2 Chapter Two

Bedelia blinked her eyes open and for some seconds she lay still trying to make sense of her surroundings, the last thing she remembered was getting angry at the tall bald boy that hurt Jace.

What happened afterward and where was she? she took her time to process everything before trying to move her body which seems stiff.

She had to try, she moved her wrist first but only to find out it was stuck in something, where was she? Bedelia still couldn't focus with her blurry vision.

She struggled to free her wrist but it was impossible to move, she only ends up with a sharp pain in her wrist. Where was she, she needs to get out of here.

And when she finally got to look around, she found a drip attached to her wrist and a hang cuff at the other wrist.

"Not again! she almost screamed and hastily sat up from the bed, why had she been taken to the hospital? They know she hates being here, it was one of her worst nightmares.

She tried to slide her wrist from the cuff but her skin peeled at the effort, she boy down her tears and thought of another escape idea. They knew she would try running away that's the reason she had cuffed her bed, this wasn't the first time she was admitted or brought here.

Her anger building up, ready to consume her, the only thing she wanted now was to get out of her, they were pushing her to my limit till the only option left was for her to hurt and destroy.

"Jace! Bedelia heard me call in seconds, he was the only person that could get her out of there, to save her from herself.

Jace!! she screamed again while trying to get herself under control just then, Jace dashed into the room, straight toward her bed with a panicked expression.

"I'm here, Elia...calm down, just take a deep breath, everything is going to be okay," he said calmly then reached to hold her hand.

"Get me out of here Jace! Get me the fucking out of here! she yelled with tears in her eyes.

"Hey, just listen to me and take a deep breath" he pulled her toward his chest and embraced her while giving her time to calm down "I hate it here, you know that right? I hate being here".

"I know that and I'm sorry for not doing anything to stop them from bringing you here... I promise I'm going to get you out of here...he continued while patting my back gently.

She wasn't scared of being vulnerable in front of him just like she was with other people, he was always her safe zone.

"It's fine, just a little more time and we would be out of here, he looked down at her sweaty face with an assuring smile before placing a kiss on her forehead.

"It's fine, Elia, I'm here with you"

"You're not allowed in here" a voice interrupted them both as they turned to find the doctor standing over at the door, Bedelia ignored her and turned back to Jace...she didn't want to allow him out of her sight.

"They are going to hurt me, please don't leave" she pleaded to grip him tightly on the wrist.

"It's fine, I'll just be a few steps away, nothing will happen to you, no one is going to hurt you, I'll be watching you over there...he pointed at the window.

"Just stay with me, Jace, please" Bedelia hated the thought of being in this torture room alone but at the same time, she felt helpless.

"Jace...the voice called again and they both turned to see her walking right toward them. "Jace, can't be here with you, Miss Bedelia, he could wait outside"

"It's fine, just give it a few minutes more and all this would be over" she finally nodded and let go of his arm, Jace smiled and bent over to kiss her forehead

"I'll be waiting for you outside" Bedelia was scared when he left her and she had to clench her fist and let his words soothe her, he was just outside and this would be over soon.

Jace heard her scream, and even though he wasn't allowed to go in, he couldn't stand her getting hurt or angry, knowing perfectly well how uncontrollable she was whenever she was in that state.

She was always ready to hurt anybody except me whenever she was in a sour mood. the doctor had told us, it was a psychological problem and it has made everyone at the orphanage avoid her but no matter what I'm not going to leave her...
