294 Insurmountable Joy

Theo and Cora rode the high of the moonlight with the passion that was provoking them in the night air and the bond itself. There were flower petals everywhere, and then there was Cora's beautiful, soft body—so open, so willing, so fragrant and intoxicating and delicious. 

When they were both finally trembling and exhausted and spent, Theo collapsed next to her, continuing to caress his mate's pale skin that looked like the surface of the moon itself. The after tremors of their union raked the length of her, making her whimper and shake, and he loved every sound and every movement. She was alive and real and blooming right in front of his eyes like a flower herself. 

"You gave up immortality for me," he said, staring in awe at the vibrant color of her eyes that were almost surreal.
