deep black like a unfathomable abyss, his nails were red and carried the scent of blood and his hair was a pale white like the moon, a sign of his endurance and resilience through this mental and physical torture.

He had lost count of the days, months or years, but what did it matter now?

At that moment, Wilfox finally returned, wearing surgical gloves.

"It has been a while, hasn't it? Many things have been going on outside, but why would I tell you that? You will die here anyway." Wilfox mocked.

Yu Sheng stayed silent, keeping his head low as it was covered by his overgrown, unkempt white hair.

"Oh, you are silent, huh? Well, you won't be when I'm done with you, hahaha." Wilfox picked up a large container from the desk and inspected it, nodding his head when he confirmed the contents of it.

He came close to Yu Sheng and opened the container, releasing close to a thousand insects onto Yu Sheng, centipedes, millipedes, maggots, the variety was huge.

Yu Sheng was unmoved as many entered his mouth and other holes in his body.

At that moment, Wilfox pressed a button, electrocuting most of the insects inside Yu Sheng's body, causing him to shake violently.

He didn't let out a sound, in fact, he lightly smiled.

Wilfox was annoyed at this and he was about to hit Yu Sheng with his fists before he finally spoke:

"I have been here for an indefinite period of time, completely alone, without any help or any cling to sanity at all. This world is messed up, but what is even more messed up is the people in it, myself included. If you send me to Hell, I'll drag you with me myself."

"You bastard!" Wilfox gritted his teeth and released his aura, at the same time his left arm mutated into something grotesque, thick and black.

Yu Sheng stared at it with a neutral face, his eyes saying "Come on then."

Wilfox was already past the point of anger, he was absolutely furious now.

His mutated arm, the product of many human cells combing and evolving inside his body after he consumed them, bulged as he charged at the tied-up Yu Sheng.

An Advanced Martial Master against a Basic Mechanic in close combat? The outcome was already decided.

Certain death.

However, at that moment, a blinding light suddenly burst forth from Yu Sheng's body, destroying the chair and setting him free.

He cracked his knuckles and chuckled.

"H-How?" Wilfox felt an indescribable feeling of fear, but this was a simple Basic Mechanic while he was the boss of Whitesea's Cavastine branch, an Advanced Martial Master - why would he feel so scared?

"If I am free like the wind, what shackles can hold me?"

What kind of bullshit answer is that? Wilfox reformed himself and charged once again at Yu Sheng.

Yu Sheng cracked his knuckles again as he dodged the attack with ease. He threw a punch at the incredulous Wilfox before ducking for his next attack and throwing a backflip kick from an awkward position.

After he landed, he equipped a pistol and shot at the area where Wilfox's human shoulder met his mutant arm multiple times, eventually the arm fell off as a new one grew.

"My nails were pulled out seven hundred times, my hair was plucked out four hundred times, one hundred and sixty bugs were placed on me, and you beat me up using your fists two hundred and seventy times." Yu Sheng recounted, cracking his knuckles once more.

Wilfox laughed and dashed at Yu Sheng once again, this time Yu Sheng met his attack head on and somehow picked him up and launched him at the wall, forming a large hole.

He then kicked off of the ground and charged at Wilfox but that wasn't before he picked the mutant arm off the ground and consumed it, satiating his hunger for now.

When he reached Wilfox, he kicked his face with his left leg and kicked his ballsack with his right, causing intense pain and disarming him for a few seconds.

He picked him up again and threw him back into the room.

Wilfox's legs were broken, he was stuck on the floor and with nothing else to do, he could only lie there and await his death.

"You put me through constant pain for months on end. You told me the secrets of Transcendents and the dark side of life. For this, I have to thank you. You made my life Hell, but I became the Devil."

With this parting sentiment, Yu Sheng began feasting.

White smoke drifted up from the body and charged into Yu Sheng's nostrils, resulting in an explosion of aroma that intoxicated Yu Sheng, making him salivate uncontrollably.

To him, who had been deprived of food for over a year, Wilfox's body was like a meal from your mother after not eating her food for over twenty years.

It looked like a delicate piece of meat, blood and bones, due to the mutated cells, Wilfox's body was hot and steamy, his meat fell of his bones as Yu Sheng licked his lips and took the first bite.

An explosion of flavours overwhelmed Yu Sheng's tastebuds, the flavour of juicy, succulent meat took over his senses and charged to the forefront of his mind.

It was pure ecstasy.

Furthermore, not only did it taste amazing, it also had amazing effects.

The interface returned, but Yu Sheng did not even notice.

He continued eating until there was nothing left and then glanced up, noticing the interface.

He wiped the blood from around his mouth and chuckled.

Now you come back, after I don't need you anymore? Haha, at least you will be able to help me with my plans.

After reading all of the messages, Yu Sheng sat down and meditated, the only thing he had done in this room.

[<Meditation> increases your Mana Stat by 20. Rewarding 200,000 EXP.]

Hm, how much EXP do I have at the moment? Yu Sheng opened up Character Information and checked his character.

6.34 million EXP, level 39, Experienced Grade, 207 Strength, still 60 Agility, 800 Endurance, 500 Wisdom, 15 Fortune and 6 Influence.

More importantly are all of these new Talents and most importantly is the new Class I have created myself, Mana Mechanic and the new Stat I have created, Mana, which is at 100 right now.

Overcoming the limitations of the Class while also amplifying the core effect of it, this is the idea behind the Mana Mechanic Class, which at the moment, is at the Experienced Grade.

Still, as a Level 39, I am far too weak.

I will use all of this EXP to level my Character up to level 50, meaning I now have 500 free stat points. I will allocate all of these into Mana, raising it to 600.

I Advanced without completing the Advancement Quest, this achievement gave me 3 million EXP. The rest was accumulated through Meditation.

Furthermore, Wilfox's cells are mutating inside my body, if I can influence them with Mana, I will be able to increase my combat strength and techniques since he was a Martial Master.

Wilfox was still way stronger than me, he was simply not in control of his body due to the mutation.

Once I removed it, he was weakened to a degree too high to come back from, I was only able to kill him due to sheer fortune.

Now, it is time to implement my plan, which begins here in North Blackshine.
