It's just a myth

When I had finally made my campsite in the forest, I immediately went and took a look at the papers and book I stole from the town. A lot of the papers where the same, so these papers are just useless. At least I have some fuel for my fire tonight, I put all the useless papers on a pile.

When I looked through the book that I also stole, I saw a story of a special object that can get rid of every demon, but after seeing the other papers it is probably a myth.

Suddenly Onim spoke: "You're the luckiest guy that I have ever seen. But all these attempts are futile against me. This body will be mine and your soul will be crushed, I'm the one who is in charge around here."

"I will always stop you no matter how strong you get." I replied.

"You're so ignorant, you stupid little boy. I saw that you were scared of me and you still are. You and I both know that I will take over this body."

He knew that I was scared. Can he feel my feelings or can he read my mind? At that moment my whole body began to shake.

"see, you know that I'm to strong for you. You're even shaking from fear." Onim said.

"No I'm not, I'm not scared of you and I will never be scared of you." I replied while trying my best not to cry.

"You're on the verge of tears, but It doesn't matter you can just give up and let me have this body." Onim said with a sinister voice.

"I will never give up! I will defeat you. I will never lose to a monster like you" I said.

"How dare you speak to me like that! I'm a demon, and a strong one. I will make you pay for that!" Onim said.

The next moment I was pinned down to the ground by Onim's magic. He tried to crush me. I used my magic to push his magic away, but then he used more magic and my magic was to weak for that.

It hurted like hell. He was just displaying how much the differences between our powers. If this continues for any longer I might die.

The pushing suddenly stopped.

"Now I will spare you because I don't want to die right now, but you now know our power difference." Onim said

"You're an absolute monster." I replied.

"Do you want to be crushed again?" Onim said

"No I don't." I replied.

"Then never call me a monster again, you little shit." Onim said.

I just stopped replying.

It began to be dark so I made a fire with the papers and book that were useless. I also catched one rabbit earlier today, so I will eat that now. When I was done with eating I went to sleep.

The next morning went on to be peaceful, when I felt the presence of a group coming towards me. I went to hide behind a tree. When the group arrived at my camp they started talking.

"So the people of that town where right. the devil was here." One of the group said.

"You don't know if it was the devil or not, the people of that town only said that they saw a stranger walking into the forest" The second one said.

"I just know that he was here." The first one said.

Thankfully my campfire was out for a few hours, so they would not know for certain if I was still here or not.

"I think he left already, let's try the next town." The second one said.

"Okay let's go, we must do everything to kill that demon." The third one said.

The people left and I came out of my hiding spot behind the tree. They didn't really took a good look around, they probably assumed that I left because of the campfire being off for a few hours. Why are people so dumb. Why did Jane let me stay with her and why didn't these people look more than what they did, but I can't stay here and I have to be more careful when I go to towns. I don't think that I will be so lucky next time.
