Deadly promises

It all started with two like most tales of old. However unlike those this one is said to be true. The last daughter of the Clearwater and surviving son of Clydesmith. One's heart blind by pain and hate, while the other is struck with guilt and Sorrow. The funny thing about tragedy it has the prower to destroy but it also has the power to bring people closer. This very lesson is one the two will surely learn the hard way. So my dear sweet children gathered round and I shall share with you this tale.

Sitting around a campfire an old woman sat with her family. They share stories and sing songs the way all families should. "Grandma do you have any stories?" A small girl with red hair asked making the old woman chuckle. "My dear sweet Lilly flower, I have many stories in fact I just remembered one you all will enjoy."

She said setting the small girl on her lap. "It was the year of 1864 over in the large city of London. Though not known  to most There lived two royal families. The one we all know that rules the day, but the night is under the jurisdiction of the Clearwater family. This family was one of the oldest in their history."

She was then cut off by one of her grandson's "Grandma this sounds boring.*child whined* If they are the oldest family why has no one heard if them?" The old woman chuckles "Simon let me finish telling the story and your question will be answered." She said with a warm smile. The boy nods looking up at her. "Now where was I oh yes now I  remember. "

It was a May evening the air was warm as a beautiful young flower walked threw the town. Long waves of raven black hair gently swaying in the breeze, fair lilly white skin light rose blush on her cheeks.

Dimond blue eyes that could steal your soul. Her purple dress with black ribbons to accent the ruffles. The young woman stood five foot nine with a slim waist. The faint smell of baked bread from the cooling oven of the many bakers. This made her forget the troubles of her family and her roll in the society.

The street lamps softly lighting the way. This night her life will never be the same forTonight  Anthony Clydesmith wants to meet with the royal family. Anthony is a dashing young man with short chocolate brown hair. His eyes shimmer like a freshly polished Emrald. He stood a proud six feet with a light muscle build. His long black frock coat with red lining,a clean cut white collar button up neatly tucked into black slacks complete with fine mens dress shoes.

His estoc secured to his belt. His goal was not to fight but to propose peace between the two families and the community. To do this he wanted the hand of Iris Clearwater.

This however would not come to be for when Iris arrived she was met with the sight of her parents on the floor turned to stone. "Iris darling it's not" but he was cut off by her slapping him.

In a fit of rage the young Clearwater declared the Clydesmith family to be excommunicated, and stripped of everything.

Though Iris loves Anthony she could never forgive him for the crime he committed against her. The funeral held for the beloved king and queen was one of anger and sorrow.

You could not find a single dry eye among the people who live under the vail of night. "Today we say goodbye to King Paul Anderson Clearwater and Queen Karen Clarabell Antwanet Clearwater. They were not just king and queen they were more like a friend. They put our people before themselves as wies and reliable rulers should. It was their hopes that I succeed them.

I can say to you they got their wish. I carry this vow to you and my late parents. The Killer will be found, The Killer will be tried, and the Killer will meet the same fate as our King and Queen.

This I promise you They will not get away with this. They can run and hide but nothing lasts forever." Her words carried a force of anger and sorrow. A month after the funeral the coronation held more hope for the night dwelling citizens, for the once princess Iris Clearwater will now be Queen Iris Annabell Elizabeth Clearwater. The large stone castle had the torches lit, The halls swpt and scrubbed, the candles flames blue and purple. The very room her parents met their end is the room she will make her beginning.

The black silk sweetheart ballgown with purple roses embroidered on the bust. Her hair lay in soft curls. Around her neck was a string of black pearls with a red ruby tear in the center.

Her ears had a single black pearl with a ruby tear extended from them. Her heels made an echo with each step. The whole vampire community stood watching as she gracefully walked down the stream of virgins blood. She kneels before a warlock who is is hidden under a black cloak.

He draws a pentagram on her forehead uttering words of Latin. He hads her a gold chalice full of blood. "Do you Iris Annabell Elizabeth Clearwater from this night forward discard all personal affliction and be the leader of our night? To hold our people no matter the race in higher priority?

To take your roll as Queen and carry out your duties to forfill the responsibilities that come with it?" He asks as she is now facing the vampires, werewolves ,witches ,and warlocks.

"I Iris Annabell Elizabeth Clearwater swear on my life and family name to carry out my responsibilities as your Queen. I will hold all my subjects in higher priority than that of my own life. I however cannot put aside one personal affliction and that is to find the rat that murderd our late king and queen. Other than that I can without a shred of a doubt be the queen you deserve."

She said before drinking from the chalice. "LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!" A Werewolf yelled before they kneel before her. Soon the whole room was over come with joy as the new queen was crowned with a golden circlet. It's ruby's and Dimond's glittered brilliantly in the candle light. After the festivities and daces were done the guests cleared out to head home. The candles were blown out and like the grey smoke Iris was going to make that one particular Clydesmith fade from existence. Only at the time the young queen didn't know what she was in for.
