Demon Hunter! A Fairy Tail Adventure

What would you do if you were given a chance to live again after your death?? Would you take it, and milk it for all its worth? Or would you be content and pass on naturally? This is a story of a young man who got that 'second chance' at life. Join Alex as he try's to make the most out of his second life in the wonderful world of Fairy Tail! Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy tail or any of the characters from the series except my own MC. This is just a fan-fic I'm doing for fun to kill some time. Might have some romance in the story, however there will be no harem and no lemons. So sorry in advance if that's what you're looking for. P.s. I don't own the image or anything related to WOW and will remove it if I am required to do so.

Testing Continued

When he returned back to his cave, he quickly set about making a fire.

He didn't need to cook the meat anymore, but he still needed to get rid the inedible bits and burning was just an efficient way to do that.

Plus, it was pretty relaxing to sit by a camp fire.

Even if he could now cover himself entirely in flames, it doesn't have the same comfortable feeling as a good camp fire.

After a very bland first meal in this world, he wanted more than ever to go to civilization to get some cook wear and spices.

Thinking that should be one of his priorities before he devolved back to a full cave man, he decided he would set out tomorrow morning.

He still had some skills to test, and didn't want to head out without checking everything he could this time.

After sitting back down on his bed, he dove right back into his memories to focus on how his {Stealth} works.

He wasn't surprised that it too required Mana to activate.

It even had a mana over time usage too, but his natural regen was more, so he could stay in {Stealth} forever if he needed too.

Heck, he'd keep it active in his sleep if he didn't need to be conscious to use it.

Like his other "natural" skills, {Stealth} was very simple for him too use.

At lower levels he still had to be careful where he stepped because it only removed the sound from his person.

It removed his presence from the world, but didn't stop him from interacting with it.

If he was not careful and stepped on a branch again, it could still be heard, only now, whomever was near would only hear the sound, they still could not find his presence.

At higher levels of the skill he could heavily dampen the sound from his surroundings as he moved, allowing him to move much faster without worrying about the environment as much.

After he was satisfied with his stealth skill and not being able to use {Rapid Regeneration} because he was uninjured, he moved on to what he thought was gonna be the best skill.

Boy was he ever wrong.

"Aaarrrrggggh!!" Alex yelled out in absolute pain.

The skill literally felt like it was ripping his skin apart as his muscles expanded, his bones strengthened and he grew a pair of horns on his head and wings on his back.

He was in too much pain to tell, but he had also gotten taller.

He usually stood around 6 feet tall, but while transformed he stood at 8 feet, not even including his horns.

By the time his {Metamorphosis} was complete, he was panting heavily from the pain and the shock his body went through.

The drain on his energy and stamina reserves was also no joke!

He could feel an almost unlimited power running through his veins, as well as a strengthened connection to his {Fel-Fire}, but he could also feel his magic leaving him at an alarming rate just being transformed.

Not wanting to pass out from fatigue while transformed, he canceled the skill.

Transforming back wasn't nearly as painful but it still did not feel great.

As he finished changing back, the backlash hit him all at once.

He felt like he was bleeding from all over his body.

"Haha, guess this is what I get for wanting to test {Metamorphosis} and ignoring my skills warnings". He chuckled darkly to himself before blacking out.

When he finally woke back up, the first thing he felt was an all encompassing hunger.

It felt like he would die then and there if he didn't eat something within the next hour.

Luckily for him he still had the charred Venison in his {Inventory}.

Quickly pulling a piece out and devouring it, he didn't even notice the bland flavour.

Only after eating most of what meat he had left did he feel his hunger leave.

He didn't have time to wonder about where all that meat went as he finally realized he wasn't in pain.

Looking over his condition his skin was still flawless, with no signs of ripping or lasting damage.

Thanking his lucky stars for choosing a skill like {Rapid Regeneration} he got up and stretched.

Not finding anything out of place, and only a slight stiffness in his muscles from the awkward position he passed out in, he was happy.

Walking outside and seeing the first signs of the sun peaking up above the horizon, he realized he had been passed out all night.

Feeling somewhat refreshed and with a full belly, he decided it was time to head to a town.

Knowing he had no money in this world and not wanting to waste them, he went back into the cave and stored the furs and sleeping bag.

Worst comes to worst he could always sell them, but he would cross that bridge later.

For now, It was time to set out.

Very short chapter, and probably should have added it to the previous. But whatever, it's done now and I can't be bothered to change it. Enjoy.
