23 the start of the cavern

I immediately got to work, I started channeling all the mana in the beast blood Crystal pendant. Frozen all 5,000 mana I used Earth magic and gathered all the Earth and rocks around in the shape of a dome.

the top of the dome was 300 ft above me while the edges were as far as I could reach in a circumference. of course there is large amounts of ore in the area around as well.

so I had to do something with the amount of Earth and rock I was pulling because I didn't have space to put it anywhere.

so I did to it what I've done with the rest of the debris I've collected. I compressed the dirt into stone and shaped them into bricks. Earth magic let me allow Rock to flow just like water.

as I made the rock flow to me I also shaped it into bricks. each brick that was made was immediately thrown into my personal dimension.

with the vast amounts of mana I was using I was pulling hundreds of tons of stone and Earth to me.

I was making hundreds of bricks a minute. finally after about 2 hours all the Earth and Rock I could control was processed and stored.

now I had to deal with the ores. since all the rock and Earth was removed there are very large air pockets and small gaps running between the area I cleared out.

I immediately channeled as much mana as my pickaxe could handle. I struck out with as much energy as I could and the area in front of me shattered farther than I'd ever managed to dig before.

I didn't have time to process all the ore so I threw it into my personal dimension the moment it was separated from the walls.

air magic actually allowed me to fly even though it was very mana consuming. after about 2 hours of digging out the oars I couldn't reach the ones that were left above me.

so I had to use air magic and after another 3 hours I finished digging all the oars out of the area I had drained of Earth and Rock.

now that that was done I decided to stop for the day. I needed to make the staircase up and I decided to shape it out of bricks. there would be one massive brick pillar leading from the bottom of the dome to the ceiling of my cave.

this didn't even put a dent in the amount of bricks I have collected. I managed to finish after about 40 minutes. even though I used bricks I don't actually have any mortar.

so I left the brick texture on the outside but the entire pillar was actually solid Stone, I fuse all the bricks together as I placed them. even if I had used the bricks the right way I could still have made the pillar circular because Earth's magic allows me to make rock flow like water so I just bent them to the shape I needed.

of course all the bricks I have are different colors based on the Rock they were made from. I decided to make this pillar out of plain gray stone. although I do have massive amounts of marble, granite, And other stones.

but those will most likely be used for later on other projects in the dome. of course the cavern was pitch Black, I hadn't put any light source in yet.

I've been able to see because I managed to get a new skill by experimenting with an idea I had. I figured if I can circulate manna through my body I should be able to use it to enhance it as well.

I channeled manna into my eyes and it actually managed to work. I managed to gain the new skill mana enhancement. when using it on my eyes I could decide which aspect to enhance.

I could use it to see in the dark, to see far distances, or to even pick up life signals. it's become very useful later because if I use it on my legs I think I might actually be able to jump from the bottom of the cavern to my cave.

although the skill puts heavy stress on the body part I use it on. although the amount of stress is relative to the amount of mana.

I can use the enhancement to see in the dark without much stress on my eyes, I can even keep using the enhancement for an entire day.

although my eyes will need rest for at least 8 hours after that, but that was more than manageable. now that the pillar was done I needed to work on the steps.

I decided to keep the circular shape going and make it a spiral staircase. I grabbed a large amount of greystone bricks from my personal dimension.

I used Earth magic to fuse and shape them into steps. once I had a decent amount I used Earth magic to move them and began attaching them to the pillar.

I didn't make them very wide or else they shatter under the stress of their own weight. I walked up the steps as I attached them.

as I walked I multitasked, as I attached the steps I also made them as I went. after about 30 minutes of walking I finally made it to the top.

now I needed to design the entrance I couldn't leave a massive circular hole in my floor. I decided to just turn the steps themselves into the door.

I use magic crafting to allow the steps to rise to the floor level and then stop. they were perfectly flush with the floor and you couldn't even tell there was actually an entrance there.

they could also sink back into their place as steps. I needed to be able to activate it so I made it link to a button on the portion of the pillar in my cave.

and another button lower on the pillar at the top of the steps that didn't rise. so now when I go into the cavern I can shut and open the steps while I'm still in it.

of course not just anyone could activate the staircase. I made the buttons only able to work when you input mana in a certain pattern.

I have very big plans for the cavern, but that will take time. I still need to expand the dome shape of the cavern until it has a diameter of 600 ft which will take a few days.

and my pendant won't be full of mana till tomorrow anyway. based on my plans this week I most likely won't have time to use my chances for devour, I may also not be able to find anything worthwhile to use it on either.

so I decided to use the chances to improve my personal dimension. of course I can't devour anything that can actually improve its ability to contain life.

it already has capability to contain life but I need to start planting trees and plant life to increase the quality of the environment.

so instead I'm going to devour ores and fuse the skill they give me with my personal dimension to allow to generate those ores. of course this won't become useful right away it may take more than a year before I can actually start populating my personal dimension.

since my personal dimension already has iron ore I decided to devour copper and tin. after using devour on both I got the skills I needed. I then use two more chances of devour to fuse the skills into my personal dimension.

it worked perfectly and now my personal dimension can generate copper and tin. I decided to use my last chance on another ore anyway even though I won't have a chance to fuse it.

I decided to devour coal, I got the skill from it but I'll have to wait till next week to fuse. I already knew what I was going to use my chances for creation on.

but that will take place later. Elizabeth and nightshade made it home. I decided it was finally time to check their levels after their days of grinding. it seems both had managed to reach level 9 and were close to level 10.

I was very happy with their progress but now it was finally time to sleep.
