75 You shall burn

The whale immediately tried attacking Lucas with its lasers of light, but the boy was too fast, he disappeared from where he was standing and appeared beside Liam.

"How are things up there?" Liam asked.

"There are still some monsters, they are being dealt with, but we can't expect any help" Lucas answered.

Liam was already expecting that and asked, "Can you keep fighting?"

Lucas shakes his head, "I only have a bit of mana left, I came as soon as my innate magic returned, but it burned once again with that attack"

Both boys turned their attention when they sensed the monster's movements, the whale recovered from the blow and was getting up, but before it could start flying once more, Samuel and Leo jumped towards the monster.

But they could do nothing more than a simple attack to try to keep the creature on the ground.

"Can you kill it?" Lucas asked.

"I don't know"

"It means there is a chance"

Liam nodded, "Though it will be very risky, and I can't guarantee that will kill it"

"It's better than nothing, I'll buy some time" 

Saying that Lucas drew his sword, and released his mana, as he did that, another two people joined him, Ella and Julie.

"We'll help you"

Lucas nodded, and the three of them joined Samuel and Leo, Lena and Emily were as well helping, doing the best that they could to keep the whale on the ground.

Liam watched the scene of them fighting against the whale for a second, then he took a deep breath, and focused on himself. Entering in a state of deep focus, Liam began to chant.

"Good world, evil acts. Evil world, good acts. Balance…"

The battle against the whale was intense, the two sides of the fight were extremely tired and weakened. 

The White Whale used Renewal many times during the battle, which was very tiring for the creature, and since the beast is not of grade 4, it can't use Renewal properly, the beast managed to heal its external damage, but did a poor job with its internal damage, and using Renewal took too much of its mana.

The students had a similar state, they all used too much mana already, and most of them had their innate magic burned out due to extreme use, they are only keeping fighting with mana reinforcement and martial arts.

Even considering the poor state of the White Whale, the beast still has the upper hand. While the students have no way to kill the beast, a single laser of light of the creature can kill them.

They have to deal damage enough to keep the beast on the ground while dodging any fatal attack in their way. Which was proving to be something almost impossible.

But because of the extreme good teamwork of the students, the whale couldn't fly away, and they were managing to block or dodge its attacks. Lucas together with Lena and Emily were the ones saving the others from the lasers of light. While Samuel, Ella, Julie and Leo kept attacking the beast nonstop.

It was a battle that not a single one of the students could make a single mistake, if even a single one of them fell, it would be the end. Unfortunately, Emily was the one to commit the mistake.

She saved Julie from a laser of light with her innate magic, and saw another laser of light coming towards her, she positioned herself to use her magic, but it was when she noticed something.

'My innate magic has burned out'

The laser of light pierced through her hand and then went to the side of her stomach, devouring anything on its way.

She fell on the ground immediately after, and their formation was broken. Leo, who was keeping the whale busy, had to leave his position to go to Emily, and use his innate magic to try to heal her wound.

But the Whale was not that merciful and shot a laser of light towards them, which was intercepted by Lena's arrow, but upon contact with the arrow, the laser of light divided itself, becoming two lasers and passing by the arrow.

And then Leo also fell hit by the laser.

The next target of the whale was Lena, who was too stunned to use her arrows, and was saved by Lucas running like a lightning, but not without a cost, the laser pierced through his leg and the two fell on the ground.

The whale quickly aimed another laser towards them, but Samuel landed a punch straight at the monster's jaw who closed its mouth and stopped the attack. But the monster immediately headbutted Samuel who was sent flying away with the force of the attack.

Ella used her wind magic to reduce the impact before Samuel could hit a tree there and save the boy, but was immediately shot with a laser of light and fell with a hole on her shoulder.

Julie knew she had to do something, so she released 100% of the output and started running, circling the beast, using her sword to draw on the ground. Finishing the spell, she said:

"Wall of flames"

Saying that big walls of flames rose from the ground and surrounded the beast, who started shooting aimless lasers of light everywhere. Julie took the opportunity to gather her friends and take them away from further harm.

Lena helped her, being the only one besides Julie who was still standing, but the Wall of flames didn't have them much time, after a single minute the whale dissipated the fire and aimed its lasers of light towards the girls.

Lena tried creating arrows with her mana, but it didn't work, she was out of mana, while Julie drew her sword and was prepared to chant.

But all of a sudden, everything came to a halt once they heard an angelic voice, the two girls glanced to the side, even the puzzled whale tried looking for the source of that voice.

It was Liam, who was finishing chanting.

"Good world, evil acts. Evil world, good acts. Balance. Everything is decided by the Judge. Let the Scales of Justice pray your heart"

After finishing the chant, a light appeared and quickly dissipated, revealing Liam holding a brightly glowing golden bell in one hand and his sword in the other. Using his sword as a clapper, Liam struck the bell.

As he did that, a beautiful sound came to the girls, it was peaceful, tranquil, and warm, but the sound was the complete opposite for the beast, who writhed in agony hearing the bell.

Seeing the result, Liam said, "The Scales showed your heart, You are Evil, and the Judges decided your punishment, and with the power landed to me by them, I shall be the executor"

As he said that his sword glowed in a white color, revealing white flames around the weapon.

"You shall burn"

Taking one step at time, Liam began to approach the beast, step by step, very slowly, he passed by the girls and reached for the creature.

And he ended everything with a single swing of his sword, he finished everything. The sword pierced the monster and the White Whale died burned by the white flames.

Everything was burned, not a single thing remained, not even ashes. Ashes carry sins, but these flames destroyed even that, not allowing any sin to be passed on.
