20 Chapter 20: Number Five

"Hey, tell me something, was that Demon related to you?" Ariel inquired as she flew a little closer to the Demon Lord who was still on the floor.

"Don't ask stupid questions." The Demon retorted before biting her lower lip.

"I see so he is related to you. Brother, I presume?"

The Demon didn't say anything in response to that, Ariel could tell she was looking for an opening to take her by surprise.

"I guess I can understand the way you feel but that doesn't change the fact that he caused the death of over two hundred people today and karma ended up biting him, I didn't do it but I would have still done it anyway if I had gotten the chance." She expressed.

"Will you shut your mouth?!" The Demon snapped before quickly hurling two fireballs toward Ariel.

Those fireballs were moving quite fast and they were coming toward her at the same time, any other person wouldn't be able to dodge that in a situation like that but Ariel dodged them effortlessly.

The fireballs kept moving until they made contact with the domain and suddenly got observed.

"What?" The Demon Lord gasped.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you…"

Just before Ariel could finish that statement the fireballs that were hurled toward her appeared behind the Demon and slammed right into her.

With how close the fireballs were before being launched toward her, she just couldn't react fast enough to get out of the way.

Those were her own attacks and now she was down on one knee panting.

"I forgot to tell you, this wind domain isn't just for show, inside here you're pretty much miserable. My speed is increased ten times compared to when I'm outside this but you wouldn't notice just by looking and everything you throw at me is going to come back to bite you, just like those fireballs." She explained. "Like I said, you're quite hopeless in here, Demon Lord."

"What proof do you have?"

"Huh?"

"What proof do you have that Derick was the one that did all that?!" The Demon questioned.

She sounded quite grieved, anyone close by would be able to feel the pain in her voice just Ariel.

'I might actually be touched.' She muttered in her mind before flying closer to her until her feet were on the floor now.

"Hmm, so you came here without knowing anything about what your brother did, the only proof I need is him being found at the highest stand in the the arena that is always reserved for the president and also the fact that three other Demons were found there." Ariel disclosed. "Everything points toward him doing it no doubt about that and the motivation behind his actions was becoming a Demi Demon Lord, is that not right?"

"I told you to stop speaking like you know anything about him."

Now that she was on the ground and close to her, the Demon thought that maybe she would be able to get a direct hit on her.

She covered her fists with flames and went for a double punch on the student but just before her fists could get to her, the flames surrounding her fists turned off.

"Huh?"

Ariel seized the moment to grab her by both of her arms before slamming her right knee straight into her face.

"Arghhh."

Ariel let go of her arms after that and now she had both knees on the floor and not just that, both of her hands were on the floor too.

"How did you do that?" The Demon groaned.

"It's simple, it's true that the main reason why fire users can effortlessly make flames is because of the mana that is everywhere now but the rule of fire needing oxygen to burn is still valid to and guess who controls every bit of oxygen in this domain?"

"I see, so that's what happened, this is the real reason why you said I was hopeless in here."

"Ummm….not quite, there's something more important that you need oxygen for." Ariel retorted.

At that moment, the Demon felt the oxygen going into her forcefully getting dragged out of her before it could reach her lungs and complete her breathing process, and that made her feel like she was getting shocked so instinctively she grabbed her neck with both of her hands.

"I should have done this from the beginning but I guess I wanted to understand your thought process first."

It sounded like the Demon was pleading but getting choked like that, she couldn't really say anything out loud.

At that moment, Ariel turned to her spear to see that the red light keeping the barrier up was blinking.

"Hmm, looks like our time is up." She said before sending the Demon flying forward with a powerful kick.

She was about to smash into the walls of the barrier when the thing shattered returning the sky to its normal colour.

The Demon was finally able to breathe normally now and with how she was struggling just a few seconds ago, she was breathing quite hard.

"I understand the way you think now," Ariel remarked before pulling her spear out of the ground.

With her spear in her hand now, she began to make her way to the Demon Lord who was still catching her breath.

"To put it simply, you're a caring big sister who's mad because her brother suddenly got murdered. You care a big deal about him and I guess I find that cute, however, you couldn't care less about the hundreds of people he murdered, I would've said it's because they're humans but you also don't give a damn about the other three Demons that were with him so I don't know what to say."

She was standing over the Demon Lord now with her gaze on her.

"I guess I can relate to you in a sense but that doesn't mean it's a good thing. In conclusion, I'll make things short and send you to your brother, you love him so dearly after all." The sarcasm in that statement was overflowing but there was nothing the Demon could do in her current state. "I know I won't miss."

She raised her spear at that moment but just before she could bring it down, she sensed something.

An arrow from the right and it was coming in fast toward her.

She had to quickly move back with a quick back flip but two arrows quickly came flying toward her right after that.

She had to use her wind ability to be able to barely deflect one of the arrows but the other one ended up stabbing right into her left shoulder.

Groaning was normal in a situation like this but she bit her lower lip to prevent that sound from coming out before pulling the arrow out of her arm. It was bleeding a good amount but that was the least of her worries right now.

"You really are that fast if you were able to avoid getting hit by two of them."

She quickly turned to the Demon Lord on the floor at that moment to see someone standing beside her.

A huge man who was almost six foot nine, he had dark red hair and a scar curved toward his cheek on the left side of his face.

Ariel was stunned, this person had the appearance of a human but she could tell he was a Demon and not just any Demon, a high-ranking Demon Lord.

"You, you're number five of the Demon Lords, Terebrare."

Despite getting hit like that, Ariel was still doing a good job of keeping her composure.

"It's nice to meet you too, number four of the Grand Knights," Terebrare remarked.
