Nora's POV 4

The woman entered the wooden house, from the exterior it was small but nicely structured; it was designed as per townhouse requirement if the estimate was not wrong the house worth more than what Nora could imagine its price; to have a small house with fine appearance in the town was treasure in itself, depending on the location Nora could use it for commercial purposes too.

There was only one table and two chairs placed in the middle and few papers were already there which was a little suspicious for anyone but not for Nora, she did not notice this detail. The handsome young man wearing the tattered clothing thought to wait outside and sense what was going inside first. The women pre planned everything for the little girl.

The lush woman sat on the chair with a sway of her gown and the air of superiority; from her action to her words everything showed how generous she was to lowly people despite being rich. Nora could read whatever was written on any paper so she extended her hand to pick the papers but suddenly the woman dragged the papers away from her.

"I can only give this house to you as an expression of my generosity; only because my maid means your late mother has not only been loyal but a very diligent housekeeper." She shook her shoulders, "Don't ever think that I am giving you this because I have any sympathy for you…" she glared Nora.

If Nora was given liberty of speech she would have asked 'does every house lady give houses to her loyal maids?' but her words and questions remained stuck in her throat when she looked at the parcel which was hanging and peeking through the side pouch. "Milady! It is fortunate that my mother was serving such a generous lady: I only wish to see the papers with a glance and then sign; I hope it would not displease you…" Nora spoke very mannerly, there was tiny hope in her flickering emotions that perhaps by reading the paper she might get some clue about her parents.

"Are you doubting my goodwill?" out of sudden movement the lady stood up with fierce showering eyes, she looked greatly annoyed and displeased. This made Nora shocked as to which part of her request angered the lady.

Nora trembled with her voice full of ire, "I did not mean it." She shook her head as if ready to cry. The lady saw her petite figure and smirked, the only purpose to bring this girl here was to kill her before the town mayor could get to know about Nora and whether she was alive, it was pity that she planned to kill in this part of the town and then set this house on fire; with the girl being dead and burnt to ashes in this place; there would be no more clue about her life anymore.

But she was clueless that someone was standing outside: according to the plan the gamblers whom the woman hired to kill the girl came and entered the house without knocking; if the woman killed her she might not be able to wash away the blood from her hands though she cleaned them again and again and sooner or later the town mayor would be able to dig out the facts this she don't want to happen. So it was better to hire people for this killing.

Nora turned to see the aggressive looking men, they were wearing old fashioned waistcoats of wool. "Handle her well, I am leaving." The woman waved her hand and there was a strong resentment on her face. When she exited from the house alone the young man was already expecting something shady.

He let her go and then entered the house. Nora was struggling and moving her legs and hands to get rid from those rascals but it turned out that she was too weak to leave any harm to them. "Let her go and I won't break your bones." The young man who just entered the house saw the girl struggling and warned the men.

"As if we are going to listen to you…" one of them gave a mad laugh at this warning. They can't bother a man when they are large in numbers and how much harm a farmer could give them in head on? They were sure that he randomly ended up there.

"I said let the girl leave…" the young man stepped ahead and gritted. Nora wide opened her eyes to see the mute man reached in this situation; perhaps he wanted to help her but it was not so easy to get rid of these men, they seemed aggressive and cruel.

"Who are you to order us?" one of the men came with large strides to kick the young man between his legs, this was the normal way of them dealing with crook head people when they were about to kill someone. As he came rushing; the young man extended his hand and grabbed the leg which was about to hit, a strong surge of cold travel through his hand and the leg which he was holding started to freeze not visible to the naked eye; the bones froze immediately and the man fell, he was stronger among the group.

The other man slapped the girl who was still struggling and Nora rammed against the table; her head collided with the wooden corner of the table.

The young man walked ahead and the others surrounded him immediately sensing that he was troublemaker; he could let the frost freeze them at once but he can't do so presently, the inner wounds were healing very slowly and if he used his attribute it would hinder his healing.

He wrapped his long arms around them and rendered them helpless with a small effort. The gamblers who initially thought to get a lot of money by killing the petite girl were in awe and could not figure out what was happening. The young man ran to grab the girl and left the wooden house before the whole gang stood up again and bother them moreover the girl was bleeding from her forehead and his first priority was to save her.

They ran toward the broken road from where they could leave the town in a hurry.
