The next 2 days passed in a blur for Alex.

He ended up helping the old man complete his contract, and spent his time training the skills that would be safe to do in town.

He also went shopping for the basics he would need in his little cave home.

He had originally thought of going to Magnolia, but scrapped that idea when he thought about how dangerous his magic was if not properly controlled.

He did want to train his {Fel-Fire} up more, but the real reason was he wanted to learn Partial Transformation with {Metamorphosis}.

He figured the safest way to do that was going to be in solitude.

It wouldn't do to have people screaming DEMON, or being terrified from his own screams if he activates a full transformation.

He had made decent progress on {Stealth}, {Fel-Fire}, {Inventory} and {Mana Manipulation} during his stay in town and the work in the sewers.

And now that the contract was finished and he had his supplies, it was time to head back to his cave.

He made much better time getting back as he had a good Idea of the area he was heading.

It also helped his speed, using just stealth and following his nose back to the cave.

When he got back to the cave he did a quick walk around to see if anything had moved in while he was away.

Not finding anything of note, he set up his bed and started planning how he could make his cave a little more comfortable.

The Dark didn't bother him in the slightest so he didn't care about lights, but he really missed having a shower.

Figuring he should start there, he used {Mana Manipulation} to force the rock wall of his cave into a small separate room about 4'x4' wide and 8' tall.

Once complete he cored a small hole about 2 inches in diameter into the floor, making a makeshift drain that ran underground to outside his cave away from his camp.

He didn't need to worry about trying to install water pipes or anything, just a drain.

He had magic for everything else after all.

Once satisfied with his "shower" stall, he did almost the same thing for a small Water Closet room.

This one near the entrance of his cave and build in a way to keep it from ever smelling up the place.

Once done with the very basics, he went about expanding his cave further into the mountain side, he wanted to make a kitchen and dining room.

He didn't know how much he would use it, but he knew it would come in handy when it rained.

Only after making a 10 foot long hallway and hollowing out a round room about 15' wide was he satisfied.

As he started to plan the layout, a thought crossed his mind that this would be a way better spot for his bedroom.

So going back to the common area, to grab his furs and sleeping bag, he did just that.

Back in the common area, he started making a small counter top with a wash basin.

Putting it on the wall behind his "shower" it was easy to make the drain tie into the drain he made for the shower.

With that done he set about raising an earth table from the floor and a couple of stools.

He didn't plan on having any guests but seemed more natural to have more than 1 seat.

His last addition to the room was a long earth bench in the shape of a sofa and a small coffee table.

He would have to get some spare furs to finish it, but was immensely satisfied with the final product.

'Having magical fridge (inventory) and fire magic too cook with, sure cuts down on the things a kitchen needs' He thought happily, looking over his home.

"I'll add things as I need or can think of them" he said aloud. "Time for some training!"

Walking out of his cave to do said training, he opened up his status.

He wanted to check his progress for the past couple days.

He was still a little annoyed that {Mana Manipulation} leveled up so slowly after lvl:5.

He used it more than all his other skills combined and it still seemed to be lagging behind.

'Oh well, I do notice that basic elements are very simple to use now.

Maybe to raise it's level quickly I have to try and copy other peoples magic'.

Shrugging it off as something outside of his control, he let it go.

On his way back to the cave, he wasn't in a hurry and had plenty of time to try moving in different ways while {Stealth} was active.

He had noticed a rapid increase in its level until it seemed to just stop at lvl:25.

'Must have hit a so called "bottleneck" with the skill, I'll have to meditate on it later' he thought in slight annoyance.

{Fel-Fire} had gone up from his practice in the sewers, Its level continued to rise easily, but he didn't use it much. It was simply overkill for the poor slimes.

{Inventory} also was easy to level, It simply required him to use it.

Upon leaving the cave, he had an errant thought of maybe putting some kind of door on it.

He was already going to do it for his bedroom and the 2 small rooms he made (shower, WC), and figured it couldn't hurt.

Deciding to leave it for a later time and also wanting to play with his transformations, he sat down in front of his home.

While meditating on how his skill worked and how he might be able to do partial transformations, a few hours past.

When he woke up from meditation he had a determined look on his face.

"If I even want a chance of doing this I'm going to need to increase my body strength and Mage Rank. Even a partial take-over will be too draining right now." He said to motivate himself.

With that in mind, he set about to make himself some weights and an obstacle course to train his body.
