The Forgotten One

"Is that Cody Wolfire?"

"Yeah.", I reply.

"Your telling us you know the prince of Tevelia and didn't tell us?", exclaimed Calimesa.

"Also, the guy over there is a guard which makes you a princess.", she says while pointing to Ralph, then me.

"Interesting."

"Interesting?", Cody and I ask.

"Yeah, interesting; when we think about the royal family of Tevelia, we know about Cody but not about their daughter.", McKenna states.

"And if you asked them who the princess is, they'll say Lexa.", I pointed out.

"But your-"

"They forget I exist until they actually see me.", I respond.

"Well damn.", Zeke states.

"It's honestly nothing new.", I state with a shrug.

"How are you so bloody calm?" Calimesa asks, shocked.

"Why shouldn't I be calm? After all, I've dealt with all my life.", I ask then state.

They open and close their mouth but they didn't say a word; turned towards Cody and cross my arms.

"As much as I love seeing you, I hope they did not follow you since I would like to keep this haven unknown to everyone. And why the fuck are you here?"

"Jesus, sis, I'm sorry for coming here, but I needed to find Ralph.", Cody states while raising his hands in surrender.

"Father, couldn't find Ralph so I told him, I would get him since I only trust him to be around me without telling our parents every little thing I do that isn't the way our parents want it to be.", Cody answers while shrugging.

"So, you better get going, then?" I asked.

He nods his head before leaving with Ralph following behind when he stopped and turned.

"One more thing. Our parents are going to introduce Lexa to the kingdom, along with our allies."

"Got it."

"Let me get this straight. Your parents are going to introduce your little sister to the kingdom plus their allies, but they can't remember their first-born daughter.", Zeke growls out.

"That summons it up."

"That sounds terrible.", replied Calimesa and McKenna at the same time.

"It is what it is.", I state before leaving.

As I make my way back to the kingdom, I run into a few maids that aren't to fawn of Lexa. "Sweetie, do you mind helping us set up the lunch table?", asked Mrs. Elfling.

"Sure, as long as I'm going be anywhere near Mavie, Alanis, or Celia and we'll be fine.", I state.

"Your in luck then, also have you told anyone your goal besides a few of us maids and butlers, and your brother?", Mrs. Elfling asks.

"No."

"I won't pester you into telling anyone else about your goal, so off you go, deary.", Mrs. Elfling says.

Smiling, I head towards the kitchen area to help, seeing Mrs. Archer carrying four platters of food, jogging over to her, I take the one-off her head and then the one from her left hand so she could transfer each platter to her other hand without dropping it. Going back in forward helping, suddenly stopping, Mr. Archer sees me and he heads over.

"Is everything okay?"

"My parents are coming.", I state before moving behind the wall in the kitchen.

"I'll make sure they don't come inside."

Nodding my head before keeping myself out of sight but keeping an ear out for anything out of the ordinary.

"Are the tables done?", the queen demands.

"Almost, my queen.", Mr. Archer answers.

"If you don't want your pay to be adducted, then I advance you to hurry it up.", the king growls out.

Bitting my tongue and ball my fists as I keep myself hidden while grinding my teeth together and breathing heavily through my nose.

"Understood sir."

"You better."

"It's quite disgusting to have them in our home, love.", the queen states.

Throwing my head back hard, I feel my pupil changing shape, dashing out the back way of the kitchen and heading towards the practice ground to let out the anger that's building up quickly. Once I reached the area; I felt the skin around my eyes, wrists, and chest form scales as my teeth grow sharper. Wings spring from my back as the tail appears; cracking my neck and licking my lip, I smirk before taking off into the sky. I don't stop until I'm above the kingdom, but hidden behind the clouds so no one could see me. Holding back a roar, I let my anger out on prey that I fly down and kill. Sensing someone close by, I become invisible and jump into the closest tree and wait; not having to wait long, I see a male and a female smirking. Confused, but not wanting to give my position, I listen in.

"Everything is going as planned."

"Yes indeed. Soon, we'll be able to get rid of that disgusting disgrace."

"Yes, soon, indeed.", the male replies.

Wanting to know more, I jump out of the tree and fly above them as I stay quiet as possible; they head towards the kingdom, which is surprising, but keeping my mouth shut; I continue to follow through the main parts of the castle to Lexa's room. Confused even more than before, I land on my feet just as she opens her door.

"You've made it! Is everything in place?", she says, then asks excitedly.

"Yes, princess.", the male says while slightly bowing.

"No need for that Liam.", she says.

"You make sure to not talk about anything near Cody, right?"

"That is correct.", the female answers.

"Wonderful, the last thing we need is a pissed-off dragon that is still in my parents' good grace until like the forgotten one.", she says with a smile.

Having heard enough for now and knowing I'll need to keep an eye out for those people along with my sister, I head back towards the kitchen as I feel everything go back to normal. Making it, with no one seeing it, I head towards my three favorite people.

"Have any of you seen Cody?"

"No, but we saw his guard, Ralph. I believe is his name walked by about two minutes ago. Why?", Mrs. Elfling asks.

"Have some information that I need to clear up, nothing too bad.", I state.

"If you say so.", they all say.

Rolling my eyes at that before towards where she pointed.
