What the heck is going on?

Hi! I'm Delia MacQuoid, the normal average teenage girl with occasional mood swings. Totally normal… right? Well, at least until my birthday, that's when things started to go a bit crazy.

It was the usual day at school with my friends chatting with me, Christina, as usual, being the school bully was teasing Danielle.Suddenly, the bell rang. I immediately ran, not wanting to be late for class. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived, the teacher was already glaring at my empty seat. I tensed, knowing that a lecture was coming up ahead. "Aegle Delia MacQuoid, this is already the third time that you've been late this week, any more of this happening and you'll get detention!" Come meet me at break in the lunch hall." "Yes Mr. Harrison,"I muttered under my breath, "I'll get you back for this."

The other lessons flew by like a charm, math, English, science, chemistry… you name it. Finally, the bell rang, signaling recess, I meekly walked to the lunch hall, trudging my feet. I felt a splash of water on my back and turned to see Christina. She suddenly blocked my path, bouncing a ball in hand. "Going somewhere, freak?" She sneered. I sighed, "Christina, we both don't have the time for this, skip the theatrics and jump to the point. What's your problem?" "My problem?" She asked innocently, twirling a lock of hair around her finger, "Oh no, this isn't about me, it's about you, you're weird Delia, and I want you gone." She growled and lunged at me, arm outstretched, ready to deliver a blow to my cheek. I felt my body tighten and somersaulted backwards without thinking about it. "Wow," I gasped in awe looking at my arm, "What was that?" Christine looked startled and ran away whimpering like a wounded puppy. I laughed, still taking in what had happened. I checked my watch, "Oh crap, I'm late." I ran into the hall where Mr. Harrison was waiting for me. He sighed, "Oh Delia, I expected more of you, you're dismissed." He said with a wave of his hand. "Thanks," I muttered feeling surprised and hurried back to the classroom.

The next weird situation was physical education, there was a lightning storm outside, so we played dodgeball, and predictably, I was paired up against Christine. Christine out of all people. I sighed, she was going to want revenge. This wasn't going to be pretty.

Thankfully, I was paired up with my besties, Casey Sallow, Mark Anderson and Miles Jackworth. Casey was agile, Mark was smart, and Miles was strong. Don't get me wrong, we weren't the fantastic four, but we made a pretty good team.

'Tweet, Tweet!' We heard the coach blowing a whistle signaling the start of the game. Chrisine ignored all the other players and headed straight towards me ready to attack. I jumped back but just as I was going to be pounded by the ball, I ducked and grabbed the ball without hesitation and threw it back at her with such strength and speed that she passed out. I was starting to get really worried, "Oh my god, did I just kill her?" I managed to say, "Please don't tell me I killed her." "Nope, you didn't kill her, she still has a pulse, i wish you did though, she's a bad cookie." Mark pulled out his laptop,he didn't go anywhere without it. "She'll be knocked out cold for about… " He started to frantically jab at his computer until he was finally satisfied, "one hour, thirty-three minutes, seven seconds and two hundred and twenty-nine milliseconds. She'll wake up with a nasty bump on her head though." "Christine's going to kill me." I groaned.

When Christine came to her senses surprisingly, she left me alone. I felt surprised, she wasn't going to take revenge on me?

At night I didn't sleep well, I had a nightmare that Christine was a gigantic monster and was finally taking her revenge on me! A lightning bolt sparked out of my fingertips and set the whole house on fire. I stared in horror at the fire and rushed to the door. Suddenly, a gust of fire blew towards me. "No!" I shrieked but the fire didn't burn me, I stared at my body but the shock didn't last long. "Oh my god I need help!"

But the smoke was too much for me and I fainted.

When I woke up I was in a hospital. I groggily opened my eyes to see three men staring at me.

"What the hell?" I thought. "They aren't even my parents! Why are they acting like it?" As if they could read my thoughts, one man said "But we are!"
