Green Mountain

The chauffeur did his best to shorten their travel time. When they entered the military camp, although the road was a bit bumpy, nobody utter a single word of complaint. Not even Liu Zijian who looked calm at the back seat.

Looking closely, he was actually a little pleased.

In the end, what matter most to the young master was to arrive early.

The moment it stopped the young man swiftly got off the car. He was already smiling as he came closer to Han Meixiu who was still rubbing her palms together.

Han Meixiu's movement became slower as she followed the movement of Liu Zijian from the moment he got off the car. There was an urge inside her to hug him but she was conscious as there were other people around.

'He's here!' Her mind was shouting.

"Thank you Sir Sigma." Liu Zijian said while he extended his hand and grabbed his wife's and bowed to express his gratitude to the older man.

Liu Zijian actually didn't realize Sir Sigma was there until he was just a few steps away.

"It's nothing. Lius are always welcome in this camp." Sir Sigma responded looking delighted than usual as he observed the young couple.

When the car finally left, Sir Sigma let out a sigh.

'It's so good to be young.'

The actions of the two although they deliberately hid their excitement was not left unnoticed by his discerning eyes.

He was smiling on his way back to his designated room.

"Why did you wait in that gate? You could have stayed in Mr. Di's place for a while." Liu Zijian asked. When he held Han Meixu's hand earlier, he felt the coldness within.

He firmly enclosed both of her hands as if trying to transfer his own warmth to her.

"It's okay. I was thinking that maybe you would arrive early." Upon finishing her answer she sneezed wholeheartedly. Then it was followed by two more.

"This…" Liu Zijian didn't know if he would scold or applaud Han Meixiu. He sighed and reached the box of tissues nearby. After pulling out some he gently dabbed them to Han Meixiu's nose.

Han Meixiu was caught off guard. She felt like a child being taken care of. Surprisingly, she enjoyed the attention and the care she was receiving. She felt it was worth enduring the cold earlier.

"Is there anything you want to do before going home?"

"I'm hungry. I want some soup." She answered while assisting Liu Zijian's hand as he was wiping her nose.

Liu Zijian went silence for while as he considered the travel time going back to Liu's residence.

"How far are we from the Green Mountain?" Liu Zijian asked the chauffeur.

Green Mountain is a mountain resort owned by the Lius. It was a mountain resort located outside the city. It's a popular destination not just during summer but also every other seasons. During fall, the view would be colorful as the leaves of the trees surrounding the place would range from yellow to reddish brown.

But since it's early winter now, majority of the trees must have already shed their leaves in preparation for the long winter ahead.

Still, the serenity of the place would be top notch.

Liu Zijian thought the place was not a bad choice.

"About thirty minutes." The chauffeur answered after seeing the result in the car's navigation.

"We'll proceed there. Ye Ming ask for a cottage. We're going to spend the night there."

After giving his instructions he examined Han Meixiu to check if she's fine. The tissue box was still on his lap.

"Why aren't we going back home?" Han Meixiu asked.

"It will take about two hours going home. Aren't you hungry?"

Han Meixiu normally wanted to say she could be patient but she couldn't help to indulge herself as it has been quite a while since they've been together.

"Make sense." She answered bashfully.

The simple command given by Liu Zijian and the conversation Ye Ming heard, even if he didn't want to, were enough for him to know the necessary arrangements needed by the couple.

Ranging not only from informing the arrival in Green Mountain but also the new clothes for the couple to be worn the next day as this was an impromptu trip.

After the call from Ye Ming, the entire Green Mountain Resort was suddenly became busy. Normally, this time of the year was considered lean season as not so many people travel thus the employees were somewhat relaxed.

Who would have thought that the Second Young Master Liu would not just visit but would stay for a night in the resort?

The resort manager who was already inside his assigned room was suddenly called out with one of his supervisors.

Upon hearing that Liu Zijian will be staying in the resort, he started to panic.

He recalled if he had done something worthy to be reprimanded. He also thought of the sales report from the previous months, the cases he encountered, the security, sanitary issues and so much more that he wanted to pass out.

"Did Sir Yeming mention an inspection?" He nervously asked.

"No. He only said to prepare the best cottage and make sure to tell the chef to prepare soup for cold weather."

"Okay." The resort manager answered. He still called all the department head to prepare for an emergency meeting, just in case.

Within 30 minutes, people were already ready to receive their esteemed guest.

When the couple arrived, they were beyond simple surprise.

They never thought that the Second Young Master of Liu family would be checking in with a woman.

Yes, a woman. Majority of them even wondered if it was really the second young master and not the first.

But seeing Ye Ming, whom they're familiar with, the man was indeed Liu Zijian.

They moved their gaze carefully to the woma accompanying Liu Zijian.

The woman was wrapped with an overcoat that was obviously Liu Zijianbased from the size. The Second Young Master was also assisting her with utmost care.

They could see he was holding few tissues while his other arm was wrapped around her waist.

The young woman's nose was slightly red.

'The soup was for her!' They thought in unison.

Therefore, for all the people who never witness this event concluded that this woman was indeed special. They felt that being asked to serve tonight was a blessing. They might be promoted if they would do good.

The cottage has welcoming ambience  and coupled with a smile from the people greeting them, Han Meixiu thought that her choice to agree to be here was indeed correct.

The cottage wasn't too big but it was designed to be spacious. The warm light inside it gave a cozy and relaxing feeling.

Han Meixiu could already feel the full comfort she could experience.

While in the living area, the kitchen could be seen and a chef was already preparing something.

Liu Zijian gently pulled Han Meixiu towards the dining area. There, she saw a warm soup as if it was already waiting for her to be consumed.
