CHAPTER 14

Yoo Na had refused to go to Elites High at first, but after listening to the detectives, she needed to go to the school because going to a good school meant that she could work in a good place and earn money.

"Mom, Dad I'll go to the school tomorrow." Yoo Na told her parents in the middle of dinner with a straight face, after Bae Ra died, she could barely raise her lips upward, nothing made her happy anymore, not after she witnessed how vicious and heartless a person could be, she had made up her mind that no matter the long years it took to find the culprit, she would get her revenge. Her parents face brightened up with a huge grin on them, they were elated that she hadn't given up on the scholarship.

"That's wonderful dear, thank you for not giving up on your future." Her dad said with bright eyes. Her future was sealed on catching her friend's murderer and killing him with her two hands, so she had already given up on having a normal life. She didn't rely on justice anymore, because the law never favoured the weak it only worked in favour of the wealthy ones so she relied on her blood seeking revenge instead since that was the only thing that she could put her trust on, on her anger that could never disappear.

"I thought you had gone crazy when you said you wouldn't go but I'm glad you came to your senses. Her mother said as she ate her food happily but Yoo Na didn't reply. " It seems like you have gotten over Bae Ra's death already, its good though at least you can focus on your life now since there's nothing anyone can do to bring her back although its very sad." Her mother continued. Yoo Na felt a heaviness in her chest, it wasn't easy to talk about Bae Ra after what she saw, she stopped eating and then abruptly got up and left without a word.

"Why would you bring that up?" Mr Oh scolded the woman.

"I thought she was feeling better when she said she'd take the scholarship how was I supposed to know." Mrs Oh defended.

"Aishh." Mr Oh sighed heavily as he shook his head.

Yoo Na woke up early to prepare for the school, not because she was excited in any way but because she didn't want to be late on the first day of school. She put on the expensive uniform which was given to her free of charge as part of the scholarship package or she'd have had to pay a fortune for it. She tied her hair in a ponytail after dressing up and she soon looked like one of those rich little brats probably because she had good skin and beautiful physical features but right now, none of those things mattered to her, all she wanted to do was to investigate some more on her theories and catch the culprit.

Their family were so poor they couldn't even be able to afford to give her money for the bus so she would take her old worn out bike instead.

"My daughter is so pretty, the uniform suits you better than anyone omo." Her mother showered her with praises, her old self would have smiled along but she was in no mood for that, it seemed like everything now irritated her after Bae Ra's death.

"I have to go." She said as she dashed out of the house.

"Won't you eat breakfast honey!" Her mother called after her but she didn't look back as she hopped on her bike which looked like it was going to fall apart anytime soon as she rode on it. Her parents couldn't understand how she felt, only if they knew what she saw and what she felt at the moment, the sadness and anger that engulfed her heart was immeasurable and it wasn't going to disappear anytime soon.

The school was a one hour ride from her house mostly because of how old and slow her bike was but she didn't care, she would give whatever it took to achieve her dream.

She arrived at the school, it spoke of nothing but luxury, yes the school was gorgeous, it was made of glass and marble floors, everything was expensive, even the gates cost a fortune, she showed the guards at the school gate her ID card before they let her in. It was enormous and she strained her eyes just to look at the whole school, the field was larger than a golf course. Sadness hit her again as she remembered Bae Ra couldn't even come here with her, it was already too late. She took a breath in and out before getting a hold of herself as she laid her bike at one corner, the worn out bike looked so out of place but she didn't care, expensive cars trooped in and she saw students coming out of it, they looked, talked and acted all posh and classy but mostly proudly. She would never get along with them, at least that was not what she came here for.

She quickly went into the building and the interior design looked even more dashing than the exterior of the place. She went to the principal's office and knocked lightly on the door.

"Come in." She heard the man's voice. She opened the door and walked in.

"Sit, you're the scholarship student, right?" He asked as she sat on the leathery chair.

"Yes, hello." She said politely.

"Why are you resuming this late then? You should have resumed by last week." He scolded.

"I'm sorry, there was a bit of situation but I won't lag behind I'm good at studying." She assured and he looked at her before saying,

"Alright then, I'll take you to your class now." He said as he got up and she followed him, he was of average height and he had a small stature, but he seemed like a nice person even when he didn't show it. They stopped in front of a door with engraved words on it, 'GRADE 11' and he said,

"This is your class, go in, your teacher will introduce you when the class is complete." He said and she nodded, he disappeared from her sight and she stood in front of the door for a second before she walked in. The class was expensively furnished and it even smelled nice, it was big enough to occupy at least two hundred students. There were a few students in the class, chattering but no one said anything to her as she walked over to her seat ignoring them, they only stared at her for a moment and giggled a little knowing that she was the scholarship girl from a poor background but they had a glint of jealousy in their eyes as they saw how pretty a poor kid looked, she was even prettier than most of them, she sat at the second to last seat near the window, she didn't want any attention on her so she would just ignore them all. Class had finally started for the day and the students trooped in, their class had up to a hundred students in total. She realized that some were more popular than the others, but she didn't care. A tall girl with short black hair walked in, she raised her chin up more proudly than the others as she cat walked into the class and Yoo Na saw as most of the girls in the class hovered around her but she only talked to a girl and another boy whom she realised must have been her close friends.

A tall good looking boy walked into the class, he had black silky hair and he obviously was good looking, but no one gathered around him like ants but she knew he was very popular since everyone's eyes were on him and the girls blushed hard as he walked in, but he had a stoic expression on his face as he walked to his seat which was behind Yoo Na and she wondered why he sat at the back of the class in the last seat when he was obviously popular. The teacher walked into the class and every one settled down.

"Hello, miss Shin." The whole class greeted.

"Hello class, we have a new student joining us today, Oh Yoo Na can you please stand up and introduce yourself?" The teacher said with a cheerful expression on her face. Yoo Na felt the peering eyes on her but she didn't care, she stood up confidently.

"Hello class, I'm Oh Yoo Na, the scholarship student." She said as she bowed slightly. Everyone was truly speechless by how pretty a nobody like her was, especially In Ra whose eyes squinted in jealousy when she looked at the girl.
