Chapter 1- Village

Dian was a simple village of farmers. Each member of the village was happy with what they had.

George was one of these farmers. He was a child of two adventurers who choose to settle here after they got married. As the son of adventurers, each member of the village was expecting that he would become new guard of the village. This way replacing his father who got the job after moving to the village.

But this was not it. Instead of guard, George chose to become farmer. Greatly surprising everyone.

Yet the little uneasy atmosphere was immediately dissolved by his skills. George was exceptional farmer, like no other. After reaching adulthood he was the tallest, strongest and , as some girls of village said, most handsome member of village. Simply said he was model for everyone to look up to.

One day, when George was tilling field he found little basket with satchel in it floating, on small diver that passed through field.

When he took that basket out of water and uncovered the satchel he found small baby.

It was not normal baby, as it was mixture between elf and human.

Everyone knew that elves didn't discriminate against halfblods like these, but humans did. Even a remark of human halfblod could led to imprisonment in the city.

Yet George chose to adopt this little girl as his own.

And chose to name her Maria.

Just after few years Maria was known all around the village. She helped where she could, but mostly helped her father at the field. Thanks to Marias elf blood she was greatly adept at magic. Something that was distant to the village. As adventurer mages wouldn't help villagers without large bill for services following. Soon enough she was renowned village healer. Whenever someone got hurt during work they would come to Maria to heal them using magic and her heartwarming smile.

Thus they all lived peaceful lives in the village until one day.
