What to say? What to say? The most generic of generic stories. - powerful CEO with no known relation to the FL taking an interest in her the moment he sees her? CHECK - powerful CEO insistent on marrying only the FL? CHECK - deal between the powerful CEO and FL for money in exchange for marriage? CHECK - "warm currents" in the heart, "electricity" at his touch, blushing "when she met his eyes"? CHECK - dubious consent? CHECK! - white lotus half-sister stealing FL's former boyfriend? CHECK - former boyfriend regretting his choice? CHECK - terrible family who treat the FL like scum? CHECK - mysteriously injured sister who needs medical treatment urgently (and hence the FL needs money)? CHECK - loyal best friend who helps the FL fight verbal wars with former boyfriend? CHECK - loving in-laws who are extremely concerned about the powerful CEO's marriage prospects? CHECK ...Generic plots are common because they work. They have a lot of popular elements in them, and this *could* have been a good story, but the author squandered the chances by: - thinking that bankruptcy could happen in a day (you have to file for bankruptcy. It takes time, not least to sell of all of your assets) - thinking that working at a bar is the fastest way to earn money - thinking that working at a bar FOR ONE DAY is the worst thing on Earth - thinking that the FL surviving without close family members FOR THREE DAYS constitutes amazing life survival skills - in general not having a good grasp on the timeline of the story - forgetting fairly obvious details (ML and FL shared the same bed once, and the ML hugging the FL has "already become a habit" -_- you know, habits are built up over time?) - thinking that the FL falling in love with the ML in give-or-take a week is acceptable - thinking that the ML forcing the FL to have sex is acceptable Overall, it's a poorly written knock-off of a super generic average story. Yes, you can read it. Yes, it could (potentially) be addictive. But why bother when there's something with basically the same plot that's better written?
The story ending is not my cup of tea.. for love each one sacrifices for the other but in the end all parties suffer from love.. those bad person ruins the happiness that suppose to be for the ML n FL due to jealousy, hated, revenge, also being used in the plot.. Good friends ended up being enemy.. FL innocent being destroyed due to her stupidity and kind hearted leading her unable to have happy ending.. sad but true a lot twist n turn in the story plot..
Love this so far. Nothing too crazy with the baddies and the story is quite enjoyable so far. Enjoying watching the FL slowly coming out of her shell with the ML. I hope this gets picked up soon! I thoroughly enjoyed reading the first 60 chapters and I look forward to reading more sometime soon, hopefully!
