1 A new life

The Sytem was the hailed God of Earth-Terra.

Based on old scriptures, when the universe was first created, the System was there witnessing it.

When Earth-Terra was formed from the collusions of meteors and space debris, the System decided to create life on it using a portion of its body after feeling the sense of loneliness.

Humans and Monsters were then created along with the formation of myriad environments and biomes on Earth-Terra

The System was happy as it felt its loneliness fading away bit by bit. Until, monsters started to rule the Earth-Terra.

The System felt pity for the Humankind and so it bestowed upon them a part of its self, a system that will enable them to gain levels and grow.

So the balance was regained once again...

Until the Humans prevailed and change the tides.

Now the Monsters are on the losing side.

Feeling pity once again, the System took another portion of its body and gave the Monsters a fighting chance, a tier up system, quite similar to human-kind.

But this did not end the dispute and did not brought balance the System wanted.

It even spelled war and destruction across Earth-Terra.

Soon, a never ending war for resources and land broke out, as Humans and Monsters fought each other.

The Sytem felt heartbroken once again and decided to take one last portion of its body.

It used this portion to create an independent realm for Monsters, the Dungeons.

But as soon as this happened, it felt greatly weakened.

Monsters eventually evacuated to their respective dungeons that are suitable for their race and Humankind finally gained total domination of Earth-Terra.

There is a small portion of Monsters who were not able to evacuate on time, and so their race became slaves to the Humans until they evolved into forms which benefits the Humans even more than them, they became livestocks.

And after one Generation Cycle, a great flaw appeared that brought back the dispute between Humans and Monsters.

Dungeon portald opened which enabled Humans to enter the Dungeons and hunt Monsters.

The only thing that the System was trying to end, repeated once again.

Since they loved to fight each other so much, the System gave up.

The Sytem eventually felt at loss and decided to create a grand competition between the two factions to end everything.

It created...

The War of Dungeons.

A once every 3 generation competition where a bridge will appear and connect the dungeon realms and Earth-Terra.

But there is a catch.

For every single generation, a selecting order of Human-Monster-Human will be imposed as an Anomaly will be selected randomly and will be given a title boost giving the faction a fighting chance to finish the other.

And after five War of Dungeons, twenty Anomalies have already been selected, their histories and contributions were written down as legends for both factions.

Seeing both factions were at wit's end, the System decided to take a break and hibernate on the empty space as it will wake up when one faction remains.

...

Huh...

I actually died...

I feel... lonely...

Empty...

I... miss mum...

Guess mum would eventually accompany me... when the news of my death reaches her...

Oh m-mum...

Please live on for me...

Please don't feel sad that I won't be able to... embrace you anymore...

That I won't be able to kiss your forehead and say I love you every single day and night...

That I wont be there beside you when we share our exciting stories...

I love you mum... hopefully you're doing well...

...

'HA!!!!'

She screamed internally as she felt her body throbbing with pain.

'F*CK! ARGHH!!!'

She embraced herself and lay down on the moist dark soil as she endured the pain.

'W-What's going on, am I not dead?!?!'

She asked inwardly as she tried to grit her teeth, only to fail.

'Where are my teeth when I need them! For God's sake! I can't even frown! What's happening to me!'

After a few minutes that lasted like eternity for Iziul, the pain subsided as she collapsed on the ground, trying to breath but still failed.

'I-I can't breath? Wait... Why can't I breathe?'

Iziul immediately 'opened' her eyes.

On the dirty ground, a blue translucent figure of a small toy-like alien lay down as its hollow eye sockets started to flicker when two yellow orbs of light ignited.

Blinded by the lights, Iziul had a moment to adjust her eyes first.

When her eyes adapted to the brightness, she was welcomed by the tall trees of Pine woods.

Gazing at the sky, she saw an empty domain of sky-blue hue.

Trying to blink, but only to fail again, Iziul grumply tried to stand up and assessed her situation.

'Hmm... It seems like I'm in some sort of Pine tree woods... though I wonder why are those trees so tall... like skyscrapers...? SKYSCRAPERS?!?'

Iziul was stupefied and widened her eyes and turned to observe at her surroundings.

'Where the f*ck am I? And why can't I even talk? What's going on?!?!'

Iziul outbursted inwardly but still used her brain to think of a conclusion of her current situation.

Raising her head to try to scratch her head, hey eyes caught a glimpse of a gelatin pointed hand.

Instinctly steping back, she fell down on her butt as her body couldn't take in the rough movement.

'Ehhhhhh!!!'

Raising her hands, Iziul was stupefied. Gazing down, she saw two gelatinous feet and a blue skinned body.

'My physique... my precious physique...' Iziul thought inwardly and decided to close her eyes and sigh, only to fail again twice in a row.

'Argh... I can't even accomplish simple mannerisms---'

TINGS!

A ringtone appeared out of nowhere.

Her sight suddenly changed as a holographic panel appeared in front of her saying,

...

[Soul transmigration was successful]

[Physique is being scanned for new Host]

...

'Huh voice... this sounded like the ingrained neuro-computer chips that the scientist implanted on our heads when we were still kids...' Iziul thought to herself while still inwardly shocked and trying to make sense out of... things.

Ting!

...

[Scan was successful]

'Fuhh... what?' Iziul furrowed her nonexistent eyebrows, only to fail again miserably.

Feeling a headache about to hit her head again, Iziul decided to perform her stress relieving technique.

To sit down and contemplate.

Sitting down, Iziul decided to tinker on the panel and check each one of them.

Seeing the familiar symbols and game-style arrangements, Iziul concluded that she has those status windows similar to Video Games.

Getting over with that, Iziul then checked her 'skills' first since as a soldier in her life, survival tools, or skills for her situation, would actually change everything.

She decided to read each one of them after she glanced at three blue pearls in front of her.

'What are those? Oh well, I'll check them later.' She thought and started reading, fortunately the words were written in Earth English.

...

[Spawn Creation] (MAX)

...

Silently pondering, Iziul discovered she is a Monster, a Bit at that. Asking herself what was that, she checked the system, only to fail to see any descriptions.

'Oh well, guess I'll be able to see a few guys like me in the long run I guess... Hmm, my skill is messed up... I can eat and digest anything huh?' Iziul was intrigued since this marks out her problem for food.

'Now the warnings.' She thought and willed the system to check the warning notifications. Her actions were already fluid since the system was very similar to the neuro-computer chip implanted in her head before.

...

[WARNING! User needs to eat Geno Points as your Health Points will drop every minute when it reaches a negative number.]

...

Reading that, Iziul turned to look at her Health Points only to see it drop to 1.

With a general understanding that zero health points meant instant death, Iziul did not hesitate and scooped the soil to immediately eat it.

'How to eat! How to eat!' She shouted inwardly when her cells 'morphed and swallowed' the handful of soil on her hand.

'Not enough.' Iziul thought then scooped more soil until she heard a ringtone.

TING!

...

[+1 Geno Point]

...

Hearing that, Iziul sighed inwardly, then decided to patch the missing Health Points first since leaving it as it is seems very dangerous. And by doing so, she did not in any way, hesitated to eat dirt.

Well, she was already used to eating anything in her previous life's hardcore military training, so eating dirt isn't something new to her. Quite contrary, the soil tasted sweet like sugar, so she did not waver a bit while 'eating' it, the taste was already the silver lining of it.

...

[+1 Geno Point]

[+1 Geno Point]

[+1 Geno Point]

...

After gaining a number of 20 Geno Points, Iziul used the 19 to recover her Health Points then decided to eat more sweet dirt to gain 10 more Geno Points for rainy days. She's a general for a reason.

After that issue disclosed, Iziul then went to check the next warning.

...

[WARNING! The user cannot create spawns due to low tier.

...

'Oh... hmm...' Looking at the blue pearls that looked even more like eggs to her, she felt a faint connected, like a faint thread that connected her to them, like some sort of mother bond.

Picking one up, her conjectures were right, they were indeed connected to them as she felt comfortable holding them.

Observing them intently, a panel appeard.

...

[Bit Spawn]

Incubation: 1 hour...32 minutes...4 seconds...

...

'I see... so they are indeed my children... Welp, if only mum could see them, she would already be jumping around happily... if only.... Welp! Let's not lock ourselves in the past! I'm a new 'life-form' now, I'm not sure if I can still go back so there's no point sulking over it. I can only pray. If ever there is a God listenning. Make sure to keep my mum happy.' Iziul prayed then sat down to eat more sweet soil since the taste was quite addictive.

...

At an orphanage, a white-haired old lady sat on a wooden rocking chair outside, on the porch, while gazing at the sun setting horizon.

"My lass... I hope you're doing well in heaven... Mum so proud of you... Mum will be okay... I will be okay." She muttered softly while smiling as a tear fell on her eye.

She then turned to look at her side and saw children happily playing.

With joy filling her sad heart, she did not feel lonely anymore. There is still a space inside her heart that misses Iziul but instead of crying over it after learning the news of her death, she decided to fill that empty space with the good memories she spent with her daughter and decided to live on, for Iziul, for her and for the children both of them took in at the orphanage.

"Mum is okay."
