A certain blonde teenager around the age of sixteen could currently be seen laying down on his back peacefully on a decently tall grassy hill that overlooked the riverbank of the city that he was in. The blonde male having been seen wearing what could easily be identified to be a school uniform of sorts, which consisted of a mainly blue set of clothes along with him wearing a yellow shirt underneath.

On his ears were also a pair of headphones.

This male was none other than Sakamaki Izayoi, a person who was viewed quite heavily as a delinquent in his school and for good reason. Mainly because of his attitude towards others, which is usually rude though not threatening... in most cases. He is also skipping school right now just to stay here, so there's that too.

"Man, life can seriously be such a bore. There has to be something fun to do here..."

While giving a long tired sigh, Izayoi reached to his headphones before taking them off and placing them down beside him. His attention was soon caught by a group of people who would be labelled delinquents even faster than himself, they were standing around wearing long coats with the words 'Fighting Spirit' printed onto them.

Looking closer, Izayoi noticed that the group were all surrounding a boy probably around his own age. The boy being on the ground kneeling while clutching his head as the delinquents were all kicking and laughing at him, the boy begging for them to stop as tears were running down his face uncontrollably due to their actions.

"Wow, this guy's pathetic!"

"Just look at him screaming and crying!"

"It's hilarious! Hahaha~!"

"Let's just throw him into the river so he can wash himself up! Make sure to tie both his hands and legs as well!"

Staring at the scene for a second, Izayoi began to stand up while rubbing his head as he stared at the group were had yet to notice his presence. Izayoi having just slowly picked up a small pebble from the ground before tossing it up and down, to which he then grinned devilishly towards the group at the riverbank before screaming.

"Man, I'm really bored. If boredom could be sold for a good penny, I'm quite confident that I could make the greatest living ever. You dumb fools, how about providing me with some entertainment before I reward you all with a nice long-term trip to the nearest hospital?"

There was no reaction from the group at all towards Izayoi's words. Though, it wasn't like he expected any kind of response. He didn't even shout those words aloud, and they were no doubt clear enough for the group to hear him from the couple of meters away they were from him. He then reeled his arm back.

"Let me join in on some fun too!"

Izayoi then threw the pebble he picked up towards the group at impossible speeds, and fast enough that the pebbles gained enough heat that they turned red. He picked up a few more as he continued to throw them with a large grin on his face, and his actions were causing quite a bit of mayhem as when every stone made contact with the ground, a small explosion resulted.

The destruction was so great that the whole entire riverside was blown away.

"G-Gah~!"

"It-It's Sakamaki Izayoi! Run for it, everyone!"

"Don't run away just yet. Let's have some more fun!" Izayoi shouted with a mad chuckle as he continued to throw the pebbles. The rain of pebbles continue for a bit before calming down, and when the built-up dust clouds began to part way. Izayoi noticed that all the delinquents, as well as that nerdy kid, were all gone now.

Izayoi sighed at this.

"Boring..."

Izayoi turned around to pick up his bag, though paused when he noticed something in the corner of his eye. He blinked once before looking to see that it was a letter that was strangely falling from the sky and directly into his hand.

At the current time, a young girl appearing to be sixteen and having long black hair and lean frame, as well as beautiful fair skin, was standing in a rather large and fancy residence. Her outfit consisting of a white long-sleeved shirt, and also a knee-lengthed black skirt. Her hair being tied with two red ribbons.

This was Asuka Kudou, and she was currently staring at a strange letter laying down on a table in front of her. Her blue eyes staring unblinkingly at the letter, a large amount of confusion and curiosity present in them despite how dull they were appearing right now.

Not long after, a knock was heard from the door as it opened and a maid was seen standing outside of the door. A silver platter in her right hand with a fancy drink placed atop.

"Excuse me, Miss Kudou. I have brought you a cold drink and-..."

"Yes, thank you very much. I was out for quite a while, was there anyone that entered into my room?"

"Eh? No, I don't believe so..."

"Are you sure?" Asuka asked with narrowed eyes. Though, a strange pinkish glow soon occurred as her eyes also glowed ever so slightly with a deep sapphire colour. She then spoke in a cold and demanding tone. "𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡. 𝐈 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮!"

"Y-Yes, I am certain!" The maid panicked a bit in her response as she felt some kind of force pushing her to tell the absolute truth in her mind. "Even if there was someone, you're the only one with the key to the room... I didn't see anyone try either..."

"Very well. Thank you. You may leave." Asuka voiced in a calmer tone as the maid just nodded and bowed before closing the door gently. When she did so, Asuka turned back to look at the letter placed on the table before giving a small smirk as she picked it up. "Just like a game of clue... However, unlike finding a killer, I'll be looking for the sender of this letter. How exciting!"

In a rather mysteriously looking place, which appeared to be quite high up in the sky was a young girl that was probably fourteen in age and had short brown hair. Her attire consisting of an open white and blue jacket that is ankle-length and splits into two ends past her thighs. She was also wearing a white blouse underneath and a pair of orange pumpkin shorts.

A pair of black knee-high socks and tall brown boots were also present, along with a blue band that was wrapped twice around her wrists and around her neck was a black band necklace that had what appeared to be some kind of wooden carving attached to it that dangled like a pendulum.

This girl was Kasukabe Yo.

"𝘚𝘰-𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥, 𝘠𝘰! 𝘈 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘺!"

"From... the sky?"

The first voice belonged to a cat that was easily identified to be of the calico breed as he was seen running towards Yo from the distance while shouting. This was indeed a regular cat, though could be understood by Yo as the carving that she had in her possession seemed to grant her the ability to talk with different animals.

The cat had a letter in its mouth when it arrived, Yo soon taking hold of it in her hands.

"𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥, 𝘠𝘰! 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭! 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘺!" Despite it sounding like the cat was making a number of excuses, Yo just smiled and petted the cat gently on the head, causing him to release a satisfied purr, before responding. "Don't worry, Calico. I believe you, you're telling the truth."

A young man appearing to be around the age of thirteen or fourteen could be seen sitting on the cement ground of what appeared to be an abandoned building, countless shards of glass present on the ground that he sat upon, with one particular sharp piece of glass held in the right hand of the young man.

Having neat straight black hair along with beautiful fair skin that was slightly pale, his eyes being a pair of dead silver eyes that were slightly sharp at the edges. His features allowed him to have quite the attractive face, one that was both quite adorable yet masculine due to his jawline being quite prominent and more.

The young man wore mainly black and white clothing. Which consisted of a pair of tight long black pants that shows his lean legs off well, a pair of tall black belt-strap leather boots and also a white t-shirt that stuck decently well to his lean muscular frame. Over the top of his shirt was an open black long-sleeved hoodie.

Finally, the young man wore a black mask that covered his mouth.

This boy was Kosuke.

Kosuke sat down silently for a second before gripping the glass shard he had in his hand before raising it slowly in front of him, the tip pointed towards his head. His eyes nor his body showed any hesitation as he then plunged the glass shard towards himself, directly towards the centre between his eyes. Though, upon making contact...

Shatter...

The glass shard had completely shattered into tiny pieces upon impact. The male didn't even appear surprised as he gave a short yet defeated sigh as his eyes, despite remaining the same as before, had a sense of feeling that was as if he expected the outcome. He dropped both his arms to his sides as his head tilted upwards.

He noticed something falling through the holes in the windows that made up the ceiling, he instantly recognised it to be some kind of letter in a white envelope. Despite it not having even come through, he could read his name printed on it. He didn't show it, but some confusion was present inside him as it slowly dropped onto his lap.

Kosuke just stared at the letter before taking hold of it and slowly and gently opening it up, not at all damaging the envelope as he pulled out the note that was inside. Though, it was more like a card then a folded letter. He blinked before scanning his eyes over the content.

He wasn't even given any time to really think about what the letter said before he was engulfed by a bright blue light, the source being the letter. Though, he didn't seem to at all react to it as he just let things play out. His vision soon becoming completely white as the light coming from the letter increased in brightness.

With that, he was gone...
