Chapter Three: New Club Mate

It was past nine at night. Andrew and Fred had spent a long time gaming, but they were fully aware that Hazel wasn't back yet. She was usually back by 7:30pm and if she was to stay longer than that, then she would call.

They went down to the main living room, with Andrew complaining. He had a pistol in his hand and was dressed up, planning to go find Hazel. She could be missing, who knows?

Fred turned on the TV. He was very calm and not worried. Although it was unusual of her to stay so late at work, he kept his calm demeanor. "Look."

Andrew turned to the TV. There was Hazel, having an interview, with James holding her hand, smiling.

"This was past five. And who is that guy? Hazel is in trouble, Fred."

The door opened and Andrew instinctively turned to the door, pointing his gun at the intruder.

"Shit!" It was Hazel. She had a shocked look on her face. "Hide that! A friend of mine is here."

Andrew lowered his gun. "What do you mean a friend of yours is here? Where the hell have you been? I thought I would have to go round LA to find you."

The door swung open again and Andrew hid the gun at his back, expecting to see a lady walk in as the friend. It was James, however James, who walked in rolling his box with him and another bag at his shoulders.

Fred and Andrew stole a quick glance at themselves and faced Hazel. "Who the fuck is this?"

James smiled. "Looks like you didn't tell your cousins about me."

"Cousins?" Andrew asked in confusion. He was usually slow thinking in matters like this but Fred already had an idea of what was going on.

Hazel spoke quickly, before Andrew could blow everything up. "Guys, this is my fiancé, James "

Fiancé? Andrew was really lost now. Hazel is engaged?

"James, these are my cousins: Andrew and Fred. "

"Yeah. Your cousins seem older than you though. When you said cousins I was expecting little kids." He walked up to Andrew and stretched his hand out for a shake.

"I'm James Williams. Hazel just told me about you guys today. Might have come earlier to meet with you."

"Yeah. She never mentioned that she was engaged before. " Andrew replied. He did not shake James. He rather looked intently into his eyes.

Fred moved in to cool down the situation. He shook James' hand instead. "I'm sorry about that. Andrew's just really protective of Hazel. So are you just visiting? How long are you in town for?"

James shrugged. "Might stay a while. Need to catch up with Hazel."

Fred slowly nodded. "Sure. Hazel, where would you like me to take his bags to?"

Hazel walked up to them. "Don't worry. He will stay in my room."

"Sure." Fred replied again, and the message was just fully comprehended.

"Your room?" Him and Andrew simultaneously exclaimed.

 James and Hazel laughed.

"Come on, James." She led him into the elevator with his things and set it for her room floor.

While in the room, unpacking his things, James paused and turned to Hazel who slipped into a nightgown. "Your cousins don't seem to like me. Especially Andrew."

"They are not just used to other people being around."

 He nodded. "Sure."

"I even need to set ground rules for them now that you are around.". She walked out of the room and returned to the ground floor, where she met Andrew drinking at the bar. Fred just sat down, watching videos on his phone.

"Guys." She took a seat. "Big problem. "

 "Yeah. No kidding." Andrew said.

"Look. I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys about being engaged or anything. I didn't think it was important for you guys to know."

 "How long?" Fred asked.

"Six years, but that doesn't matter."

"Six years? You should be married now!"

"Look!" She took a deep breath to calm herself. "I've known James for a long time. And we started dating and he proposed. We got engaged, my dad knew about him and loved him. We weren't supposed to be engaged for so long. We were supposed to get married in 2015. The year my father died because of your company's shenanigans. I was still mourning when he received a job offer from Switzerland and I didn't think he would be gone for so long. Although we still called and all. I'm just sorry that I didn't say anything about him. "

Andrew sighed. "Well, amazing story. But the company isn't ours. We were just employees for Death Angel. We didn't own or run it. Thank you very much. "

Hazel smiled. "But we do have a problem. We got a new job offer, from a masked man."

Fred suddenly became excited. "The masked man? Huge fan of his. He has this oni bulletproof mask he wears. Very good with guns."

"Well, there is this big auction coming up on Saturday. At The Marquis Center. The star of David is going to be sold. He wants us to get it."

Andrew set his glass down. "The star of David. Is that like a really fancy Bible that he wants us to steal?"

"It's a diamond. Very blue and very transparent. It has been in the royal family of Spain, but went missing around 2005."

"Saturday isn't far. Just two days from now. What'd you want us to do?" Fred asked.

"I need you and Andrew to mess with the servers and the electronic panel of the Marquis. Very wealthy people are going to be there so I'll have suits available for you guys to fit in." Andrew twitched his face when she said that. " I'll also make provisions for tickets. Is everything clear?"

"What are we going to do about prince charming?" Fred asked and smirked.

"I'll just tell him it's a family outing."

"Why does he have to sleep in your room?"

Hazel faced Andrew. "Because he is my fiancé." She replied as it was the obvious answer.

"But, strange, unholy things could go down. "

She got up and moved to the elevator. "When my dad was still alive and James came over, he slept in my room." She moved on and then paused. "And if anything does happen, it won't be the first time. "

She stepped into the elevator and went to her room floor.

Fred laughed and Andrew stared unamused at him. "What's funny?"

 "You like Hazel. That's funny."

"No I don't." He replied with a disgusted facial expression.

"Yes you do. I've seen how you look at her. And now you are angry and jealous because she's engaged. That's evil bro."

Andrew got up. "I don't like Hazel, I don't care who she fucks with and I'm not your brother. I know my family members and you definitely are not one of them." He left the bar and moved to his room.

"That sounds very racist." Fred yelled after him and

helped him finish up the drink he was having.
