11. Plan Exposed

It has been 5 days since I came here, so that means it has been 12 hours on the real world.

I think Lucia and Livia will be worried right now as I didn't return last night, but I can't let this chance to gain more rewards slip away.

But this kind of chance is much rarer that finding summon pool in the wild.

Alright, I decide to stay, I cannot waste this kind of opportunity.

I will apologize to Lucia and Livia later but for now I will need to put all my focus on completing this inheritance trial.

4. D-rank Giant Blood Bat Summon Pool (No objective completed)

I really want to check the quest but right now I'm in front of Valakh so I can't lose my focus talking with the system any more than this.

"You have exceeded my expectation, Blood Duke! For your great achievement, I will grant you the S-ranked Dreadnought Armor. I also appoint you as the high commander for the second and third camp. I will handle the fourth and the fifth camp myself. I look forward for the good news, Blood Duke. You may go now."(Valakh)

"Yes, my lord! I won't disappoint you."(Vestia)

I need to face two demon lords now. With me being appointed as the high commander of two camps, that means I will have 2 S-rank monsters as my subordinate.

All the five camp were led by an unnamed S-rank monster after all.

Together with 6 guardians under my command, it brought the S-rank monster under me to 8.

I leave immediately after that and brought the two girls waiting outside with me to the second camp.

There, I met the former leader of the camp.

He was the same as me or the character I'm controlled right now, a Blood Duke.

When I came there, he immediately gave the command to me.

The third camp former leader which is a Blood Duchess also came here to meet me and gave the command for the third camp to me.

Together with my troops from the first camp, in total I have more than 300.000 monster under the C-rank in my camp.

There also more than 3000 C-rank, 300 B-rank, and 30 A-rank monsters.

I asked for all the reports regarding about the battle in the past two days.

The enemy that I will face this time are the [Steel] demon lord Zatril and the [Spear] demon lord, Guram.

Most of Zatril troops have high endurance while for Guram troops are mostly humanoid who can wield spears with high dexterity.

From the report, there was only 3 small battles in the past two days. The attack was much more harsher on the first and fifth camp.

The former leaders thought that the enemy are still trying to gauge our strength with those small battles but I know the exact reason behind it.

Those five demon lord planned to put all of their attack into one camp to give a surprise attack.

Garock role here was actually a decoy or a bait where he will lead his full army to attack the first camp to focus our attention there, while they will move their troops to the fourth camp.

For the other demon lord except for Garock and the one at the fourth camp, they need to send at least 70% of their troops and half of their guardians to the fourth camp.

They planned to attack at dawn on the fourth day and today is counted as the third day since the war started.

They still sent a little bit of their troops to battle against the other camp to make us think that they are conserving their troops for the big battle while right now they were just checking our force.

Because of that, my current enemy doesn't have that much troops around them and I can't implement the same tactic to defeat them like I did to Garock as they will choose to turtle up inside their dungeon.

If their plan worked before, Valakh would have already sent the troops from the other camp to my camp as reinforcement against Garock.

Well, what a shame that their planned failed miserably and they still don't know about it.

I really want to see how they will react when they found out that their plan were actually already found out and were used to deal with them.

Now, I need to think about how to defeat the two enemies in front of me right now.

This time, I need to be on the offensive side as the enemy will try to defense their dungeon because of their lack of troops.

As for the fourth camp fate?

I already reported this to Valakh so their plan will bound to fail.

And now that they still doesn't know about Garock loses, I have to use this chance where they still unprepared to attack them.

I will attack their dungeon on the fourth day, when their focus was put at the fourth camp.

They won't expect to be attacked at the same day they will attack us.

I will try to defeat them as soon as I can and then lead my troops to join the battle at the fourth camp from behind the enemy.

It will create a pincer attack that will cut off their retreat path and made them trapped in between both sides.

Yeah, I think that plan will work, I need to propose this plan to Valakh.

I wrote that plan on a piece of paper and ordered one of my subordinate to deliver it to Valakh.

Not long after that, I got his reply and he agreed to my plan.

He even send all of his guardians to me so I can take down the enemy faster.

In his reply letter, he told me that he will hold the enemy but he can only do it only for a few hours so I need to finish both of the enemy on my side with haste.

I don't plan to gather all my troops in one camp right away as that will give away our plan if there were any enemy scouts around here.

I will only gather them at dawn tomorrow.

I also put up a small group to block any path of communication between Guram and Zatril dungeon.

I don't know whether they have some kind of tool to communicate with each other or not but there's nothing wrong for being to careful right.

Now I only need to wait for sun rise before I gather all of my troops that still scattered in the three camps.

As I don't have anything left to do, I checked my new armor stats.

Dreadnought Armor (S-rank)

- Reduce the amount of damage received by 50%

- Increase the wearer defense by 30%

- There a 30% chance to activate the armor skill 'Dread Slash' that can ignore 50% of the enemy defense and cause 200% attack damage for every 5 consecutive attack.

With this armor, I don't have to worry about my defense anymore and focus on the offense.

Well, I will enjoy my night for now with my two new subordinates.

-Day 4 - Dawn-

Valakh has already sent me the signal to start my attack which mean that their side has already started their attack.

I have gathered all of my troops and currently we were marching to our first target, the [Spear] demon lord, Guram.

I choose him first because, most of the [Steel] demon lord Zatril troops has a high endurance so it will take more time to take him down than Guram.

The longer it takes, the higher the chance for our plan to get expose so I will attack Guram first.

It didn't take long time for us to reach Guram dungeon.

With most of his troops missing, his current defense was at the lowest and I can see it from how easily my troops breached his first few floors.

I put the F-rank monsters at the very front and let the run as fast as they can to scout and activate all the hidden traps in this dungeon.

And what I can say about this dungeon was it was built with the mind to kill all the invader.

All of the existing traps in this dungeon mostly were the types that used blades, spears, arrows, and other weapons as well.

For an example, there was a trap that made the wall changed to spikes and the walls then moved to pinch the invader inside.

There also some traps with hanged giant blade that swings side to side.

Another trap with the function that can changed the surface into spikes and shoot out spears from the ground.

There's no traps such as pitfall, poison, labyrinth, or others.

Maybe it has some correlation with his [Spear] power, but it only just a guess right now.

Anyway, it only took an hour for my troops to reached the second last room of the last floor.

It was a very wide room, without any special traps or something like that.

Maybe it was build to be and area for last defense as this kind of wide and large area can fit a lot of troops within.

I followed my troops from behind, along with all the guardians and the 2 S-rank monsters.

When we entered the room, I can see the demon lord Guram himself fighting against my troops along with his five guardians.

Without waiting any longer, I ordered all of the S-rank monsters by my side to gang up on them.

12 S-rank which consist of 10 guardians and 2 unnamed S-rank monsters against 5 guardians that only consist of 4 A-rank and 1 S-rank monster.

I think I don't need to guess which side will win this fight as it already obvious my side will be the one who will win.

As for me, I immediately charge to face Guram with a blood sword on both of my hands.

I was a newly born demon lord so I shouldn't have been able to wield a sword as I have never learned how to use it before, but now I'm fighting Guram while dual wielding blood swords.

This swordsmanship was actually the original ability of the blood duke that I took control of so when I return to the real world, I won't be able to do the same thing like what I'm doing right now.

But I think I can learned this sword style when I'm back to the real world, after all I have read the knowledge of this sword style from the blood duke own memories.

Maybe I can't access any memories about the people or the situation of this blood duke but fortunately I can still access his memories about sword techniques and styles.

And that made me realize that the rewards was not the only thing I can gain from this inheritance, but I can also gain this sword technique and styles which are a major boon to my offense in the real world.

As for how fast I can relearned all of this stuff, I will leave it to my future self as currently I am busy fighting with Guram.

Guram was very skillful with his spears.

If it was Garock from before, I can defeat him very easily with ease, but against Guram, I need to put all of my concentration in this fight.

We keep taking turn of attacking and defending each other attacks.

I was still probing his skills so I haven't made any 5 consecutive attack yet as it may triggered the 'Dread Slash' skill.

I want to keep it as a trump card against him now.

While we were fighting, Guram opened his mouth and let out his voice to me.

"How did you found out about our plan?"(Guram)

He asked while thrusting his spear towards me.

"Well, I have my own ways for that and you don't need to know as you will depart to the death realm after this."(Vestia)

I answered back while stepping aside to avoid Guram attack and made a counter attack myself by slashing his spear down, trying to make him drop his spear.

"I won't be defeated that easily!"(Guram)
