Theo pulled Cora gently into the house through the back door and slid it closed, silently cursing the place for not having a drape or something to cover the glass that looked out on the forest. If the moonlight could shine inside, wouldn't it still affect them? Or was the ritual in the air? Was it out in the forest air?

"Theo, are you okay?" Cora called behind him.

Her voice sounded curious and a little unsure. He squeezed his eyes shut and braced himself against the glass, hoping that he would not scare her tonight. If the full moon had its way, he might have a more feral edge to his actions than usual. 

"Of course. Are you okay?" But once he turned around and saw her flushed and short of breath from the walk, her hair messy and wild, the pulse of that desire to have her quickened, and he stalked forward.
