------

After defeating Whitney the previous day and retiring to his hotel with his traveling companions that now also included Courtney, Death certainly had not expected that after actually deciding to sleep for a night amidst a pile of his lovers, only to wake up to a notification like that

Death sighed and accepted the quest, seeing no choice in the matter, though it pissed him off internally, since he loved two versions of Ruby, Neo, and Weiss, and didn't want either of them to disappear.

Well, technically they would both become one entity, it seemed, but he still felt a sense of loss from that. Even so, though, it had to be done, so he mentally selected Shizue Izawa, Rory Mercury and his wife Weiss, who he thought were the only ones that could possibly be helpful from the current Dimensional Chat group, but something weird happened when he tried to select his wife. It turned out that she was not eligible since there was already a version of her in that world already, a limitation that the system had not told him about until he tried to select her name and it just disappeared, causing him to accidentally selected Lefiya Viridiis, to his absolute horror.

What could an 7 year old Loli elf who hadn't even received a falna yet do? He tried to cancel the choice, but it was too late "Shit." he muttered before disappearing from the pile of beautiful women and arriving in the Dimensional Chat Group waiting room, where Rory Mercury, Shizue Izawa, and Lefiya Viridis had also appeared, with Lefiya looking confused.

"We got a Dimensional Chat Group Quest. I tried to add Weiss as the third but she was not eligible so I accidentally added Lefiya. I'm afraid it ups the difficulty a little bit, but we will have to protect Lefiya." Death explained to Rory and Shizue.

Both Rory and Shizue nodded, and the latter knelt and picked up Lefiya to better protect her. Even though Shizue had no children of her own, her motherly instincts were still top notch. Since they had never entered a chat Group Quest before, she instinctively worried that they might get split up. Death would be very grateful for her intuition later.

Time was up and they left the waiting room and went to Remnant : JPDE.

------

Death opened his eyes and found himself in a crater, and spotted a familiar ginger seated on the edge of the crater.

"Hello." Death said to this worlds Penny.

"Salutations, Sky man. Are you a bad guy?" Penny asked

"No, Penny, I'm not a bud guy" Death chuckled "My name is Death Rose, and I am your closest friend in the version of Remnant I come from."

"You speak of Parallel Universe Theory?" Penny asked with amazement "You said we are the closest of friends?"

"I helped the other you in my world to become human and you ended up becoming one of my wives." Death insisted, smugly, and took out his scroll and opened it to his album, and switched photo's until he came to one of him and Penny with their daughter Aurora between them "The child is Aurora, the biological daughter of myself and my worlds Penny. I'd say that is pretty close, right?"

Penny looked as though she had just been told the most amazing thing, but recovered when she say him hop out of the crater and grasp her hand, then ran away with her "Penny, did anyone else appear near me?" he asked, concerned about Rory, Shizue, and Lefiya "I did not come to this dimension alone, there should have been three others."

"Negative, friend Death Rose." Penny insisted "Speaking of which, are you connected to friend Ruby?"

"In my Remnant, I was adopted by her mother, and I also married her when we grew up, after the whole saving the world thing." Death explained to Penny "I hope that those three are alright."

------

Shizue and Lefiya appeared together, which was fortunate since they were near a small village being attacked by Grimm. Regretfully, she lacked any understanding of the mission at the moment, so she did not know what was the right thing to do when it came to the mission, but regardless she could not stand back and do nothing while people died.

Using one arm to hold Lefiya close, she brandished her sword and her fire magic with her other arm/hand to slaughter grimm and to try to save as many people as she could..

------

Death ended up bringing Penny to Beacon Academy and went up to Ozpin's office, not even giving Glynda Goodwitch time to find him. As such, only Ozpin and General Ironwood were present.

"Hello children, Welcome to Beacon Academy. I am Ozpin, the Headmaster." Ozpin greeted them, and looked at Death, seemingly knowingly "You caused a bit of a spectacle today, young man."

"We meet again, Headmaster" Death chuckled "Though for you it is the first time"

Ozpin seemed confused.

"I come from a parallel universe, another Remnant." Death explained to Ozpin "I seek a means of protecting my world from being erased my the brother gods, since they seem to not like parallel worlds that form from the 'Prime' Remnant. Since my world is such a world, it may eventually be erased from existence, and I don't want that. This world is also a parallel world, but it has a unique quality that makes it unable to be destroyed by the brothers."

"What quality is that?" Ozpin asked.

"Well, firstly, the brothers are not the only gods in existence, and the other gods and goddesses sometimes send people between worlds, some for chaos and others to help save the worlds." Death explained to Ozpin "My siblings and I served our purpose in our original world, so the god overseeing that universe sent us to Remnant to help out, 'paying forward' a debt from another god who sent a hero to help our universe. We appeared in Remnant Prime, immediately causing the creation of a new universe we call Remnant Darksiders, while Remnant Prime was remade and reset. It turns out that the brothers took steps against such transmigraters, and the brothers indiscriminately destroy the parallel Remnants regardless of whether or not the transmigraters in them did good or bad. My world is free of Salem, while you repeat the same year over and over again with your memories resetting. Even if they could destroy this world, it would reset over and over again, but this world also has a created 'third brother' that prevents them from even trying."

"You know of Salem, and you beat her? How?" Ozpin asked, stunned.

"Her curse is bound to her soul. I used my soul magic to extract her soul and to attach it into the artificial body I created as a baby, which caused her soulless body to rampage, but when it was defeated it could not regenerate without her soul" Death explained to Ozpin nonchalantly "Baby Salem, untainted by the pools of destruction, was raised in a loving family and was able to break the curse upon herself as she grew up She is simple a kind-hearted young girl now. While she knows of what her original self did, she does not carry those memories. Everything that made Salem the threat she once was is gone, and now she is a great hero and huntress in her new life."

Ozpin was shocked when he heard Death's solution "B...but..."

"Jinn said YOU could not beat her, not that she was unbeatable." Death insisted to Ozpin "And you could have beaten her if you did your job immediately rather then delaying it to have a family. All you had to do was exactly what the brother of Light said to do, which was convince her to understand the true purpose and value of life and death, and that it should not be trivially tampered with. If you had tried to convince her right away back then rather then becoming distracted, you could have resolved the conflict bloodlessly. Now, it might be possible to reason with her, or it might not, but it is definitely impossible for you to reason her, because of the untense rage she feels towards you, which is why Jinn said what she said."

"Can you substantiate your claims, young man?" General Ironwood asked.

Death glanced at Ironwood and grinned "I am the guardian of these." he explained and retrieved two relics of creation from his inventory into each hand "From my Remnant as well s Remnant Prime. The one of this Remnant is still in it's vault securely."

"You said there is a third brother but only in this world? Why?" General Ironwood asked.

"Well, like I said, the brothers created a situation where any attempt by foreign gods or goddesses to intervene in Remnant, for good or bad, protects the 'Prime' Remnant from that influence. I can't say how this micro universe was created, but I can speculate that maybe a god sent someone to help, unaware of the measures that the brothers had used, like how the god that sent my siblings and I did not know about these measures, and that would-be hero may have ended up in a parallel universe that the brothers erased." Death suggested "This is pure speculation, but I can imagine that creating a universe just so that they can't destroy it as a fuck you to them is possible. It could be something completely different, but the fact that they have apparently erased a lot of Remnant's and killed a lot of people that were sent to help. Well, not just killed them, but completely erased them from existence, because they only care about their 'Prime' universe and are xenophobic towards those sent by other gods."

"And how are you intending to save your world, and will it be dooming our world?" Ozpin asked with concern.

Death held out his hand and a hilt with no blade attached to it appeared "I'll use this to capture the third brother and bring it to my Remnant. This Hilt belongs to the Sword of Edicts, the blade of which is in my worlds Atlas. It is a godly relic that contains the divinity of a certain deceased god, who was a stalwart defender of mortals and an advocate of peace and Neutrality. The Sword of Edicts will slow down their efforts to erase my world, but wont stop it. When I capture the third brother and send him to my Remnant, the current loop you are caught in will end and the two worlds will fuse into one. The people that exist in one world only will appear in the fused world, while those that exist in both worlds will find themselves with two sets of memories. Oh, and this world wont be erased by the fusion either, regrettably it may still reset again and return to it's original state, but at least the people in this iteration of your Remnant will escape the cycle. Even if you do what the brothers told you now, they wont come back and help your world. Your best chance is to let me use this to fuse the worlds. Oh, and even though your worlds past has been altered, there are still enough similarities for my future knowledge to help you out."

"He also has photograph's on his scroll." Penny suggested

Death smiled at Penny "Yeah, just family photo's, but that will actually help as well." he returned one relic to his inventory and then accessed his album and looked through the album and found a particular picture with him, Ruby, Yang, Taiyang, Qrow, Summer and Raven, and showed it to Ozpin and Ironwood, then he smiled at Penny "I'll show you more of them later, Penny. And these staves are what I'll use to keep my promise to you." he then returned the remaining relic to his inventory.

"What promise?" Ironwood asked with confusion.

"Obviously making her human like her counterparts in my Remnant and Remnant Prime" Death told Ironwood "By the way, in both worlds, Penny became the Winter Maiden in the future, so there is a little advise for you. Not that it matters once the world's fuse. Both Penny's will merge into one and she'll be the Winter Maiden either way." he then looked at Ozpin "I did not come to this world alone. My companions on this trip were Shizue Izawa, who is known as the Conqueror of the Flames because of her powerful fire magic, Rory Mercury, a demigoddess of death who is a battle junkie, and we accidentally brought Lefiya Viridis. She is a seven year old girl and a member of the elven race. I never wanted to bring an innocent on this quest. The third I meant to bring was my worlds Weiss Schnee, but it did not work and Lefiya ended up following instead. I could use some help finding them and especially with protecting Lefiya. Her title is Thousand Elf because she has the potential to use all elven magics, though she hasn't even started training yet and she is vulnerable now."

"So, what should we do with you for now then?" Ozpin asked him with curiosity.

"Well, in my world technically I already graduated from Beacon and became a licensed Huntsman, but for now I should follow the intended course of the creator of this parallel world. My entry appears to have replaced David Di Kabegis, who was supposed to be the one in the meteor." Death explained to Ozpin "You would have assigned Penny to his team, because unlike me, he would have suffered from lack of any memories and you believed she could help ground him as his first friend. Additionally, you assigned Evelyn Damerot and Jack Ivory to his team, assigning Jack as the leader. I did my research before coming in."

He had stopped aging at 17 years old so he could still pass for a Beacon student, so this wasn't an issue. "I can pass for being 17 since I stopped aging at that point thanks to a combination of my species and my semblance."

"Why would you want to be a student if you are qualified to be a huntsman?" Ozpin asked with curiosity.

"I studied the world a lot and know the villains here well." Death insisted "Since David Di Kabegis did not appear in this iteration and was replaced by me, I need to take his role to bait in the villains, two of whom are very reluctant and would have been persuaded to change sides by the person I replaced. I want to save them. Sure, I could do the job fine without saving them, but if they died because I was too cautious I'd regret it, and I don't want to have regrets. I want to do everything at least as good as he would have done it, and when possible, I'll do it much better since I have information he did not."

"Who are these two that you want to save?" Ironwood was the one curious now.

"They call themselves Thilla and Bella. Thilla is 13 years old and was formerly known as Isabella Ivory, and was abducted by the assassin Marcus Black and believed dead, when in reality she was delivered, along with an older girl, to followers of the Third Brother, who swapped their bodies souls, with Isabella placed into the older girls body while the older girls soul was placed into the body now known as Bella. While Thilla's body is stable, Bella's is not, and they are forced to depend on 'the Master' for Bella to remain alive. Thilla could easily walk away, but she carries guilt over Bella's suffering. She might be in an older body now, but inside she is a little girl who feels like she caused Bella's suffering, and so she obeys." Death explained to Ironwood "Originally, it would have been coincidence, or maybe you could call it fate, that Isabella's older sister was placed on the team of the person I replaced, but now I ask you to still form this team, and rather then lying to Jack, I suggest you tell her the truth that he now believe her sister may be alive and in Vale. Your paranoia and distrust because of David's mysterious origins combined with the fact that Jack learned her sister was alive through actually meeting her, made Jack very untrusting towards you. She never went down an evil path, but her team started butting heads with you quite a lot because of that distrust, and things would be far simpler if we could all just work together. Lets try being open and honest from the beginning, and no sneaky behind the scenes things like impeding Penny from returning to Beacon and separating her from her scroll so that she cannot be contacted so that her teammates rush to Vale out of concern for her well-being, so that you are given a convenient excuse to restrict our movements. This is a team capable of handling all the threats coming to Vale and Beacon this year. And Vale is just the beginning. After Ozpin dies in the fall of Beacon, Haven will fall within a year after that, and less then a year after that Atlas and Mantle would have been completely destroyed if you followed the original course of events, though that may not be true for this world do to General Ironwood's semblance being different in this world."

"My semblance is different? You are implying that I caused the destruction of Atlas and Mantle in those other worlds?" Ironwood asked with concern.

"Only in Remnant Prime. It never came to that in my world." Death insisted to Ironwood "Your semblance in the other Remnants is called Mettle, and it allows your mind to singlemindedly focus on what you believe to be the most efficient way to accomplish any task you set your mind on. After the fall of Beacon and then the betrayal of Leonardo Lionheart and the fall of Haven, combine with much of the world blaming you and Atlas for the attack on Vale, you started relying too much on your semblance to persevere, since you had been cut off from anyone you could respect as an equal and had to deal with so much alone. With your semblance controlling your actions, you became a heartless dictator to protect the people, and when an army you couldn't beat came to Atlas, you tried to abandon the people of the rest of Remnant in order to save just the people of Atlas. Your plan failed, though, and Atlas dropped on top of Mantle, destroying both, because you believed your plan had the best chance of saving some people and ignored any other suggestions."

"Can you prove this as well?" Ironwood asked with concern, disturbed by what he had been told about this other version of himself.

Death used his scroll and brought of a video with an older Ruby from Remnant Prime delivering a speech to all of Remnant,. telling them what was happening in Atlas, about Salem, about the maidens, the relics and about how Salem had manipulated the white fang, the atlesian knights, and even the grimm. She referred to how General Ironwood could no longer be trusted, but that the people of Remnant could trust Professor Theodore of Shade and Professor Goodwitch of Beacon and under them organize a comeback.

"We didn't have time to prepare for Salem, but now you do. Just because she can't be destroyed doesn't mean she can't be beaten. If she really was unstoppable she wouldn't have acted with such caution until now. She knows we're a threat, so even if we...Even if Atlas falls, you can't give up! I hope Amity Tower will help bring us all together, because in the end that's how we'll win!" the older Ruby concluded the speech and the video ended.

"Does that convince you, General?" Death asked him.

"I don't want to believe it, but even I can't deny it after seeing that." Ironwood looked at Ozpin "Lets cooperate with the young man."

Ozpin could only nod in agreement "Very well. I'll let Miss Ivory and Miss Damerot know and bring them here for your new team."

Death then looked at Penny "Now with that done, lets head to the Amphitheater and make you a human, alright?"

"Really?" Penny asked him excitedly.

"Really." Death grasped Penny's hand and started leading her there immediately. Beacon was on break, so there shouldn't be very active there at the moment.

------

Time froze while Death was using the relic of creation, so it hadn't taken them any time really for Penny to be remade as a real girl, gaining the appearance of her volume 7 and 8 self. She was quite cheerful after the transformation and was full of hugs. Death did not mind her hugging him as Penny was a total sweetheart no matter what world she was in and he couldn't resist loving every incarnation of her that he met. Just like his wife, Penny, this one was light and soft to the touch, and holding her felt incredible.

Eventually they parted and Penny started looking over herself more "Wow, this is so amazing! I can't wait to tell father!"

Death nodded and smiled at her as he returned the relic of creation to his inventory "Well, shall we head towards the Beacon dormitories?" he suggested and started walking with her.

Thinking back to what he knew of this world, he was not surprised on their walk when he spotted Penny looking around for something or someone "Hey Penny?" he asked.

"Yes Friend Death?" Penny stopped and turned to face him.

"Why don't you tell me about your friend Ruby, lets see how she compares to the Ruby I know." he suggested as he spotted Ruby come from around a corner down the hall and approached behind Penny..

"E-excuse me?" Penny seemed genuinely surprised by the question.

He just grinned at Penny, who blushed.

"Well...Ruby is shorter then me, she has silver eyes and dark hair with red highlights." Penny announced while grinning at Ruby behind Penny. "When I first met her I thought she might have a skin condition but it was really just her natural skin pigment in some weird lighting."

"I'm sure she's absolutely gorgeous" Death insisted.

"Well, she's not that pale. It's more the contrast between her skin and the black and red she typically wears that accentuates her skin and makes her seem more pale then she is. I think she may benefit from a more variegated outfit occasionally. One of her teammates has a great fashion sense! I think she could make some great suggestions about..."

"No! Nonono! I do not need fashion advice from Weiss! And my combat skirt is awesome!" Ruby insisted.

"Ruby!!" Penny called out enthusiastically and suddenly pounced on Ruby and hugged her, but since she was a real human now, Ruby wasn't overwhelmed by Penny's weight and knocked down like she would have been if the original Penny had pounced on her.

Ruby returned the hug "Penny, what happened to you? You seem different."

"Yeah, Friend Death helped me a lot." Penny gestured to Death as they both parted from the hug.

Ruby looked at Death and hmmmed "Your name is Death. That's a weird name."

"Death Rose. It's a pleasure to meet this Remnant's Ruby" Death introduced himself cheerfully "Parallel universes are real, and I've visited a couple of them now, but that's a secret. You were asked to show us to our room?"

Ruby nodded, verifying that just like in the JPDE story, she had been sent, though sh was pretty confused about what Death had said.

"I can show you some video's on my scroll once we get to that room" Death offered to Ruby, planning to get her into the room and to show her a video of their wedding, as he couldn't think of anything better to convince her.

Unlike Ozpin, he was inclined towards just telling the people he cared about the truth, as he was confident in his ability to handle any issues his trust might bring, and he just didn't feel being paranoid suited him at all.

He readied his scroll and accompanied Penny and Ruby, and when they reached the room, Death invited Ruby inside. Ruby actually blushed and looked embarrassed, but still agreed and stepped inside.

The whole way to the room, Ruby had been scrutinizing him, though he gave it no thought, but before he could speak, she suddenly came close to him "hmm... hmmmm..."

Ruby suddenly thrust out with her right arm and poked his chest with her pointer finger.

"Yes?" Death asked, chuckling as he suddenly recalled that his weapon wasn't visible.

"As Penny's first friend at Vale and as the leader of Team RWBY, the coolest Amalgam of future Huntresses currently at Beacon, I have to inform you that you seem lacking as her future teammate." Ruby insisted.

"Lacking?" Death asked, playing along with Ruby, because why not?

"Because you lack something that I need to see! To fully evaluate you! Also I may be a bit curious" Ruby insisted.

"So you want to see my weapons?" Death finally cut straight to the chase and grinned.

"How do you know?" Ruby was quite surprised when he guessed that.

"In my Remnant, I was your adopted brother and eventually became your husband, Ruby, so it is natural that I know you very well." Death insisted and showed her his scroll "Want to see the video of our wedding?"

"But before, you were talking about me with Penny" Ruby was managing to feel even more embarrassed then before.

"I sensed you coming so I goofed off a bit to help you surprise Penny" Death insisted "I distracted her so that you could sneak up on her, so it went according to plan."

"Le....le...lemme see the video" Ruby requested while taking a seat on one of the beds.

Death nodded and sat directly beside Ruby and held his scroll in front of them and played the video.

Ruby squirmed a bit in her position since a handsome boy was beside her, but relaxed and was filled with awe when the video started, and even cried when she realized that her mother was at the wedding in the video.

"M....mom..." Ruby said, filled with shock.

"Even in this parallel world, Summer Rose, your mother, is not dead. She wasn't able to return to you, but she's not dead, and you'll get the chance to be reunited with her in the future" he reassured her.

"R...really?" Ruby asked, looking at him, her eyes filled with hope.

"Ruby, as someone I love and trust completely, of course I'll tell you all I know, and work with you to save this Remnant" Death wrapped his free arm around Ruby's waist to comfort her.

Ruby stopped paying attention to the video and just had a nice cry on his shoulder for a little while, though he never complained and just sat there with complete patience until she finished letting out the emotions she needed to get out.

"W...weapons..." Ruby said, finally recovering enough to return to her previous desire to see his weapons.

Death kissed the top of Ruby's head then he made his Duel Handguns, Ebony and Ivory, appear in his hands "First up are these guns, which are called 'Ebony and Ivory', and though they look simple, that is deceptive, as they are quite powerful magic equipment that does not rely on dust. They can convert aura into demonic energy and demonic energy into their own bullets and can be fired at a rapid pace"

He naturally answered all of her questions and then showed her his Duel Scythes, which were called Desolation, his giant maul called his Decimating Hammer, his own huge Scythe, which was called 'the Harvester' and finally his obscenely advanced lightsaber-type weapon that was also a vibro-scythe where the blade could be covered with force energy in the same manner as a lightsaber at will.

He hadn't gotten much chance to use this weapon since he left the Star Wars Universe, but Ruby seemed to be completely in love with it when she saw it and she asked him many questions, which he answered to the best of his abilities, even taking it apart with her and showing her the core components, most of which she could vaguely comprehend as a weapons genius, though the Krayt Dragon Pearl and the cyan-colored Kyber crystal called 'Mantle of the Force' were beyond her present comprehension.

Well, the physics of the Star Wars universe and the items that came from it had been a bit difficult for him to comprehend as well, sine these two items used force energy naturally in order to defy the common sense of the world of Remnant to a certain extent, so it was natural that Ruby failed to grasp it right away, though he promised to try to help train her more later.

Penny was pretty quiet during this time, but Death could tell she was learning as well, so he went on and on as long as they seemed interested, and soon enough the door opened and a faunus girl with pink hair, purple eyes, and white rabbit ears entered.

"Ah, Evelyn, welcome." Death greeted her cheerfully. "Come, I wish to have no secrets from my teammates and friends, so freely use your semblance on me if you want too." he already knew certain fact, like his first life as a human, or specific details he'd witnessed in the RWBY JPDE instant dungeon, would not be revealed, but she'd be able to see his system, his abilities, and the different worlds he had been too and the things he had experienced in them with her semblance.

Evelyn shrugged and set down her suitcases next to a bed and came over to stand directly in from of Death and stared straight into his eyes with hers.

"Huh?" Ruby seemed confused by what Evelyn was doing.

Death chuckled "She's using her semblance to read my past and the details of my mission here. It's fine, Ruby, I gave her permission after all."

Ruby nodded in acceptance, and she and Penny both watched Evelyn with curiosity as several minutes past, until finally she finished reading all she could and she fell forward and straight into Death's arms.

"The memories were probably too much for her and she exhausted herself, but she'll be fine." he reassured Ruby and Penny before getting up and carrying Evelyn over to the bed she seemed to have selected and carefully laid her upon it.

When he played through the JPDE instance dungeon, he had contemplated coming to this world and collecting the soul of the third brother, but while he knew it was possible, he had not deemed it necessary, so he probably never would have come here at all if not for the Dimensional Chat Group Quest. While he knew that the brother gods may have been protective of their 'Prime' world somewhat, he certainly hadn't suspected that they would destroy other Parallel Universes

He had to admit, though, that he was a bit curious when it came to Evelyn. She was a person that did not exist in other versions of Remnant, having been created exclusively for this world, but she was still a real person. When he met a representation of her in his Instance Dungeon, he thought she was cute and seemed to be alright, but there was a level of detachment for him because he knew that Evelyn was not real like this one before him

He was not David De Kabegis, and he had no plot armor that perfectly concealed his past from her semblance, so he did not know whether or not she would fall in love with him as she would have fallen for David, but he was willing to wait and see, and if she did, he would do his best to make her happy.

He had grown accustomed to accepting his instinct to return love to those that loved him, and did not imagine that would change when it came to Evelyn. It also did not hurt at all that her figure, like most huntresses, was outstanding. She was certainly a beauty that would turn heads.

After composing himself, Death returned to the bed where Ruby and Penny were seated and resumed teaching them about lightsaber technology and the Force.

When Ruby returned to her room and Penny and Evelyn went to sleep, Death sat on his bed and looked at his available summons again, and was surprised when he saw Beta Ray Bill, which said it was possible to incarnate with himself. None of the previous summons had been compatible with him, so he hadn't been certain if he could incarnate with anyone and get a strength boost, but now it seemed he could.

Now that he had confirmed it was possible, he brought out the 'Random Incarnate Ticket' that he had gotten from his system after beating Whitney. He had been wondering who to use it on, but now that he knew he could incarnate to himself, he decided to try his luck and do just that.

Death tore the ticket in half and waited to see what his system would reveal, but after several minutes he had received no pop-up. He had just started wondering whether or not he had messed it up somehow when suddenly he was no longer in his new bed and was standing in a beautiful garden that seemed to have an eastern vibe to it, with what possibly resembled a very ornate shinto temple nearby.

Outside of the temple, seated at a table and sipping tea, was a gorgeous young woman in a kimono. Leaning against her small table was an ornate wagasa that seemed to match well the beauties gorgeous kimono along with her long and silky purple hair and her purple eyes. Her skin was without flaw, and she could easily be called a kingdom-toppling beauty, with this being even more exaggerated by the tranquil aura she emitted.

"Please join me" the beauty smiled in his direction before pouring a second cup of tea for him in a very elegant and flawless manner.

Death was surprised by the woman's flawless appearance and her gorgeous body. While he had many lovers and wives, he could typically control his own emotions at first, at least until they fell in love with him, but in the case of this woman he had only just seen her once and he started feeling lust.

Even if he felt immense lust towards her, though, he refused to let it dictate his actions, so he composed himself and came to take a seat across from her "Hello. My name is Death."

"Hello, Death. You may call me Makoto" the woman replied to him cheerfully "It's been such a long time since I've had anyone to speak too, so I pray it is not too much of an imposition to ask you to humor my request for conversation?" she requested.

Death merely smiled, becoming even more convinced of her sincerity as she spoke. This was not only a kingdom-toppling beauty, but also one with an untainted and pure heart, so it was no wonder that he instinctively felt lust towards her.

"Hello Makoto. I don't mind. In fact, I'd like to know more about your past" Death suggested "Where do you come from?"

"The past is the past, and it is not healthy to dwell upon it too much" the beauty called Makoto retorted "I lived, I met my death when it came and accepted what happened, seeing no point in having regrets. I am much more interested in you, Death. You are such a fascinating man."

Death was surprised that she knew she died and yet her words were nonchalant, with no bitterness or regret at all, just acceptance. This just made her seem even more mysterious to Death, and made him internally question where she came from, but he decided to give her what she wanted and to tell her about himself, and maybe occasionally slip in a question about her to fish for more details, though he had started to suspect that she was a mortal from a cultivation world, because otherwise why would he have felt no gain to himself from incarnating her.

Rolling a random character with combability to him, it shouldn't have been too unsurprising if he incarnated a common-tier summon, but he still had no regrets, since her appearance and character were top notch, and he already respected her.

Besides that, he was already immensely powerful, so while a power-up would have been nice, it certainly was not necessary.

Death spoke to her all night until morning, when he finally disappeared from his mindscape, leaving the mysterious beauty alone "He seems nice enough, but is he worthy or inheriting my strength?" she asked no one in particular.

While Death had assumed his lack of growth was because she had been weak, it was the opposite, really. Her strength was so immense that the system could not incarnate it at all unless she allowed it to happen, and so Makoto had chosen to get to know him and decide.

She feared neither death nor obliteration, but her mind had started considering a last request that she might pass on to Death if she found him to be worthy "Sister, I hope you were able to recover from my death and protect our people."

hopefully there are no major typos this time but wanted to get this up before going to bed, so I'll re-read it tomorrow and fix anything that I might have messed up at that time.

By the way, obciously he knows the plot of JPDE and is overpowered as heck, so while this Dimensional chat groupo quest will be a few chapters, it will not be a full arc, since he can skip to resolving the arc as soon as he completed his first two tasks that he needs to work on. Chat group quests will just be occasionally stepping away from a world to visit a different world, and they will not happen right after each other or anything, but will have a considerable time skip between each mission.
