Sudden Change

5 days later after the battle the millennium old evil goblin, John has been able to execute the Windblade skillfully and recently able to breakthrough to 3rd Rank Novice Realm consuming almost all spirit crystals that he obtained.

"It's been 5 days now since Faere since last appeared I wonder what happened? Is she really an advance A.I or a real human who has the ability to phase through things?" John asked himself as he has been starting to doubt the true identity of Faere.

"Well, It's not like I can do anything about it, she'll probably show up sooner or later" John said as he put it on the back of his mind.

"Now then…" John got up from his bed and went to wash himself before going downstairs.

"Goodmorning!" John smiled as he greeted the family and sat down at the vacant seat.

"Goodmorning Son" his mother smiled.

"Morning" his brother said as he continued eating his breakfast.

"Morning Big Bro!" Michelle said enthusiastically.

John smiled as the family started happily eating their breakfast while discussing about things that happened to them yesterday.

"Right, Michelle how's those kids doing, are they still bothering you guys?" John asked his sister as he remembered those kids he taught lesson before.

"Uhmm? Nope, they have been obedient and I think scared towards us?" Michelle said as she tilted her with her face with confusion.

"Something like that happened?" John's big brother asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Uhmm"

Michelle obediently told them what happened and when they heard about it John and Michelle both got reprimanded by their mother especially John who did something reckless like 'teaching' the kids a lesson but John made a point by saying "Then should I just let them hit me then?" after John said those a hand came flying towards him as he got smacked in the head by his brother.

"Haha, sorry" John smiled weakly as he scratched his head.

"Son, don't do anything reckless, alright? You're not a kid anymore" his mother smiled at him as she ruffled his head.

"Mom..stop it, I'm not a kid anymore like you said"

"In my eyes, you three are still kids" she smiled lovingly at them.

His brother almost spurted the food in his mouth when he heard what his mother said which startled them before all of them laugh heartily.

After eating their breakfast, all of them went to do their own things, Michelle helped her mother wash the dishes and cleaning around the house, John's brother went to his shop and take care of the things around there while John with nothing to do picked up his wooden sword and headed towards their backyard and started practicing his sword like the basic movements of Kendo which he started researching after his fight with the goblin.

"Hah! Hah! Hah!"

John performed a downward strike over and over again without even breaking a sweat. In a spectators view, all they would see was the mirages of the sword from how fast John is swing his sword.

"Hmm, I think I became faster at doing a downward strike before it was one second or more and now it became less than a second".

This time John bent his body forwards and like the stance of a samurai drawing his sword from its sheath.

John imagined inside his head that an enemy his rushing to attack him, his face was so serious that his aura started changing like a predator waiting to strike down his prey.

The imaginary enemy rushed at John with sword raised and then when it reached a one meter distance between them, John's eyes flash as he performed a one hand quick draw. It was so fast that someone would be astounded by it, it was even faster than those samurai masters and it wouldn't be surprising if it was recorded as a Guinness Record, the fastest sword draw.

But the most crazy thing is...John didn't just performed a single sword strike but three sword strikes within a single second decapitating his imaginary enemy in three!

"This sword drawing arts from those MC's at the novels is so neat! Even though it was just a fast sword strike without so much flowery behind it. I can already regard this as a killing move! From now on I will call this skill Illusion Sword because normal people would only see that I only made a single strike but the truth was there's actually more!"

"And if I can deal more strikes within a second, my Illusion Would become even more overpowered and that was only a normal attack! It would be even more scary if I add the Windblade in it!" John exclaimed in his thoughts and showed off again but this time his Bokken glowed in azure green that can't be seen by ordinary eyes!

"Hya!"

Three blades of wind came out simultaneously from the sword as it struck a tree nearby at the other side of the street opposite from their backyard, leaving deep sword marks that almost cut down the tree!

"Opps!"

John immediately run back inside afraid that he would be scolded by the authorities when he saw the tree on the verge of falling down and just as he stepped inside he heard a rumbling sound behind him along with a scream of a woman then multiple car alarms.

"What happened!?" his mother came running towards him frantic along with his sister who passed by him eager to see what happened.

"I think the tree from Mr. Kelly just fell down" John made an excuse before running back upstairs towards his room.

"Mom! The tree at Mr. Kelly just fell down and it almost his car" Michelle yelled at her mother and behind her could be heard the angry of voice of their neighbor, Mr. Kelly.

His mother also driven by curiosity also went towards the scene and what she saw was Mr. Kelly's SUV full of scratches and it front was hit by one of the trees branches leaving a huge dent on it.

"Gahh! Dammit all! What bad luck! Dammit! Repairs for this would be huge! Damn you tree!" Mr. Kelly was yelling as he kept kicking the tree out of anger but because of his anger he wasn't able to noticed just how clean the tree was cut down. Some people was able to noticed it but they were even more confused now as they know that kind of cut would only be possible using a large machine for cutting down trees.

Their neighbors crowded towards the scene whispering among themselves but almost all of them are laughing at Mr. Kelly's bad luck, after all his neighbors especially don't like him because of how arrogant and braggart he is.

"Heh, I would have felt guilty if it was someone else but not anymore! ~" John said as he laughed at his doing.

John then walked towards his bed but then stopped in his tracks, he looked his left side and saw his full reflection on the mirror and he then stood in front of it and smiled at himself. The man in the mirror has an undercut hair parted on the left side, he has black eyes and his head has the same shape like Chris Hemsworth and suddenly he took off his shirt and said "Wow, a lot has really change huh? Look at that chest and that six packs, I didn't have these from before I was just...a little bit muscular and now I look like a model".

John then smiled bitterly at himself as he remembered how pitiful he was back then. He had a high aspiration for himself back then but everything suddenly went haywire when he stopped studying for his degree because he didn't like it back then it wasn't what he wanted but his family and he's dreams of becoming a successful man of owning his dream house, buying his dream and marrying his dream girl got further and further away from his grasp. It was like he was hit with so much bad luck that it wouldn't wear off from his body like an annoying gum stuck on your hair.

"Heh, my life really has change for the better. I don't even know if this thing is a good thing or not but at least I know that I finally has the chance to change everything and with my previous memories and me becoming an exorcist cultivator, achieving those things I hadn't the chance to getting it would become more easier the only downside is that there's a high chance I could die from my missions one day. This time I will do anything to my hearts content with no regrets!" John said with a blazing spirit as he clenched his fist so hard that it started bleeding.

"But how did I die though? I don't even know how it happened all I can remember was me going back home from my work then….a flash blinding light hit me then...I woke up three years prior before my original timeline"

What John failed to notice was the surging mana around him with the center of it being his phone that greedily suck at it like a bottomless pit then his phone turned static and then black as a series of words appeared on the screen.

"An anomaly appeared...INITIATING EMERGENCY SEQUENCE #1!"

"OVERRIDING THE SYSTEM...INJECTING EMERGENCY UPDATE!"

"EMERGENCY UPDATE COMPLETED! ALL OPERATIONS ARE NORMAL! INITIATING SYSTEM HOST BINDING! BINDING STARTS….." then a golden orb of light slowly came out from his phone and then it hovered in front of him. John glance at it surprised and triggered by his curiosity, he wanted keep a closure look at it but before he could do so "Eh?" was the only word he muttered before the orb of light suddenly struck him at the middle of his forehead as it slowly sank inside his head. John stood still for a few seconds before he tumbled on the floor unconscious.

Then a few minutes later, the following words appeared on his phone "BINDING COMPLETE! EXORCIST APP SUCCESSFULLY INTEGRATED AND DELETED" and another surprising thing happened after that his phone released a massive amount of mana and was absorbed by John and his body unconsciously circulated the raging mana inside him along with the surging increase of his energy enabling him to breakthrough to 1st Rank Apprentice Realm but it didn't stop there as it continued until he reached the 2nd Rank Apprentice Realm before the mana stabilized.

But the surprise didn't end there as a holographic screen suddenly appeared, hovering in front of him.

"Scanning….Scan Complete"

"Exorcist System Fully Operational!"

"Welcome Host, John Zena!"

The holographic screen didn't disappear as it stayed there hovering in the air.
