Chapter XV

I stepped outside my office and locked the door while my shoulder bag was hanging beside me. The watch on my wrist said it was 3 minutes before 8 in the evening. Before I could even walk to the elevator I took a glimpse of Dylan’s office door. I still think of Dylan’s face earlier when we arrive at the building. He looked disappointed and down, and I thought it was my fault since I embarrassed him at the pub.

I slowly walked towards his office trying not to crack any noise with these heels that Dylan brought for me. Until now, I still regret receiving this kind of object from him.

I wanted to knock on the door but I was pulled back by my thoughts that maybe he doesn’t want my presence at this moment. So, I stepped back and left the building to go to the pub we went to earlier. I rent a cab even though it will cost me a few of my budget for this week. I quickly leave the cab soon after arriving at the old store.
