Where people learn magic, they are always people from prestigious families or noble families; they have a first and last name as their family's name, but people who only have one name are limited to everything. They could take the test, but under the ethical code, they would be denied.
After getting denied for the fifth time in his five years of trying, Arion goes to his master, a wise woman. Seeing her apprentice already growing up, she decides to teach him her own magic or ancient magic. She brings him to another hill to teach him, grind him, and train him with her magic. Eventually, she passed the ancient magic on to Arion.
A year passes, and Arion takes another test to enroll in the academy. Like 5 years earlier, he easily answers the written exam, he easily breaks the record in the physical exam, and he shows the ancient magic in the magic exam. A girl tries to ask what magic he used, but he refuses to tell her. Eventually he learns that he is the eldest of all the participants; he is 22 years old, while the others are 16–17 years old. Surprise, he gets accepted to the academy in his sixth try and in his 20s.
