The studded heel of my boots clicked against the crystal floor as I ventured deeper into the dark abyss that was her chamber. There was no light for the crystal chamber to refract or redirect any kind of illumination and I stopped to peruse the distinct outline of littered furniture and clustered findings of whatever strange human possessions she had come across in her past journeys. All untouched.

 

"Ah, hello there, my Golden boy…" her thin voice rang out in resonating echoes that never failed to irk me.

 

"Enamel," I greeted, doing my utmost to hide the annoyance embedded in my tone. She still managed to pick up on that, however.

 

Her thin chuckles rang throughout the void space and I let out a low groan. "I have told you to stop calling me that."
