172 Welcome

"Fellow leaders of the realms," Ambrosia declared grandly, standing from her seat at the table in the black conference room where they were all gathered for a cursory welcome. It had been quite some time since they were all in one room like this. The power they each wielded was palpable. "Thank you all for coming on such short notice. We are excited for you to meet Cora Winter. She will be the newest member of the royal family after her induction tonight."

Murmurs skittered around the room along with surprised expressions. No one had been told that she was going to be made a part of the family in this way. They were assuming Rayth would wed her first, as they had heard about a royal betrothal but no blood baptism. 

Other than Grayson and Rayth, the only two who did not look surprised were Marcella and Alberus from the Sentarium realm. They remained stone-faced and unimpressed by the news. Clearly they had anticipated a move like this one from Ambrosia.
