The Naya City

Leon smiled and looked at Thunder while laughing inwardly. On the other hand, Thunder face was darkened, he wanted to rip this guard into pieces.

"Thunder!" Leon sent a mental message. "Don't forget our agreement."

Thunder gritted his teeth but kept his mouth shut.

'Pet huh!' Thunder thought, 'just wait, you bastard.'

The guard looked irritated and impatient, and it was evident that he didn't like this door duty. All this time, the only word he had spoken was asking for the entrance fee.

"Friend! This is just a common pet, isn't ten silver is too much?" Leon asked.

He did not lack the money, after all, he robbed some stupid bandits, but he didn't want to look suspicious so he decided to haggle over it, just like any other person would do.

Other guard stood aside and deiced to watch the fun, he had no intention to meddle in this argument, after all, this was just a routine matter.

"You say, I ask too much?" guard was angry and said, "Either pay ten silver coins or Leave! I don't have time to haggle over with you."

Leon made unwilling look on his face, he took out ten silver coins and handed over the guard.

Finally, the guard allowed them to pass the gate. Thunder was looking at the guard as if he would eat him alive, and then, slowly smiled. It was obvious that this guard will not have a good end.

"What are you planning? don't get me in trouble because of your foolish actions." Leon looked at him and asked mentally.

Thunder was disgruntled, but he did not refute Leon.

They walked past the gate and entered the city. Leon stood in the city grounds and gazed the city. It was just like any other city, but of much bigger scale. The city was divided into three main sections, there was an outer section, an inner section, and then, there was a center.

Outer section was very large, larger than the other two sections combined. The section itself comprised of several smaller sections, of which some looked small and some bigger. Those sections contained residential places, markets, restaurants, hotels, pleasure houses and other many places which any city had.

The residential area itself was divided into several sections, and people lived in those sections according to their social status and wealth. There were upper sections for rich people, middle sections for middle-class people, and finally, the lesser section which was crowded with peasants. Those sections were packed with slums, filth and dirt could be seen everywhere on the streets.

Inner sections were for nobles, it also had several sections, and just like outer section, nobles also lived in those sections according to their ranks.

Unlike small cities, it was a very complicated structure and divided people into several classes. It created social equilibrium as there were many divisions, and not two just classes such as humbles and nobles.

This kind of social structure made sure that there would be no rebellions, as it would be really hard to convince and assemble different classes and bring them together.

It was evident that the ruler class of this place were really intelligent. This kind of place couldn't be built in one day, and it would take many years or even several decades to bring into reality.

At the center of this giant city, there was a palace, surrounded by walls. Palace itself was comprised of several buildings with the tallest one standing in the middle, the entire palace was surrounded by a very beautiful garden, and large pond could be seen in front of the tallest building.

It was the place where the king and his family lived, other smaller buildings were probably for other royalties, and this building or one could say this entire palace, unlike other sections, was very peaceful.

"Where should we go now? This place is really confusing." Thunder was baffled, asked.

He didn't have much contact with humans, so it was clear that he didn't know how the human city worked, in fact, it made him even excited. He wanted to see many places, he learned of them from Leon. He wanted to find restaurants and eat delicious foods, he wanted to explore the markets and buy(steal) some valuables and he was even curious about pleasure houses. Leon had told him that people go to those places for pleasure, and he too wanted to have the pleasures.

Of course, he misunderstood Leon intentions here. Those houses were indeed for pleasure, but not the kind he had in mind.

"We must look for lounging first, other things, we can decide later." Leon replied.

They went to the residence section and found an inn. It was not too lavish and the room itself was less impressive, but they didn't care and Leon found a bed in the corner and laid down in it.

He wanted to have some rest first and then get some information about Tristone pillars later, but before that, he must think of his cultivation.

Although adventure gave him many gifts, his cultivation still remained at Body Refining state. He must breakthrough to Origin Core realm before anything else.

Leon was lost in the thought, suddenly, he came to his senses and noticed that Thunder was gone and nowhere to be found.

He was worried, not because something might happen to Thunder, but what Thunder might do to others. This cat was really troublesome and could get attracted by anything in this shiny city.

Finally, he decided not to think about it and focused on Shadow God Art. He was spectral about this art before, but after Dracul told him that there will be no trails in other floors of Mad God Tower, he finally decided to practice this art.

He focused on his mind and started to understand the basics of Shadow God Arts. The first task of this art was to form two Origin Cores, these two cores would act as the basis for the rest of the arts and it's associated techniques.

He further searched the memories and collected all bits and pieces for him to start. He was about to begin, suddenly, a voice came to his mind.

'Find the Dragons… Claim the Swords…'
