Scared of Sound

Entering into the apartment complex, I push the up button on the elevator and entered in after a few seconds. Nearing my apartment, I sighed and looked at the fast food.

Arriving, I put the fast food down and scurry through my bag searching for my keys only to groan in pain and knock on the door.

"Aoi, it's me! I left my keys at home open up!" After a few seconds of staring at the door, I saw some movement. Opening the door, it revealed my little Aoi in her cute pyjamas. I walked in and ruffled the head of hers while she sighed in defeat.

Taking off my shoes, I went to the kitchen to put the food I bought at the counter. Going to my room to put my bag and change, I arrive back to a grumpy dog.

'Why did you buy food!' I shrugged.

'That's not good enough! I don't want that greasy food, I want yours!' Shaking my head, I chuckled and made my way to the kitchen. Unpacking the food, I brought the chips out and chicken on the counter.

As soon as that happened, Aoi appeared to snatch the food. Seeing that, I brought the food up and out of reach.

'No fair!'

"I thought you wanted my food? Not this greasy food" She backed away and puffed up her cheeks.

'You know I love fried chicken! This was your trap card!'

I chuckled and brought the food to the couch to eat. Once we finally settled in, we turned on the T.V and ate. The news came on and more tragic events took place and more. Why does the world do this? We're honestly so dumb.

As we finished our dinner I packed up and went back to my place on the couch. Only to see a sleeping girl. I chuckle and switch off the T.V. I brought my arms carefully underneath her and lifted her up and brought her to her room.

As I shut her lights off and nearly closed the door, I whispered.

"Don't pretend, you could just say you wanted your brother to carry you to your bed like always"

I smiled cheekily and closed the door and walked to my room.

(? Weeks and ? Days Later)

"Are you ready Aoi?" Coming from her room, dressed in school uniform with bag hung on her shoulders, I nodded. "You look great" I gave her a thumbs up and I smiled back 'you too'.

We headed out and Aoi grabbed the keys on our way out. Aoi holding my shirt by the hem, I walked to the school grounds.

Hopefully high school will help with Aoi's anxiety, but I also hope it's not too much for her.

Nearing the school, we spot more and more students walking, bringing some excitement in both our hearts. We were close!

We walk further and further until we were met with the gate in front of the school. This is it! We walk past the gates and enter into the school.

"I'm sorry Aoi, but we had a deal. Come on..." Aoi tightened her grip on me and looked down to the floor. I sighed.

"Aoi..." Aoi let go but hugged me this time. I felt my shirt get wet and felt terrible, even though she had the courage before. I guess she still is my little sister.

"Fine, but at least make friends" She looked up at me with watery eyes.

'What about you?' I gently smile.

"It's okay. I'm the oldest in this situation" Aoi clenched her fist and but I only ruffled her hair and went to the gym for the entrance ceremony.

As the gym piled up with students and teachers, the ceremony was about to begin. Though it wasn't like I cared. It is all the same. Though I can read lips, I can't read from very far away. So it's useless! As the ceremony begun, I could here nothing.

This is fine...

As teachers come up and students clap, I did nothing and just stared blankly. What can I do!?

As the ceremony was finishing up, they called up one of the students. Who was that? I felt a tap and saw Aoi poking at me. 'That's the student council president' Oh

Couldn't you translated a lot more of the ceremony for me? Well I guess it's hard considering sign language isn't your first language. And it would get tiresome to do that after awhile.

As the students fumbled about while the student council's president talked, I noticed a lot were uncomfortable and even Aoi hid behind me. What is she even saying to make people like this? As the principal went up to the stage to take over again, I could notice he was heavily sweating?

As the principal finished up, I felt the whole gym give a relived sigh and a heavily burden just got lifted. Man I wish I could hear right now!

As students were separated by classes, I bid goodbye to Aoi reluctantly and headed off to be toured around the school.

After a long tour, we arrived at a classroom. Settling in, I was assign at the far left seat, around the middle. The far back left guy is chuckling like mad. I wonder what he's up to.

The teacher then started explaining what would happen in the whole year.

Honestly everything was a blur. It was just passing through my eyes. And like that, the day was nearly over.

I sighed and groaned. I was alone in the classroom. The sky was getting orange and the school was empty except for the extra curriculum kids who stay after school.

I stood up and grabbed my bag. Wandering the hallways of the school, I could finally freely explore.

As I nearly lost my sense of direction, a girl was in the same hall as me and I didn't know where I was. Tapping her shoulder, she turned and I finally saw the student council's president's face up close.

And I wonder why people are scared of a beautiful girl like you?

"Can I help you?" I was too busy fixing thoughts that I forgot to read her lips.

"Umm, could you please repeat that?" I saw her groan and pull her arms back.

'Just another one of those idiots I see'

"What-!" A punch was flung directly towards my stomach and I could only take a hit.

*Bam!*

My hand interrupted the trajectory of her punch but now it's burning! It's hurts!

"Wait just a second! Why are you hitting me!" I saw her pull back another punch, but her foot slightly shifted so I took a gamble.

*Bam!*

Shit! That hurts! My hands stoped her knee from destroying my nuts, but now my hands are on FIRE! They hurt to much!

"Stop! Stop! Stop!" She clenched her fist.

'You guys didn't stop when you kept bothering me. So why should I?' Huh? What is she talking about?

"What do you mean?!? I've never met you before!"

Her face froze for just a second.

"I just met you right now to ask for directions! Geez you people are aggressive!"

'You mean you weren't one of the boys that stayed behind to try ambush and **** me?'
