Introduce Myself

The next morning Jill was up very early. Unlike the usual day, the girl has been busy preparing her breakfast and is also accompanied by a glass of hot chocolate to accompany her this morning.

She knew very well that if her parents called yesterday and didn't call her suddenly in the morning, it meant that her parents would probably be home early in the morning or in the afternoon.

"Morning, Jill," cried Lucifer, who was now sitting on the bench opposite Jill.

As if ignoring Lucifer, the girl just kept quiet and continued her breakfast quietly.

"Jill," Lucifer whispered as he tried to greet Jill, who was in front of her.

He really didn't understand what was going on in Jill's mind.

"Could you please not ignore me and tell me clearly so I can understand Jill?" asked Lucifer, trying to find out from Jill directly.

Jill closed her eyes for a moment put her cutlery back while taking a deep breath.

She tried to neutralize her mind and tried to be more rational, where she had to position herself as an ordinary human being, while Lucifer was a devil or the like who had an important position in his kingdom.

"You didn't do anything wrong, L. I just forgot about the fact that you're not a human like me," Jill finally said to Lucifer while staring at Lucifer's eyes which had been focused on her.

Lucifer was still staring intently at Jill while trying to read the look on Jill's face, which he thought was in a bad state.

"I'm sorry that I'm not what you imagined, but you can forget for a moment that I am a nephillim, demon or something, you can treat me like a normal human, anyway I'm as much as possible learning to be a human like you," said Lucifer trying as best he could not to hurt Jill.

For some reason, when Lucifer said something like that, Jill's heart warmed a little.

At least for her, Lucifer could be willing to position himself from Jill's point of view.

A smile could be seen on Jill's face. The girl felt calm because her lover really understood her.

It wasn't long before Jill stood up from her chair and went straight to her lover.

"Thank you, L. I thought you didn't want to understand me and thought I was only temporary for you," Jill said as she hugged Lucifer.

Lucifer blinked slowly and just sat up straight in response to Jill's embrace. It took some time for him to reply to Jill's response, where he responded to Jill's actions with a hug back.

'You have to adapt quickly, Lucifer!' Lucifer's monologue tried to remind himself.

After the hug was enough, Jill let go of her embrace and stared at Lucifer closely.

Just a small smile that Jill gave to Lucifer.

Ding dong!

Jill's eyes were perfectly rounded. She was quite surprised by the sound of the bell. It was likely that his parents had come.

"How about this!" shouted Jill, who was quite panicked, while Lucifer, who was near Jill just stared at Jill's confused face.

Without a word, Jill immediately pulled Lucifer's hand to follow in her footsteps.

Until now, Lucifer had only followed Jill's steps which led him to the girl's room.

"Why bring me here, Jill?" asked Lucifer, confused when he was already in the girl's room.

"My parents have come, so you hide here, don't let my parents see you. I don't want them to ask too many questions about you," Jill said to Lucifer.

Lucifer blinked his eyes slowly, with all the confusion Jill did.

Click!

Jill locked the bedroom door.

After making sure Lucifer was in there, then Jill trotted out of the room.

Oh, come on, doesn't Jill remember that Lucifer isn't human like her?

Jill nervously opened the door to her house.

"Mom, Dad! You guys really went home. I thought you were going to work on me this time because you guys are so happy to leave me here alone," Jill said while hugging her parents.

Jill's parents looked happy to be greeted by their daughter, full of joy.

Jill casually invited her parents into the house.

"Are you okay when we're not here?" Jill's father asked his daughter.

The girl gulped her saliva harshly while nodding her head slowly.

As much as possible, she did not show her nervousness to her parents.

"Are you sure?" asked the father, who was a little doubtful of Jill's answer if he saw from his daughter's attitude, which seemed odd to him.

Jill gave her father a low nod.

'Hope you understand.'

Lucifer now seemed silent and soon called Axel to meet him.

Axel couldn't help but come to Jill's room, where Lucifer was there.

"What is it, sir?"

"Can you explain to me why Jill told me to hide here?" asked Lucifer innocently to Axel, who just came out of nowhere.

Inevitably the young man who was actually a fox demon followed the words of Lucifer.

Axel calmly explained, based on his situation, that Jill wanted to hide Lucifer in her room temporarily because she didn't want Jill's parents to misunderstand because she put a man into her house without her parents knowing.

"But she is indeed my destiny. Why not?"

Axel explained as much as possible to Lucifer in his version so that the young man would understand.

Until …

"Then I'll be visiting from the front of the house. I'll introduce myself as Jill's lover. Wouldn't that be better?"

"It's better. It's just—"

Axel considered a few things for a moment, and after that, Axel wrote on a piece of paper he had found in Jill's room and handed it over to Lucifer.

"Why does it have to be like this? I don't understand… is this necessary?" Lucifer asked who did not understand the notes that Axel had given him if he wanted to be desperate to introduce himself as Jill's lover, as he believed that he should have met Jill's parents.

Inevitably Axel re-explained the meaning of the writing he had made.

"Are you really sure I should tell them like that?"

Again, Axel nodded his head to Lucifer.

'It turns out that being a human is not as easy as I imagined. Why can't I directly tell Jill's parents that I am their daughter's destiny.'
