Chapter 2

Jess left the room and accidentally shut the door a little too loud making Chris recall the nightmare all over again. "I hope this nightmare has nothing to do with the mansion." he said to himself thinking about how his sixth sense seemed to be warning him about the mansion they were moving into.

"Chris, get down here already. The car is ready and loaded and all it needs now is you and I!" hollered Chris' mum playfully as Chris got out of his room. She turned and saw him smiling roguishly. He heeded her words and went down the stairs, almost tripping over a broken stair.

Chris and his mum, Genevieve-or Eve as most called her- made their way to the car which Jess was already seated in. They got onboard and began their journey to the mansion, their new home.

"Am I the only one who feels that?" asked Chris subtly looking around.

"feels what?" Jess questioned looking confused. She was busy chatting with her best friend Hailey who mum had suggested she invite for a sleepover at the mansion for the first few nights.

"I'm not sure...I feel a weird kind of death glare being directed at me but I don't know where it's coming from." stated Chris apprehensively.
