Chapter 3

~Val's P.O.V~

Once Seraphina finally agreed to come, which was easier said than done, we headed towards the underworld along with Gaia. We waited at the gates for Charon as Gaia gives a sigh.

"I'm sorry. I should've told you beforehand as to why I created you three, but by the time I had to give you away, I felt too attached to you three and didn't want to let you go. You were created to be given to Hades's sons, Benoni and Oulixes. I created three so they would have a choice, but now I don't want to let any of you go." As she finished Charon pulled up.

"Ready to go into the underworld girls?" he asks as we silently get aboard the boat and he paddles us towards Hades. Phoenix and I sat side by side, holding hands tightly, and not wanting to see what was ahead of us.

"It's going to be alright girls I promise," Gaia murmurs softly to us. We ignore her, disappointed in our own mother for not telling us about our "fate" before hand.

"Ah, Gaia, long time no see," a deep voice said behind us. My sisters and I turn to see Hades and two boys with him. His amber eyes glittering menacingly. The boy on his right seemed our age with pale skin, light blue eyes, and grayish/silverish hair that looked nice, not elderly colored. He gave us a small but beautiful smile. The boy on Hades's left had ash colored skin, his father's amber eyes, and dark brown almost black colored hair, he seemed slightly older than the other.

"Are these stunning girls your daughters?" Hades asks, his lips curling into a smirk. I grip Phoenix's hand tighter as Gaia gives a small smile.

"Yes, this is Seraphina," she indicates to her, "Phoenix is the redhead, and next to her is Valentina." she says. Once I was indicated to, the boy on Hades's left smirked giving me chills. Hades smiles.

"This is Benoni," he says patting the nicer boy's shoulder, "and he is Oulixes." Hades introduces, "Shall we come inside and let them get to know each other?" He gives us a fake smile of hospitality. Gaia smiles, stepping out of the boat, indicating to us to follow. Phoenix and I slowly get out and follow our mother. Oulixes grins and comes to my side.

"Hey beautiful, I'm Oulixes, you can call me Lex for short," he says trying to show off his strength by flexing slightly. Phoenix and I exchange an unimpressed look.

"Valentina, Val for short. My sister Phoenix, Nix for short." I mutter avoiding his gaze.

"Cute." he murmurs looking us up and down.

"Why don't we let the young ones get to know each other alone. Shall we Gaia?" Hades says leading her in the opposite direction.

"Good luck girls," she calls disappearing around a corner.

"Come, this way," Benoni murmurs leading us down a dark tunnel that opened into a cave with beds on either side, a couch in the middle, and a pond on the other side. The five of us go and sit in the couch in awkward silence.

"So what's the deal; you guys going to force us to marry you?" I spat avoiding eye contact.

"Actually Lex is. I'm gay and have no interest in any one of you; no offense." Ben states. Lex smirks.

"So I get to choose any one of you." Lex says trailing a finger down my arm.

"Don't touch me!" I squeal, earning me a slap to the cheek. My hand instinctively flies to my cheek.

"Do NOT snap at me. You're in my house now." Lex growls as silent tears slip down my cheek.

"You did not just slap my sister," Phoenix snarls her blue eyes sparkling as her fingers start to glowing red.

"Don't even think about it Sparky," Lex growls back, his eyes flashing menacingly. I clench my fist the pond water rippling as my deep violet eyes gleam. Seraphina's jaw clenched.

"You did not just insult our sister!" Seraphina and I shout in unison the pond water erupting into the air and hits Lex square over the head. I look at my hands in shock.

"I suggest you three leave. Lex and I will tell Hades our choices at the boat," Ben said hurriedly, seeing the enraged look on his brother's face.We all nod in agreement, too shocked to speak and made our way to the boat. Gaia, Hades, and the boys come shortly after.

"Well?" Hades asks looking at the boys.

"I choose Seraphina." Ben says.

"I choose Valentina." Lex says sending me a glare.

"Perfect, we will come get you in a month. Till then my dears," Hades says as Gaia gets in the boat and we head home in silence.
