1 Vol.1/Chapter 1: Prologue

Mysterious Woman's POV (18 years ago):

"Pant, Pant, Pant, I swear I'm gonna save you. I'm not gonna lose you too.", I am already running for hours but I guess, guilt, anger and hatred would never let you escape.

"Catch that witch! Catch that defiled elven princess! Bring me her head!", the words of angry elven and hellspawn creatures echoes through the woods, following me.

Ever since I've made that mistake, I don't know how to redeem myself.

And if I ever get corrupted, I swear, I'm not gonna let you in this mess, my sweet, little Luca.

Swish-thunk~ Arrows and spears from every direction flew to me as they try to catch me. But I will never ever stop, at least after our child is safe.

"Catch that fake goddess! She should never live! Destroying the peace of our land just for that worthless child!", our pursuers drops some sick remarks on my child and I will never ever accept that!

"Moonlight Sonata!", I faced the wrath of the people and fired of a beam of moonlight to my pursuers. Instead of making them stop, they just become more angry and they just keep on coming.

And then, I see hope...

Lights emanating from a direction, probably from a wagon, can be seen from afar. This maybe my chance to save what is left of me. I blocked the angry people trying to catch me using the spell Ice Wall. This gave me some time to catch up to the wagon without noticing it.

By some luck, the wagon also stops from moving and that's when I saw the sign.

"Slave Trader", the thing that could save my child is selling him as a slave. My motherly instincts cannot accept that I would make this fate for my child but also the other half of myself thinks that this is the only way to save him.

"Woman, what are you doing in my wagon? You do know I'm a slave trader right?", a drunken old man steps out from the coach seat and approaches me.

"I-I want to sell my s-son. I don't know what to do anymore. Please save him.", I begged to the old man to accept my son even as the lowest hierarchy of this world.

"Woman, this is a goddamn baby. I could never *burp* accept this.", the man tries to convince me.

"Please, I'm begging you. Just take my child!", I was swept from the floor and cried, thinking that this is the last choice I could make for my son.

"F-fine *sniff* two copper, take it or leave it.", the man handed me two coins for my baby but I refused it.

"I don't need any amount of money! Just please, take care of my child! and before that...", I wrote the name of my child in a language only my loyal followers can read. Even the old man didn't know what just happened but decided to forget about it.

"And I know, this boy right here will someday change this world. Take care of him for me, I might never repay my sins anymore.", I left my final goodbyes and kissed the forehead of my son with tears in my eyes. I adjusted my robe and decided to let go.

"I-I hope you make the right decision, woman.", the slave trader went up to the seat and drives towards the nearest human city. "Hyaah!"

The hooves of the horses clatter on the ground as the coach of the slave trader slowly fades out my sight. My son...My everything...I hope after all of this, you could hear my story again and forgive me. I'll try to be alive and guide you the best I can from afar.

My Ice Wall broke down as hellspawns, elvens and humans alike try to catch me with all they can, seething with anger and despair from all my sins.

I'll miss you, my dearest Luca...Please be safe.
