Prologue

I've never felt this way in my life. It happened that I was filled with anger, I could lose my temper, but I quickly calmed down. He could feel sad and bitter. But now all this burning rage has mixed with a devastating sense of loss into a crazy cocktail that has just cooled down. But it didn't disappear. The stream of feelings burning with fire thickened, turning into an acrid, poisonous syrup, spreading through my nerves. And this feeling was eating away at everything. Dreams, hopes, plans, everything just dissolved in acidic anger.

And because... I didn't even have a shadow of a doubt.

When I got to the right suburban area, I just took my breath away. I saw them…

A few guys and girls were having a carefree rest. The aroma of cooking meat hit my nose. I heard a cheerful laugh, from which there was a direct smell of intoxication. They acted as if nothing had happened. And my teeth began to naturally crumble from how hard I clenched my jaws. And he squeezed the handle of the axe so hard that for a moment it seemed as if the muscles of his wrist cramped.

- What? One of the girls heard a rustle when I was already near.

Getting over the fence wasn't a problem at all. And here... I was noticed.

I had no desire to talk to them. In my eyes, all these people were guilty. And my hand didn't waver.

With a wet crunch, the axe blade pierced the girl's skull, entering her head.

- What the…

The others were naturally taken aback. They didn't even know me, and they didn't understand what was going on here. And I didn't even have the intention to explain to them what their fault was. And at that moment, the poisonous cocktail in me began to boil. The flame of hatred flared up. And while these people did not come to their senses, I struck another blow. Quickly getting closer to the main culprit, seeing the fear in his eyes, I cut into his skull with an axe.

An image of a young girl lying on a table pops up in my memory.

I remember the blue marks on her neck.

But such a serene face…

- What the fuck are you, fuck!

The pain burned like fire between my ribs. One of the guys got his bearings and was able to do at least something. He grabbed a skewer and stabbed me with it. But…

- Die... - a furious hiss escaped from my mouth.

He recoiled, trying to avoid the blow, but the axe got him. Although not in the head. The blade cut into the guy's shoulder, breaking his collarbone and cutting through the flesh. And therefore, I sharply swung my hand, striking a new blow. And even then he managed to cover his head with his hand. The others were already running into the house, only one girl with a scream attacked me from behind, sticking a knife in my back.

And immediately got an axe blade in the face when I turned around. The knife remained in my back.

A cutting pain lashed fire somewhere in the area of my shoulder blades with every movement I made. Tears welled up in my eyes by themselves, but even the pain just burned in a burning rage. I already had nothing to lose, and life suddenly ceased to seem like some special value. Far more important to me was the payback.

My heart was pounding in a mad, furious rhythm.

- W-wait... who... what do you need... the guy I haven't finished off yet moaned in despair.

- Do you remember her? I gasped.

My lungs burned with fire, I felt the taste of iron in my mouth. And, in general, it seemed as if flames were spewing out of my mouth as if I was a real demon.

- What? Who?

- My sister.

And now, my hand really cramped when I quickly chopped with an axe with force. And this time the guy simply did not have the strength to defend himself, his legs were no longer holding him. So, the blade just cracked his skull, scattering fragments of brain and blood splatters in different directions.

- Yes…

She disappeared almost a week ago. And I couldn't find a place for myself from anxiety. Especially since I had no one else besides her. For several years, we were left alone together, our parents were killed in an accident, and, in fact, only I had to take care of my underage sister. She was just starting school. And I had to leave the institute to get a job. But, now it doesn't matter anymore…

My sister is missing…

And after some time, her dead body was found. This chilling feeling, with which the earth is moving away from under your feet and as if your whole world is collapsing, is still in me. I can still feel that desperation.

She was simply strangled…

And it turned out to be so easy to find the culprits... these guys were already quite famous. They have already been filed several times on charges of violence and murder, but the police have not even started a case. How convenient it is when your parents are quite rich and influential. But, alas, this does not save you from crazed avengers like me. Especially if you are not under protection, and you yourself broke away from supervision in order to swallow freedom from parental control.

- Ha-ha-ha... hysterical laughter erupts from my lips.

Out of the rage that had seized me, dark, evil mirth flared up. For the first time since my sister's death, I experienced something good. The joy of knowing that one of her killers is now dead. But that's not all, the others are locked in the house. But, I wasn't going to break in with an axe. My eyes have already caught on the fuel canister that they used to light a fire in the grill. And the house is just wooden.

And after a couple of minutes, the door and several walls were already doused, and I also picked up a lighter found there, near the grill.

- Burn... burn the geeks... ha-ha-ha…

Oh, yes, I watched with real perverse pleasure as a vicious, cruel flame engulfed the house. And how nice it was to hear a frightened squeal inside. And after some time, breaking the glass with a chair, another guy jumped out of the window. Another geek who should feel the retribution.

- Die, you fucking psycho! – With this cry, he himself rushed at me.

And the little hatchet in his hands not only did not frighten me but only caused a new attack of evil fun.

- It was better for you to burn…

I didn't even try to avoid the blow, I just put my left hand in, and the blade of the hatchet cut into it. This blow seemed to reverberate in my bones, I felt a fracture, but it did not even slow me down when I sharply brought the axe down on the criminal's head.

And I directly felt that the remaining guys and girls were afraid to run away from the house engulfed in fire. They were afraid of me. And they hid inside while the black smoke filled all the rooms.

- Hah-ha-ha…

I was getting worse myself.

Even the burning anger could no longer block the approaching weakness. And yet, my body seemed to be burning with pain, which only became stronger, burning my nerves. My legs began to tremble and, approaching the gazebo, I just sat down on a bench, putting the axe in front of me.

Blood flowed profusely from my wounds, and the pain throbbed in my insides. But, I didn't even have a thought to call an ambulance. I just wanted to watch ... how people I hate burn alive. Although, there were no more screams. I believe that those who were still in the house had already lost consciousness from carbon monoxide and were now suffocating. It is likely that they will die even before the flames reach them.

- Aaa…

Getting to my feet was harder than I thought.

But, I just had the thought that someone might survive there. And to prevent this from happening, I went straight to the burning house. I got inside through a broken window, although I was injured on the chipped glass, I got inside.

- Heh-ha, it's me…

The cruel flame at first gently licked my shoulder, but immediately clung to it with fangs of heat, like an angry bulldog, engulfing my clothes and melting my skin.

- Ha-ha-ha…

- Nnnn! The girl moaned, covering her face with a wet rag.

Good girl, I figured out how to cope with the gas a little. Although, it wouldn't help for a long time.

- Aaa... damn ... - The smoke directly burned my lungs from the inside.

But, taking a deep breath noisily, feeling the heat dig thousands of needles into my insides, I stepped forward.

I remember striking my last blow, smashing another head.

I remember being surrounded by bright flames and black smoke.

And I kept laughing.

Although, it also tore my lungs from the pain.

- Ha-ha-ha…

And I didn't come out of there.

No one came out of the burning house.
