Sacred Verses

I was in a van with Arabella, Daisy, Vesta, and Everleigh. Today marks the day of my first mission being an agent. No one told me what the mission was but all I knew was we were going to a city called Woodcrest. They have another branch in Woodcrest and this was where we were going to meet another agent.

"So this Agent is known for her supernatural features. Her name is Yuki Weiss." Daisy said.

"Despite her name, she holds no affiliation to Ice. However...if you translate her name, her name is Snow White." Vesta said and crossed her arms. "Some says she uses Yuki Weiss as an alias, others says she's an incarnation of the Original Snow White, but Yuki's own existence is a mystery as no one knows her origins. Not even Arabella and she hired her."

"I know she's a descendant of a powerful king of the past. She also has affiliation over Nature. She's not the strongest, but she's strong enough in my eyes." Arabella said as she drove.

"I hear that she's a clone of the original Snow White since the original Snow White is truthfully dead. I don't see how Snow White can still be alive taken her death was over 100 years ago." Everleigh said as she played around with Dearie.

I looked at them and rose an eyebrow. "Everyone has a different theory it seems, but I'm not all too shocked. With someone who's name means Snow White and the real Snow White is actually dead, it could leave room for some conspiracies, but when has Earth not had conspiracies? I mean, my father and Leo have their own conspiracies surrounding them too."

"True." Arabella said.

"Well you can learn more about Yuki when we get there. I'm sure she'll be happy to meet you." Daisy said and smiled at me.

I nodded and sat back in my seat and looked out the window. I was more curious about Yuki now taken she has a lot of theories surrounding her, but I was more curious about the mission that we were going on as I still had zero information about the mission.

We made it to Woodcrest and the area had the most trees I've seen in my life. Woodcrest was a perfect name for this city...it looked magical, almost supernatural. The city wasn't the only supernatural thing but the people who inhabited the city as well. Amongst the humans were elves and some dwarves.

"This is said to be Yuki's Domain. People treat her like a Princess here. Welcome to Woodcrest, a place where you will find Elves, Dwarves, and maybe some animal folk." Arabella said.

"Most people think other beings other than humans can't live together amongst humans, but Woodcrest is a perfect case of a harmonious environment where all can live together. It also helps to know that Yuki is a pure and gentle maiden figure and because of that people respect her and her wishes." Everleigh said.

"I see." I said and noticed we were pulling up to another HQ.

Arabella stopped the van and we got out. I noticed a woman notice us and she smiled. She hurried over toward us and bowed.

"Miss Arabella~ I'm glad you made it here in one piece..~" The woman said.

"Thank you, Yuki. I'm also glad you were able to keep the HQ in one piece as well~" Arabella said.

Yuki was a dangerously beautiful woman with ivory white skin, long, wavy black hair, pale blue eyes, and a pure and sweet smile. She had a thin, lithe, body with small breasts wearing a blue and white gothic corset dress and a blood red lace veil.

"Oh this must be the new agent!~ I didn't know we had a male agent~" Yuki said and smiled at me. "Hi, I'm Yuki Weiss~ It's a pleasure to meet you~"

I watched Yuki hold her hand out. Out of courtesy, I took her hand then felt time had stopped. I stared at Yuki and felt a cold presence from her then shook my head and time had resumed as normal. Yuki stared at me and tilted her head with her usual sweet smile.

"Ooo~ I think he's captivated~" Daisy giggled.

"Have I stolen his heart already?~" Yuki giggled.

"S-Sorry about that...My name is Claudio." I said.

"Claudio...what a wonderful name, would you happen to be the son of Luke Rose?" Yuki asked.

"You know my dad?" I asked.

"Mhm!~ He and Leo visits Woodcrest often. They also wish to view the secrets of the Sacred Verses that's been showing up as of recently." Yuki said then covered her mouth and looked at Arabella quickly.

Arabella laughed a bit and held her arms. "It's fine, Yuki~"

"Sacred Verses?" I asked.

"Recently Sacred Verses have been popping up around the world. These divine texts are said to be sent down by an unknown entity and I wanted to investigate them. They are written in a strange language called Enochian. Our enemies have also wanted to learn about the Sacred Verses based on the reports of Everleigh." Arabella said.

I had many questions now. I didn't want to waste too much time so I only went with the major questions. "So, our enemies...Other than the System Wielders, who are they?"

"An Occult Organization who uses our Darlings and turns them into beings known as Angeluses. They only do this because of the fact that our Darlings have a bit of Wonder Energy within them. They only target those who are VIP 5 and above since they are Spiritually Awakened. They have a clear motive...but we don't know their motives, however we do know that these Angeluses are capable of turning some of our Agents rogue and the only way to stop these Rogue Agents...is to kill them." Arabella explained.

I looked at Dearie for confirmation.

"Affirmative. Rogue Agents are especially dangerous as they have the strongest amount of Wonder Energy. To be turned into a Angelus would potentially make them unstoppable." Dearie confirmed.

"Is this why you're helping me reach VIP 20?" I asked.

"Yeah. You see, a mans love and lust is enough to revert these Angeluses back into our normal Darlings as it breaks the curse set upon them." Everleigh said. "This organization has a plan called Project Revelation. They wish to open the first layer of Heaven so they can ascend into Godhood and find the source where the Wonder Star lies. They know they can't do it alone so they target us and our Darlings as we are the most connected to the Wonder Star."

I looked at Dearie and she couldn't confirm this information as she didn't know enough about the organization. "These Sacred Verses, they hold any true significance?"

"They do." Vesta said. "These Verses hold great power. Power beyond the Wonder Star. Have you ever heard of an artifact called The Book of Draconia?"

"Nope." I said.

"It's more localized as The Book of the Dragon Summoner. Well these Sacred Verses belong to a similar book known as the Grimoire of Revelation. There's a story behind that book." Arabella said and crossed her arms.

"What is it?" I asked.

"That book tells the story about an ancient plan that was meant to be used back in the Ancient Egyptian Days..a plan called Operation: Ascension. A plan that was meant to help humans gain access to the Garden of Beginnings. It failed of course, but some are still trying to obtain such power. We are going to stop them." Arabella said.

"We? I'm still a human in case you've forgotten." I said.

"I know, my love, but Dearie is your personalized assistant~ That's the whole reason I gave her to you~ You need her and she needs you.." Arabella said and caressed my cheek.

"Right." I said.

"Alright, let's go acquire that Sacred Verse." Arabella said.

"Report: Grand Signal of a Sacred Verse here." Dearie said.

I looked ahead and noticed a golden light. I looked at Dearie and she scanned the area. I looked at the map on my phone and noticed multiple enemy icons appear on the map. "There's about ten targets here..."

"Ten huh..? Well we can handle them~" Arabella said and smiled. "Let's go."

Leo blocked an attack then palmed the cloaked figure's chest, pushing them back then aimed his gun at them and fired a bullet. The figure dodged the bullet and dashed toward him. Leo evaded the attack then grabbed their arm and chopped the front of their neck then put a bullet through their head. The figure dropped dead then soon rose back up.

"These bastards don't die huh?" Leo asked.

"That's because they have a source. Think of the game of Chess we played at the Casino yesterday. The Pawns can't be captured when a Bishop is around them. It's exactly like that." My dad said and went back to back with Leo.

"Hmph. I see, but they all look the same. Finding the Bishop is easier said than done." Leo said and reloaded his pistol.

My dad chuckled softly and stared at the cloaked figures. "Well Mr. Reigns, this is when you just gotta kill everyone at once until you've found the right one."

"Figures.." Leo said and prepared himself.

The cloaked figures inched closer to them then one took a step forward and a spatial rift opened beneath them and a spatial spear shot out of the rift and went through the figure's head. More spatial rifts opened then spears began to strike the cloaked figures one by one.

The spears disappeared and the figures were brought back to life. I watched them and grunted softly.

"Analysis: A Bishop is using a Spell known as Revive. Proposal: Kill the Bishop." Dearie said.

"Mark the position of the Bishop." I said.

"Position marked." Dearie said as she highlighted the Bishop.

"Seems that the Agents have come to back us up." My dad said and chuckled.

"I've got the Bishop's position! Aim for the Cloaked Figure with the white marking that's upside down!" I said.

Daisy held out her hand and formed a small orb of Astral Energy at the Bishop then fired a magic blast at the Bishop. The Bishop dodged the blast then dashed toward us.

Leo noticed and looked over at us then noticed me. "Claudio..?"

The Bishop went launched a magic blast at us and we all scattered to dodge the blast. Vesta opened multiple spatial rifts and fired a white ray of energy into the center rift then the white ray of energy began shooting in and out of the rifts, but the Bishop dodged the ray each time then teleported away from the rifts.

Yuki drew the symbol of a bear and a bear made from spirit energy rushed toward the Bishop. The Bishop commanded one of their pawns to take the attack for them. The spirit bear mauled the pawn and disappeared.

"This Bishop is insanely reactive, Daisy, Vesta, nor Yuki can land a hit. Dearie, lock on!" I commanded.

Dearie locked onto the Bishop and began to fire multiple lasers at the Bishop. The Bishop dodged the lasers then formed two magic circles at their hands then launched to beams of energy at us. Vesta appeared in front of me and used her spatial rift to suck in the beams.

"If this is a Bishop from the game for Chess, it isn't proficient at melee combat. I'm going in! Dearie, Defense Mode!" I said then ran out toward the Bishop.

"Claudio wait!" Arabella said.

The Bishop watched me then braced themselves and lightning crackled around them. The Bishop appeared in front of me at lightning speeds and caught me off guard. My dad pushed me out the way and parried each strike from the Bishop then chopped their neck and flipped them over his shoulder.

The Bishop landed on their feet and grunted when Leo got them down on one knee then my dad shot a bullet through their head. I watched and stood up then Arabella hurried over to me.

"Are you okay, my love?" Arabella asked.

"Yeah I'm fine..." I said and looked at Arabella. I looked back at the Bishop.

The hood of the figure came off and revealed a woman. Lightning circled around the woman's head then formed a lightning halo. The woman opened her eyes and a burst of lightning blew us away. Arabella caught me and slid backwards.

"Warning: Angelus Levina has appeared!" Dearie said.

Levina stood up and laughed. "Dearie Corps...die..." Levina summoned eight knives that were in the shape of lightning bolts. She smirked and got into her stance then licked her lips.

Yuki grunted softly as she watched Levina devolve into madness. "Levina!"

"It's too late for her now, Yuki! She's a Rogue Agent and an Angelus! We have no choice but to kill her as Claudio isn't strong enough to actually save her." Daisy said and adjusted her hat.

Vesta summoend two spatial rifts then reached into them, pulling out two rifles then got into her stance. "There's no saving her anymore..."

Levina dashed toward us and Daisy tried to hold her down with her Spiritual Pressure, but Levina was strong enough to resist it. She slashed at Daisy, but Daisy dodged the slash then summoned a blade made from her Astral Energy then grabbed it and clashed with Levina rapidly. Levina flipped backwards and threw her knives then they landed on the ground, discharging electricity everywhere.

Everleigh snapped her fingers and the electricity was dispelled then she dashed toward Levina. She went for a spinning kick, but Levina dodged it and grabbed her leg. She was about to strike her leg, but Everleigh launched an energy blast right at Levina's face then hit her with a spinning heel kick, knocking her away.

"Warning: You can not engage in battle. Proposal: Retreat until the battle is over." Dearie said.

Arabella looked at me and nodded. "Dearie is right, but don't worry...I will be with you."

I nodded and retreated with Arabella from the danger area.

Levina laughed as she caused a row of thunderbolts to strike down, but Daisy and the others dodged the bolts then Levina caused three columns of thunderbolts to crash down. Everleigh dodged the thunderbolts and caused time to slow down. She dashed toward Levina and kicked her stomach with a powerful force behind it then resumed time.

Levina landed on her back and groaned softly. Vesta appeared above Levina and launched two beams from her rifles at Levina. The beams hit Levina and went through her body. Vesta landed on the ground and watched Levina's halo disappear.

Yuki hurried toward Levina and got down onto her knees beside her. "Levina..."

I left the hiding spot and noticed Yuki mourning Levina's death. I couldn't quite explain it, but I could understand her pain. Yuki had lost someone close to her because of corruption.

Yuki wiped her eyes and stood up. "Sorry that I couldn't help more..."

"It's okay, we understand why..." Daisy said and comforted Yuki.

We let Yuki bury Levina and say her final goodbyes before heading to the Sacred Verse. Once we got to the Sacred Verse, I noticed the verse was written on a stone tablet.

I picked up the stone tablet and noticed I could read the words that was written.

"Can you read it?" Vesta asked and watched me.

"I can actually..." I said then began to read them what the Sacred Verse said.

"Verse One: Creation.."

"In the Beginning of Life, a phenomenon called the Origin Blast formed the first layer of Heaven called Elo and the first signs of life was created. Three beings known as the Original Ones were created. They were known as Alpha, Nexus, and Omega..."

"These three beings hold Unlimited Power and all play a crucial role in the creation of our universe...."

I looked at everyone and they noticed the stone tablet shining. The stone tablet became energy particles and entered my body. I grunted lightly then noticed a marking appear on my arm.

[Learned Sacred Spell: Light Blast.]

"What the...the stone tablet just entered his body..." Vesta said in awe.

Leo watched me and crossed his arms. "Now that is a strange occurrence. How do you feel, Claudio?"

"I mean I feel no different." I said and looked at myself.

Arabella smiled at me and held her arms. "Well, if all is true...We might have a real game changer on our hands because this would mean Claudio...is connected to these Verses."

I looked at Arabella then looked at the marking on my arm. I wondered how I was connected to the Verses or how I was able to read these Verses. I looked at Dearie and she even shrugged, not able to answer or explain. All I knew was I was just ready to go home.
