Death by Desire: A Vampire-Lycan Love Story

Cora is unique among the vampires in Gray Vale. She is half fae. She has a beating heart. And she can bring life to the vampires around her, allowing them the ability to die when they desire it rather than being cursed with the same dreadful existence for eternity. Cora’s gift makes available this “death by desire” that is prized in the vampire world. Offering life to vampires is a beautiful gift, but it can also be used as a weapon. And that is what the royal family of vampires wishes to do. With no other choice, she must marry into the royal family for protection from those who are threatened by her ability. But when a “pet” lycan is gifted to her who is her true mate, will she find a way to break off the engagement, threatening her family and everyone else she loves in the process? Can her mate's lycan pack possibly win against the vampires who do not want to part with her? Or will they be forced apart? Published exclusively on Webnovel. What Bells Knows

David knocked on the open door to Graeme and his father's office. Both males were sitting at their desks, going over what they knew of the rival packs' efforts to advance in any discernible way. It was going to be the topic of the meeting later that afternoon. So far scouts had not found anyone in the area, and they had scoured all of Suicide Forest and the neighboring lakes and meadows. There was no trace of anyone lingering nearby who didn't belong.

"David, how's it going?" Graeme welcomed him, and Sam looked up curiously. He had not known his son planned on stopping by the office.

"Good, Alpha," David replied with a polite smile.

"I'm sure you are happy to hear your sister has returned as well," Graeme said, glancing at his Beta who was now back to his usual self. During the short time that Gia was gone with Sage and Theo and Zagan, Greta wasn't the only one who was livid that Graeme had sent their daughter without so much as a word of advance warning.
