NEW COMPANION

As Jack approached the rock, he couldn't help but widen his Eyes seeing the creature in front of him...

Behind the rock, there was a small wolf just like the one that Jack had Killed a while ago...

"What is this thing doing here..."

Jack spoke with a frown on his face...

'It seems that the wolf you slayed master was her mother and she was trying to protect her Pup...'

Hearing her a sad feeling came upon Jack's heart as he realized the consequences of his actions...

'Master you don't have to be sad, if you hadn't killed that wolf, then she would have killed you...'

"Even so, now how is this pup going to survive on his own, I took away his mother, do you think he would be able to survive without her..."

As Jack asked his question, Dawn turned silent Even she knew that a weak pup like that wasn't going to survive for much longer in this world, where the strongest rule upon the weakest.

As Jack heard her, he started to consider the possibility of taking the pup with him.

"But do you think that, it will come with me, I mean I killed her mother, I don't think anyone would want to go with someone, who had killed their mother..."

Jack spoke as he saw a sad face while looking towards the pup who was still sleeping peacefully...

Dawn spoke with a proud tone and hearing her Jack narrowed his eyes.

"You know familiar spell but I thought you didn't recall anything after you woke up."

Dawn spoke in an unsure tone and sensing her emotions Jack just shook his head and decided to believe in her.

Jack spoke and suddenly he could feel a happy emotion coming from his bond.

'Yes master, I won't let you down...'

Dawn said her happiness could be felt in her voice.

'Then master let's draw a magic circle first..'

Dawn spoke and Jack nodded his head...

Jack took a stone and started to draw a magic circle on the ground as per Dawn's instructions.

As Jack completed his Magic circle, he nodded his head and appreciated his work...

'Now master took the pup and put it between the circle...'

Dawn spoke as Jack nodded his head grabbed the pup and lifted it in his hand...

The pup was very similar in features to his mother, though it was very small less harmful, and very light...

"Why is it not walking up, Even though, I am touching him and moving him..."

Jack asked Dawn in a concerned voice...

'I don't know master, but I can say that it is still Alive, I can feel its magic, Even though it is very weak it is still there inside him, his core...'

'Now master channel your Mana into the circle, remember to master the more pure mana you channel the better and stronger the bond between you both would be formed...'

Jack nodded his head as he touched the magic circle and started to channel pure mana inside it.

As Jack channels pure mana inside the circle, it starts to glow in a crimson-red color...

'Now master chant the spell, I told you a while ago...'

Dawn spoke and Jack nodded his head...

Jack chanted and the circle glowed much brighter and with it, Jack's Eyes also started to shine.

'Now master put a drop of blood on the Circle...'

Dawn spoke and Jack nodded, he took out Dawn cut his finger a little, and dropped two drops of blood on the Circle...

'Aa.. it Stings...'

The circle glowed much brighter and then vanished suddenly...

'Huhh....'

Jack felt something on his hand as he looked towards it he saw a red color mark appearing on the back of his hand...

'This mark is a proof of your new companion, master...'

Dawn said with a respectful tone and Jack nodded his head...

Jack took some time to think, about what would he call his new companion...

"Aaa... How about PUMA? Yeah, that's a good name what do you think Dawn..."

'That name certainly sounds good master....'

Dawn spoke and Jack nodded his head.

"So from now on his name will be PUMA..."

"So what should we do..."

Jack asked Dawn with a worried look on his face...

'I can't do anything, master, I think we should take him with us to the castle probably we can get someone's help there...'

Dawn answered and Jack nodded his head and picked up Puma in his hand, but as he was leaving his Eyes fell on his dead mother and a sad look came upon Jack's face but he shook his head and calmed his emotions.

"Let's give a funeral to her before we leave..."

Jack spoke as he walked towards her mother's dead body and buried it properly giving his proper respect to her...

"Let's leave now..."

'Yes, master...'

After which Jack left the dungeon towards the castle with Puma in his hand.
